Chapter 342
Nancy felt she had gotten over the shame and embarrassment of being rejected by Carlos right in front of Ariel at that point.
Even if Ariel had learned a few things about aerospace engineering, they were most likely basic, fundamental knowledge of the subject. While working alongside Chad, Ariel had received special treatment and learned a lot from him.
However, Ariel had not done anything noteworthy so far other than how she was the project lead for the project. Faye Technologies had launched at the start of the year.
Ariel might have met the minimum score required to pass the final exam of Ashford University’s postgraduate admissions test, and people would say that those who could make it into Ashford University were considered geniuses.
Still, there could be some differences in terms of their ability and intelligence even amongst geniuses. If Ariel’s score were just slightly above the minimum score required Nancy reckoned her score was probably higher than Ariel’s by at least 40 points.
Each point signified a huge difference in their knowledge and ability. Even if Ariel were to study for another ten years, she still would not be able to catch up with Nancy.
Ariel might have been chosen as Carlos‘ new student, yet it would not change the fact that she knew nothing much about aerospace engineering. Nancy saw no need to have any proper regard for Ariel.
“It’s truly an unfortunate situation for you and the student who scored the highest on the final exam. You’ve obtained the best results in the exam, but you have to consider changing courses or choosing another lecturer now. “Matt shook his head.
Nancy felt a bit better when she thought about the person who placed first in the final exam.
They still had no idea how much that person, who lost the spot to become Carlos‘ postgraduate student to Ariel, had scored in the exam. However, Nancy reckoned their score should be pretty close to hers.
The highest scores recorded from previous years‘ exams all fell within the same range. So, Nancy figured her score was probably lower than that of the student who got first place by around two to three points at most.
She decided to check the list of rankings later on when Ashford University released it to the public.
Matt sighed and looked at Jayson. “I think this will be the last time Mr. Carlos takes and supervises a postgraduate student. It was probably because of Mr. Chad that he suddenly decided to accept another student, despite having initially announced that he wouldn’t be taking any.
“Mr. Carlos might not spend much effort on teaching and guiding Ariel. After all, she’s not like his previous students, who were exceptional geniuses who showed a lot of promise. If Ariel couldn’t even understand his teachings, she’d only bear the title of being Mr. Carlos‘ student, but she wouldn’t amount to much.”
Jayson lowered his gaze. He seemed uninterested in these matters. Then, he stared calmly at Nancy. “Do you have another lecturer that you’d like to have as your supervisor?
Nancy pursed her lips as she ruminated over the issue.
Ariel was almost at her limit by the time she was done with the postgraduate admissions exam and the product launch event. She did not stubbornly push herself to continue working. Instead, Ariel took two days off to rest and recharge.

After checking her schedule, she made an appointment to go for her second chemotherapy session a few days later. For now, Ariel needed to focus on getting into better shape otherwise, her body might not be able to cope with the after–effects of chemotherapy.
Things had been quite hectic at their office for the past two days. The Faye Technologies team received numerous calls from those in the same line of work.
The news of Ariel being accepted as Carlos‘ new postgraduate student caused quite a buzz in the industry. So, people were calling to congratulate Ariel on the good news
Since Chad did not want to disturb Ariel’s rest, he decided to handle answering those calls. In the end, all those calls were transferred to Chad, who took those calls and spoke to everyone one by one.
Ariel tried asking when the university would be releasing the list of rankings for the final exam results, but they had not decided on a specific time yet. She put the matter aside after that.
Ever since she joined Faye Technologies, while working on the different projects, Ariel had also worked with Chad on updating and developing the flight control system and flight control chip.
Two days ago, she and Carlos had a discussion that almost lasted until midnight. It helped her gain a wider perspective and solved some of the questions that were bothering her.
Upon returning to work, Ariel gathered all the members of the tech department and had a meeting with them.
The flight control system and flight control chip were essentially the foundation for almost every project they had worked on.
Yet, there had not been any new changes or updates made to those two critical components of drone technology in. recent years. Everyone was still using those components with similar technologies nationwide.
Ariel planned to eliminate the older components and invent new, much–enhanced technologies. It would be Faye Technologies‘ very own patented technology.
At the same time, Chad brought them some news.
“Nancy found herself a supervisor. He’s one of my old man’s first batch of postgraduate students, Andre Jones.”
