Halread University’s intervention came as a surprise to Ariel.
After all, Jayson had already managed to keep the media in Eldoria under control, so for Hairead University to discover the issue so quickly and issue a public statement was surprising.
Normally, there would be an investigation first.
Any official stance needed to be carefully and precisely worded because even a single wrong word could damage their own reputation.
“Halread University is pretty quick on this.” Chad was impressed. Honestly, this was way more. effective than the media.
The media’s approach could be entertainment–focused, but a top national art academy speaking out was on a whole other level.
Ariel glanced at the university’s
Social media page and said slowly, “Old cases like this
usually take forever to get a verdict, but at least now everyone in the art circle understands what’s going on. Still, a legal verdict holds more weight for us.”
That was the only real way to clear Elena’s name for the slander she suffered back then.
Ariel had already done some research on lawyers in Eldoria.
Besides the elite legal teams from Bluum Corp and other top firms, Edward was the best–known lawyer in the most renowned law firm in Eldoria.
Chad knew Edward well too. Coming from a family of lawyers, Edward had deep roots in the leg world and was famous nationwide. His skills were beyond question.
Ariel thought carefully. “These intellectual property cases can get tricky. I’m considering whether to hire him.”
Chad understood her hesitation. “Are you worried because Edward knows Jayson and has handled your divorce before?”
Ariel admitted she was weighing that.
“No worries,” Chad said, walking over and tapping his phone on the table before continuing, “The Grahams have worked in this field for generations. If he takes your case, he’ll handle it with full focus. You can trust that.”
It would be a disservice to the family legacy otherwise.
Ariel smiled lightly. “You’re right. I was being narrow–minded.”
“You were just being cautious. Go ahead. Reach out to him.” Chad didn’t think Ariel was overthinking. After everything with Jayson, that was understandable.
But lawyers were a different story. Edward wasn’t Bluum Corp’s personal lawyer and wasn’t under Jayson’s control.
Ariel agreed she should get to know Edward first
But…
Looking at the time, she remembered she had an appointifient with Liam at the hospital
Before leaving, she told Chad, “If this case goes to Court, It could turn into a long battle. If it draga on or any unexpected issues come up, Chad, I’ll need you to keep an eye on things for me.”
Chad paused, looked at her, and frowned. “What do you mean? You’ve got other things going on?”
Ariel smiled. “I’ll tell you when the time’s right. I’ve got to step out for a bit.”
Chad was left puzzled.
Ariel headed to the hospital.
Appointments with Liam had to be booked two weeks in advance, but he had already instructed the staff to prioritize her.
When Liam saw Ariel, his gaze paused briefly. “You seem to be in a good mood, Ms. Walker.” “How do you know?” Ariel raised an eyebrow.
Liam glanced down and disinfected his hands before replying slowly, “That’s a good sign. I hope you’ll take my advice seriously.”
“I’ll try.” Ariel was genuinely in decent spirits.
After carrying this weight for years, she was finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel.
