Chapter 477
After lunch, Jayson had to head back to the office.
Nancy went straight to Veyo Solutions. There was a meeting scheduled that afternoon.
Jayson sat behind his desk, listening as Colton ran through the updates.
Once he had a handle on the schedule, Jayson closed the file and looked up. “Is Westvale Gallery open for exhibition tomorrow?”

Colton quickly checked his notes. “Yes, Mr. Larkin. Anything you want me to do?”
“Set up a meeting with the person in charge. I want to see him tomorrow.”
Colton hesitated. “Are you attending
exhibition?”
Jayson’s schedule was always packed. He already had other engagements lined up tomorrow. It’ll be a tight fit to include this exhibition in the schedule.
“No, I’m taking Mrs. Stanton to meet him to talk about a possible contract,” Jayson replied, rubbing his brow.
Colton immediately understood what Jayson meant. “I understand. I’ll arrange it right away.”
Westvale Gallery was one of Jayson’s investments. It seemed like he truly had a vision for the future.
With his prior investment, taking Sarah to negotiate a contract wouldn’t be a problem.
It was practically a guaranteed job for Sarah, and it also served as a safety net for Nancy.
Later that afternoon, Janice came rushing into Ariel’s office, visibly excited. “I got some good news!”
Ariel looked up from her laptop screen. “What is it?”
Janice took a deep breath and handed over her phone. “A friend sent me this. Take a look. Is that the painting?”
Ariel glanced down.
Janice’s friend had sent her several photos, all taken at an art gallery.
Her eyes landed almost instantly on one of them. There it was, the painting by Sarah she had been looking for.
A flicker of surprise passed through Ariel’s eyes. “Where is this?”
Janice slid into a chair beside her and replied excitedly, “Westvale Gallery. It’s a commercial venue. I had some friends keep an eye out. This gallery is about to launch a themed exhibition, all about this particular art style.
“My friend knows someone who works there and managed to snap photos of what’s going to be on display. Can you believe it? The painting you were looking for is actually among them!”
Ariel exhaled silently before asking, “What time does the exhibition start?”
Janice glanced at the time. “Tomorrow at 1:00 pm.”
“Is there any way to get in early?” The discovery was a windfall. Ariel looked visibly lighter.
Janice shook her head. “I already asked. No exceptions. We’ll have to wait until tomorrow.”
Ariel curled her fingers, pausing in thought before finally saying, “Then I’ll go early tomorrow and try to get the
1/3
painting
At least now there was a lead. All her digging hadn’t been in vain.
Just after 10:00 am the next day, Jayson’s other assistant, Arthur Beck, was already on the road, driving Nancy and Sarah to the gallery.
Sarah was in great spirits. She knew exactly how much Jayson’s arrangement meant for her.
Working with a gallery meant she would provide the art, and they would handle the funding. A one–year deal could easily net her tens of millions of dollars.
Most importantly, her work would be featured across various exhibitions. She wouldn’t have to worry about a thing.
By the time they arrived, Jayson was already there. Nancy spotted him and walked over with a smile. “Jayson, sorry to keep you waiting.”
Jayson replied, “It’s fine. Anyway, this is Mr. Dylan Hudson the gallery director.”
Nancy gave Dylan a polite nod.
Meanwhile, Sarah stepped forward and shook his hand. “Hi I’m Sarah Moore. I’m guessing you’ve heard of me.”
Dylan smiled warmly. “Of course. I’ve seen your exhibitions overseas. Since Mr. Larkin personally made the introduction, how can I help?”
Sarah glanced at Jayson, then said, “No need to treat me any differently just because of him. Let’s go through the usual process. If everything lines up, I’m in.”
Nancy could tell Jayson had already had a word with Dylan in advance.
Dylan treated them with respect, and everything went smoothly. There was no effort needed on her part at all.
