Sarah was still filled with bitter resentment.
“Ariel must be feeling very pleased with herself! Anyway, she’d be a fool to think that someone of her caliber could do a decent job managing a big company like Nexura Solutions. It might not even take her that long to make the company go bankrupt!”
Nancy furrowed her brows. Yet, she seemed to agree with what Sarah just said.
Judging by how Ariel had decided to terminate the contract with Veyo Solutions as soon as she assumed her position in Nexura Solutions, Ariel seemed incapable of making rational decisions. Someone like her would never be able to achieve great things.
“I’ll be having another art exhibition in a few months. I’m going to make it big and drive the Walkers up the wall!”
Nancy wasn’t paying much attention to what Sarah was saying about the art exhibition. She pondered for a moment. “Don’t worry. Jayson is going to help me. I’m meeting someone in another two days.”
For the past few days, Faye Technologies had received visits from their clients almost nonstop. Their staff were so busy that they could hardly take any breaks in between.
Ariel had only managed to keep herself going by taking an extra tablet of her painkillers instead of the usual dosage.
By a twist of fate, almost everyone in their country had heard of Faye Technologies and Ariel’s name after the incident. They even managed to secure several work and collaboration opportunities.
They were making profits several times more than the loss that they had incurred during the recent plagiarism incident.
Ariel felt that their employees had done an excellent job all this time. Most of them began working overtime frequently since the beginning of the plagiarism incident.
Ariel discussed with Chad and Janice. Eventually, they decided to organize a team–building trip to Sorenta, a shopper’s paradise, and give everyone two days off. They would also give their employees gift cards to do their shopping.
This was their way of rewarding the employees for their hard work.
In the meantime, Ariel and Chad would attend and survey the latest tech exhibitions held in Sorenta. They could only grow and improve by constantly learning and having a curious mind.
After they had checked in at the hotel, Faye Technologies‘ employees were free to decide what they wanted to do during their stay in Sorenta.
Janice was a fun–loving, free–spirited person. Ariel and Chad didn’t force her to come with them. While Janice
went shopping, the two of them visited an exhibition.
It was almost 6:00 pm by the time the exhibition was over.
Coincidentally, Janice called them. “I managed to reserve a table for us at the most famous restaurant in Sorenta. It’s located near Winslow Harbour. We can enjoy an amazing nightview from the restaurant. I’ll send you guys the location. Hurry and get over here.”
Ariel agreed to meet her at the restaurant.

It would take about half an hour for her and Chad to get there by car.

Soon enough, they arrived at the restaurant and were guided to their table by a waiter. However, they ran into Janice just as she was heading out in quick strides. She looked grumpy and agitated.
“What’s wrong?” Ariel held her wrist and asked softly.
Janice pouted when she saw them. “Why don’t we go to some other place?”
“I thought you liked this place a lot?” Chad tried to glance in the direction from which she came.
Janice fumed, “I must have really bad luck today! I saw a few people just now, and they made me lose my appetite.

Ariel could discern a group of people through the gray–tinted glass, positioned right by the large, floor–to–ceiling window. They were mostly people she knew.
Jayson and Nancy sat on one side of the table.
Evelyn, who was dressed elegantly, sat on the other side. All of them seemed to be focusing their attention on a gray–haired elderly man who looked sprightly for his age.
Chad spotted the four of them too. He furrowed his brows. “Who’s that?”
Ariel pursed her lips. “He’s Mrs. Larkin’s grandfather, Mr. Emerich Cavell.”
Janice was briefly stunned. “What? Did Jayson bring Nancy here to introduce her to his mom and his maternal great–grandfather? Are they planning to get married soon?
Ariel remained silent.
The Cavell family was an affluent, prominent family based in Sorenta. Evelyn owned many properties in Sorenta as she was from the area.
While Nancy was still under a lot of scrutiny because of the recent events, Jayson took her to Sorenta to meet Evelyn and Emerich.
Ariel couldn’t think of a reason why Jayson was doing this. It started to seem to her that Janice had offered the closest, most plausible guess.
Chad’s face darkened. “How off–putting! Let’s head to another restaurant.”
Ariel didn’t object. She was about to leave when she felt Jayson’s eyes on her.
However, before she could confirm if Jayson had noticed her, Ariel caught sight of someone striding toward his
group.
Both Ariel and Chad looked slightly surprised the instant they got a good look at the person’s face.
