Chapter 491
The scene quickly descended into chaos. What had been grand and glorious just moments ago shattered into ruins in an instant.
Cecilia, as headstrong as ever, had Sarah’s painting taken down without a second thought.
Ariel stood amidst it all. As she watched the scene before her, everything seemed to slowly blur
away.
Years of obsession suddenly began to lift, revealing fresh hope blossoming in that moment. With this major revelation on such a grand stage, everything else could finally move forward. At the very least, the stain on Elena’s reputation from years ago could slowly start to be wiped clean.
And the challenges Sarah was going to face ahead were far greater than the embarrassment of the
moment.
Ariel turned around in a daze.
Her eyes unexpectedly locked with Jayson’s. He stood tall and composed across the crowd.
Ariel clenched her fists tightly, and a faint sneer curled at her lips.
In the end, Jayson still failed to squash this issue. He would be dealing with a headache for a while.
She spun away and headed toward Janice.
Only then did Jayson pull his gaze back.
Matt stood beside him, staring wide–eyed at the unfolding drama. After a moment of hesitation, he finally spoke up. “Jayson, wouldn’t it be better if you stayed out of this? You could handle it quietly. Backing Nancy openly like this…”
It would just give people more to talk about.
What good would backing her up now do, other than calming Nancy down?
Small quarrels in the past were one thing, but this was different.
“Let’s head back for now. I’ll take Nancy home.” Jayson patted Matt on the shoulder and didn’t say anything further.
Matt glanced toward Perry behind him. “Since when did Jayson get so… sentimental?”
Jayson could be called absolutely ruthless in some ways, with a brutal touch that had defined him since childhood. Yet now, he was considering Nancy’s feelings.
Perry fell silent too.
But there was no denying that today’s event would have a significant impact on Sarah and Nancy.

When Cecilia learned that Elena was Ariel’s mother she gave Ariel the “Into Stillness” painting, which she had acquired from Saral’s gallery, “I’sly right that it goes back to its rightful owner But I need to return Dawnstay to Halread Univery”
Ariel wouldn’t be pretentions enough to refuse, but he said, “Tallding about money might seem tacky, but if there’s anything you need or want, feel free to let me know.”
She owed Cecilia one, and she understood the boartes clearly.
Smiling, Cecilia looked at her. “Alright, you know how I am. How about we grab a meal together?” “Sure! We pulled off something big today! We shout celebrate!” Janice nodded excitedly.
Ariel finally smiled. She closed the trunk and waved her hand decisively. “Let’s go. My treat.”
Cecilia and Janice practically dashed forward. One abbed the driver’s seat, the other the passenger’s
Ariel followed along
She didn’t know much about restaurants, but Janice was a pro at finding the best spots, so she picked a place.
While waiting for their food, Ariel glanced at Cecili still curious. “Ms. Pryce, how did you get involved in all this?”
She thought that only she, Jayson, Nancy, and Saral herself were aware of the plagiarism.
Cecilia mentioned her visit to the art gallery a few days back.
She had overheard Jayson talking with Arthur and ally pieced together what had happened.
But…
“The gallery opened at 10:00 am?” Ariel frowned slightly. However, they were told that the event was scheduled to start at 1:00 pm.
“Yeah, I got invited by the gallery’s director and was told it started at 10:00 am.” Cecilia looked puzzled. “What’s wrong?”
She loved going to oil painting exhibitions. Since the gallery had launched an oil painting themed show, she definitely wouldn’t miss it.
