Chapter 476
Ariel thought for a moment. “Mr. Warbrooke has always been unpredictable. But if he already agreed to help Jayson, I doubt he’d go back on his word.”
“Doesn’t matter,” Chad said. “Personal growth is what really comms. Veyo can’t rely on Mr. Warbrooke forever. He’s just a temporary gimmick for now.”
He stood up and tapped Ariel’s desk. “Anyway, let’s not think about that now. Time to work.”
The next day, Nancy and Sarah made a decision to move up the date of the art exhibition.
Nancy hadn’t been in the best place emotionally. Everylling with Ariel had left a lingering sting, like a wound that refused to
heal.
Sarah had thought long and hard before telling Nancy, “Ariel’s basking in the spotlight right now. You need to boost your image too to clean up the mess Ariel’s dragged you into.”
Nancy understood what Sarah meant. She could use some extra support at a time like this.
“Besides, an art exhibition can bring in a whole wave of people who don’t know the full story but are happy to throw their support our way. If we wait too long, the momentum might shift.” Sarah frowned.
Especially since they didn’t know what underhanded tricks Ariel might pull next, it was better to seize the opportunity while they could.
Nancy didn’t object. “Okay, I’ll reach out to the Ulmer family about the art museum.”
Using a regular venue just wouldn’t have the same effect. Cecilia’s museum was the best option on the table.
So Nancy contacted the Ulmer family’s art museum again. They gave her a quote for the rental.
Later, she arranged to meet Jayson for lunch.
Jayson didn’t turn her down. He met her every need, and that put her at ease.
Over the meal, Nancy brought up Sarah’s idea to move the exhibition date forward.
Jayson wasn’t surprised. He nodded calmly. “Sure. That works.”
Nancy frowned as she recalled what the museum staff had told her. “They said Ms. Pryce hadn’t planned to rent out the venue anytime soon, so the price is steep. They quoted me 200 thousand dollars a day. My mom wants to book it for three.”
That was over five times more than a standard exhibition space. Then again, the prestige was also many times higher.
Jayson looked up at her. “Do you want me to cover it?”
But Nancy immediately shook her head and flashed a soft smile. “I know you mean well, but this is just a small thing. I can’t rely on you for everything. And it’s not like I can’t afford it. Even if I couldn’t, I’d find a way to earn it myself. Don’t worry about it.”
She knew he cared.
It was only 600 thousand dollars. Once the exhibition boosted her mame, the payoff would be long–term and worth much more.
Nancy still wanted to hold onto her pride in front of Jayson. She wouldn’t ask him for that little amount of money.
Jayson thought for a second before asking, “Your company’s dividend payout should be coming up soon, rig
Nancy’s smile returned. “Yeah, so I’m not short of money.”
Though truthfully, her finances were a little tight. After all, the plagiarism issue from earlier had drained her quite a bit. But she

didn’t want to show it. She could still handle it.

Jayson seemed to get what she was thinking. He leaned against his chair. “Alright. By the way, your mom hasn’t partnered with any galleries yet since returning, right? With her skills, she could easily contract with one or two. The quarterly income would be impressive.”
“You’re right. We haven’t explored that yet.” Nancy was surprised
Jayson nodded. “Leave it to me. I’ll take care of it.”
Nancy glanced at his face and couldn’t help but smile..
