Chapter 381
When Ariel received the official lawsuit notice from Veyo Solutions, she wasn’t surprised at all.
She had revealed herself as the developer of the flight control system for this.
The patent office had already reached out. They were reopening the case and starting a full investigation from scratch. If anything suspicious came up, the patent could be revoked.
None of that fazed Ariel.
She was in the middle of organizing her supporting documents when her phone suddenly rang.
She glanced at the screen and noticed it was a call from Samson.
She answered quickly, “Mr. Pryce?”
Samson was probably rushing to catch a flight. Ariel could hear boarding announcements in the background.
He said, “I’ve heard a bit about what’s going on with Faye Tech. How are you holding up?”
Samson had known Chad was Carlos‘ son. He didn’t think Chad was the kind of guy who would throw someone under the bus to save himself.
So, for the company to suddenly declare Ariel as the sole developer of the system…
Could it be true?
Ariel was surprised. “I’m fine. Thanks for checking in.”
The possibility alone was enough to shake Samson. Even though it hadn’t been officially confirmed, the possibility alone left him reeling.
After some thought, he said, “I heard Veyo has already filed the lawsuit. Ms. Walker, do you need help? Yeager Group’s legal team is one of the best in the country. If you want, I can arrange for someone to assist.”
Regarding the plagiarism accusations flooding the headlines, he was more inclined to trust his instincts.
Someone capable of developing such a complex system wouldn’t need to steal some base code.
Ariel found it odd.
Negative press had been swirling around Faye Technologies lately. Three companies had already canceled their partnership contracts.
Most were holding off, waiting to see what would happen next. And yet Samson was offering to help?
She thought it over for a moment, puzzled. “Thank you, Mr Pryce. But I’m good for now.”
Samson paused briefly on the other end. He figured that Ariel probably had her own plans.
He gave a smile, not treating the whole scandal as anything particularly serious. “Alright. If anything comes up, you can call me.”
“Will do.”
Ariel couldn’t quite figure it out. Since when was Samson so helpful?
But she didn’t dwell on it too much.
Over the past two days, she had compiled her base code, optimized version, and technical proposals, presenting

them in a clear chronological order.
Chad knocked and came in. “I’ve collected everything from Veyo’s statements, every public comment from their team, and the full recordings of our calls with Nancy. They re all backed up.”
Ariel was already mapping out her next steps.
Chad had been working around the clock. Now, all that was left was the final move. The one that would cost Veyo Solutions dearly.
Still organizing the last few files, she glanced up at Chad. “Perfect. I’m almost done on my end. Have Jan prepare the next official statement. Schedule it for release.”
Chad nodded, then looked at her with a hint of a smile. “Let’s see if they’re still smiling after this.”
Then he turned and headed out to start the car.
Ariel quickly finished packing everything up and followed him downstairs.
But just as she reached the bottom, she saw a familiar car parked right outside.
Lucas stepped out of the car, clearly in a bad mood. He walked straight over and blocked her path. “We need to talk.

Ariel frowned, not planning to respond. She moved to step around him.
But Lucas moved too. His expression was tight at first, then softened a little. “Now’s not the time for emotions, Ariel. Leave Faye Tech and come to Jadeon Tech. If you work under me, I can protect you.”
Faye Technologies was already trying to make her the scapegoat. If the plagiarism charge stuck, it would be a completely different level of trouble.
