The next day was the third day of the new year, and Ophelia had promised Bethany that she would visit Carnegie Villa today.
At the dining table, Ophelia noticed that Noah didn’t seem to be in a hurry to leave and casually asked, “Weren’t you planning to go to Waston?”
Waston was the capital of Heloria, about a thousand kilometers from Deltanex. It was not very close.
Noah ignored her question, and Ophelia didn’t press him further.
Kenneth completely ignored him, acting as if he wasn’t even there. Ophelia, too, gradually became more accepting of him.

While reporting, Mark didn’t avoid their presence. “Mr. Sinclair, Ronan has been making a fuss at Sinclair Manor, asking to see you!”
“Then give him the body.” Kenneth said indifferently. Ronan no longer poses any threat to him.
“But, the people over at the Sinclair family said Ronan has been secretly contacting the Davidson family recently.”
Hearing the name Davidson, Ophelia couldn’t help but think of Phoebe. “Is the Davidson family really that powerful?” Ophelia tilted her head and asked.
Mark didn’t notice Kenneth’s expression and answered in a business–like tone, “The Davidson family is the leading underworld clan in Yoskela.
“Their influence is strong on both sides of the law. Their arms business spans globally, but it has not yet entered Heloria.
“I wonder if Ronan reached out to the Davidson family to help them break into the Heloria market or to use this chance to counter Mr. Sinclair.”
Meeting Kenneth’s eyes, Mark suddenly realized he’d said too much.
Ophelia had a look on her face that was hard to read; her pure, youthful face showed no emotion.
She thought, ‘So that is what Ivy wanted. No wonder she mentioned that only Phoebe could assist Kenneth. This family’s power is indeed immense.‘
Kenneth held Ophelia’s hand in his, gently toying with her slender fingers. “Let him be. Send Patrick’s body over as a New Year’s gift from me. Whether he wants to continue dealings with the Davidson family at that point is another matter.”
Mark replied, “Yes.”

As soon as Kenneth saw Ophelia come downstairs, he tossed the controller aside and switched from hunched over the TV to lounging lazily on the couch.
The look on his face seemed to say, “I’m really mature and don’t enjoy these childish games.”
Ophelia asked, “I’m going to the Carnegie Villa. Do you want to come with me?”
Kenneth replied, “I shouldn’t show too much respect to the Carnegie family.”
On the third day of the new year, the Carnegie Villa was bustling with visitors. If he went, those people might cling to him.
“Alright, I’ll be back after lunch. I might need to visit Chloe in the afternoon. You two… have fun. Don’t fight.” After she said this, Kenneth slightly furrowed his sharp brows.
Ophelia’s eyes sparkled like stars, with her face full of gentle affection.
Just after Ophelia left the villa, Kenneth immediately straightened up, resting his elbows on his knees and gripping the handle firmly. He looked totally disdainful towards his useless teammate.
Seeing his childish behavior, Ophelia’s gaze was as tender as water. She felt an overwhelming urge to have his children. It seemed her plan needed to begin.

Rex held his head and stuck out his tongue in mock frustration.
