It seemed like Cecilia was just asking the question in passing. However, she clearly had a bold, free–spirited side to her. Her confidence had most likely stemmed from her family’s background and immense wealth.
Nancy hesitated for a moment.
During that short time, Cecilia narrowed her eyes. “Oh. 1 just came back from abroad, but I already heard some gossip. I’ve heard of how you’ve recently planned to get Mr. Larkin to marry you.”
Nancy stiffened. Then, her expression hardened.
She couldn’t understand why Cecilia was suddenly being so blunt and indelicate.
Jayson was looking at Cecilia as well. A small frown creased his forehead.
Cecilia tilted her head and smiled. “You should come up with a price I’ll be satisfied with if you wish to discuss the rental. Take your time to think it through, Ms. Stanton.”
Then, she turned around and walked over to where Ariel was.
By the time Ariel had snapped out of her reverie, Cecilia had stopped before her. She looked at Ariel and extended her hand.
“Mrs. Larkin… Oh no. Hello, Ms. Walker. Pleased to make your acquaintance. I’m Cecilia Pryce, Sams older sister.”
Cecilia made no attempt to be discreet.

Meanwhile, it was Ariel’s first time meeting Cecilia. She shook hands with her. “Hello, Ms. Pryce.”
Cecilia was an easy–going person. She replied calmly, “I heard about a lot of interesting things upon returning from abroad, including your skills and expertise. I’m really impressed with what I’ve heard. Is it okay with you if we exchange contact details?”
Ariel had no reason to turn down her request. “Sure.”
Cecilia lifted her brows and cast Ariel a meaningful glance. Thanks. I heard a lot about you from Samson. He had used all kinds of nice, beautiful words to describe you.”
Ariel was at a loss for what to say.

Coming to the exhibition today was full of unexpected surprises for Ariel, who also noticed some similarities between Samson and Cecilia.

Ariel also learned that Samson was actually Kristen’s son. That explained how Samson had managed to land a high position in the Yeager Group as soon as he returned to the country. Samson had a really solid backing. Since Ariel was needed back at the office to attend to a few issues, she and Janice soon left the art museum.
