Chapter 338
Still, Nancy wanted to find out who Carlos‘ new student really was as soon as possible.
Just then, Seth came up to her and said, “Ms. Stanton, there are two representatives from the government who have to leave first because they need to take care of some tent matters. The other three government representatives will be staying until the event is over.”
Nancy knitted her brows.
She was aware of how busy government staff were. These days, the government had put in a lot of effort to support the tech industry’s growth and development. They would send their representatives to attend these corporate events as per their protocol.
It was already a good thing for Veyo Solutions that these government representatives had attended their event today. Nancy couldn’t possibly complain about it if some of them had to leave early for work..
“Okay. Just ensure that our staff assist the remaining representatives with whatever they need. Also, speak to the reporters and make sure they release articles about the government representatives showing up for our event.”
Numerous guests had attended Faye Technologies‘ product launch event.
The project they had launched at the start of the year was aimed at their local customers. Companies based in different states and cities had sent their representatives to Haye Technologies‘ event.
Carlos had attended today’s event to show his support for Faye Technologies.
Word got out very quickly when Carlos, who rarely made such public appearances, showed up there. It even caused quite a buzz.
Carlos also did not hesitate to answer questions. Whenever asked why he’d chosen to attend the event, Carlos would offer the same response–his tone even, his expression unreadable. “I’m here to have a look at my student’s work.”
Most people knew that Ashford University’s postgraduate admissions exam had just ended not too long ago.
Carlos‘ words stunned those around him. And just like that, the spotlight turned to Ariel.
He was also personally introducing Ariel as his student. She was probably the first person to receive this treatment from him!
Perry had witnessed all of that happening.
It wasn’t lost on him–the quiet spark in Colin’s gaze when he spoke about Ariel, a clear trace of respect and admiration. And Perry knew the praise wasn’t unfounded; Ariel had immersed herself in every stage of the work at Faye Technologies.
What Perry hadn’t anticipated was Ariel going head–to–head with Nancy and winning. She’d secured her place as Carlos‘ student and was now being treated with a level of distinction that spoke volumes.
As the day unfolded, Perry found himself swept by one revelation after another. He’d been shocked, but also deeply impressed. Ariel wasn’t just competent; she was brilliant enough to win Carlos‘ approval.
While Perry watched in silence, his thoughts churning, Ariel stayed blissfully unaware. At that moment, staff from Yeager Group stepped forward, delivering a congratulatory gift to mark Faye Technologies‘ big day.
Inside the package were several high–end display models of their newest products, sculpted from carbon fiber and

laced with advanced military–grade composites.
When Ariel lifted one in her hands, she immediately sensed the weight of innovation. The rare materials and precision–engineered finish spoke of the most advanced technologies in existence.
“Mr. Pryce had these custom–made for today’s occasion. He wished to congratulate Faye Tech on the success of your latest project.
“Unfortunately, he left for Sorenta two days ago on a business trip. He can’t be here in person, but he wishes to pass on his gifts.” One of the Yeager Group’s staff members explained politely.
The Faye Technologies team hadn’t anticipated receiving any gifts at their launch event. But Ariel understood perfectly–this was Samson’s way of expressing Yeager Group’s sincerity.
The display models, miniature versions of Faye Technologies‘ newest drone designs, had been crafted not from common materials but from specialized military–grade composites. Every detail reflected intention.
The gift was more than a gesture–it was a subtle exhibition of Yeager Group’s technological capabilities and precision.
“Please convey our thanks to Mr. Pryce.” Ariel instructed someone to put away the display models.
She invited Yeager Group’s staff members to stay and look around like the other guests.
Just then, Chad came over. “Several government representatives who deal with affairs relating to the tech sector are speaking to my father now. You should go and get acquainted with them later. You also need to take a photo with them.”
Ariel had no objections. She knew that these government officials had actually come to meet Carlos. This was precisely why connections and resources were highly crucial to a business, as they would help promote and expand the business.
The venue for their product launch was quite large, and they had several programs planned for the event. The entire event would last approximately two hours.
With Carlos making an appearance, the reporters had requested a ten–minute interview session with him. They planned to ask him a few questions regarding the tech industry.
While Carlos continued with the interview, Ariel quietly slipped upstairs to take her medication. A few minutes later, she returned to the event floor, composed and ready to rejoin Carlos when her secretary hurried toward her and whispered, “Ms. Walker, Bluum Corp’s Mr. Larkin is here…”
