In Dellanex Central Apartment, Noah served breakfast at the table and sat down with Wyatt in the high chair. The three of them sat together enjoying their meal,
When they were nearly done eating, the tutor arrived to pick up Wyatt for outdoor painting.
“Bye, Mommy and Daddy,” Wyatt said as he left with his little dinosaur backpack and his drawing board, following the tutor.
Chloe’s smile slowly faded as she turned and sat back on the living room sofa.
Ever since she went to collect the samples yesterday, she had been feeling uneasy, and her eyelid had been twitching since last night.
She looked at Noah. “If Phoebe truly is your sister…”
She thought, ‘How can I face the West family?‘
Noah walked over and sat beside her. “Why do you feel so certain about it?”
Chloe clasped her hands together against her forehead, closed her eyes, and let out a deep breath.
She answered, “From what I know about my father, he wouldn’t adopt a daughter for no reason. Besides, Phoebe was raised elsewhere until she was quite grown–up. My father is likely keeping a backup plan for himself.”
This was probably related to his plans.
Noah patted Chloe’s shoulder, saying, “Don’t overthink it. The results will be out tonight.” There was no use in overthinking
now.
At that moment, there was a knock on the door. Noah got up to open it, wondering if Wyatt forget something.
As his hand reached the doorknob, he immediately sensed something was wrong. There seemed to be more than one person outside.
The knocking sounded again, and Chloe turned her head to look at him, wondering why he wasn’t opening the door. Noah roughly estimated the number of people outside and opened the door. A crowd of bodyguards surged into the room all at once.
“Ms. Davidson, please come home with us,” the leading bodyguard said respectfully to Chloe on the couch.
She recognized this man. He was Deven Burch, one of Cheney’s most trusted aides. She thought, ‘Did Dad find out? And he actually sent them here?‘
Chloe furrowed her brows deeply, standing up from the couch. She couldn’t be bothered to ask how they found her. That would be too silly.
In the Davidson family, except for Jonathan, everyone was quite smart. Cheney had been making plans for years, so finding someone was not too hard for him.
“Ms. Davidson, M, Davidson wants you to come back with us,” Deven continued.
“And what if I don’t?” Chloe raised her deep blue eyes, glancing around at everyone in the room before finally locking with Noah’s eyes.
Noah gave a slight smile, thinking, ‘Didn’t these people notice me?‘

“If you don’t come withrus, then we’ll have no choice but to be rule. Deven slowed down his speech, signaling to the bodyguards beside him.
The bodyguards were about to move forward when a cold, stern voice sounded. “Did I agree to let you take her away?”

For a moment, Deven was confused, but before he could react, Noah had already taken action. He lifted his leg and kicked Deven in the chest, sending this tall guy stumbling back.

Chloe was not great at martial arts, so the people sent to her were not the Davidson family’s best fighters. When they faced Noah, they were just asking for a beating.
“Looks like we have to move again,” Noah said as he wrapped his arm around Chloe’s waist.
Chloe cooperated perfectly. She jumped into the air, spread her legs, and kicked the two bodyguards rushing towards her. Noah safely set her back on the ground, and the two stood back–to–back, immediately attacking the people coming at them. “Chloe, your skills are really improving,” Noah commented as he swiftly took down two more bodyguards, his breath steady without a trace of exhaustion.
“That’s because you’re a great teacher,” Chloe replied.
In less than ten minutes, the two of them had knocked out all the dozen or so bodyguards.
Noah took her hand as they rode the elevator down to the underground parking lot. “Let’s go pick up Wyatt and head back to Waston.”
“No,” Chloe said as she let go of his hand.
Noah stopped in his tracks and turned to look at her. “Why?“”
“I promised Elia I would stay in Dellanex. I have to protect what she cares about until she returns.” So she couldn’t leave Dellanex.
Noah’s stern eyebrows were furrowed tightly.
“Let’s talk about this later. We have to pick up Wyatt now. Call his tutor.”
“Alright,” Chloe said as she dialed the number. Noah helped her open the car door. The two of them got into the car and drove out of the parking lot.

At the same time, her phone rang with a call from Yoskela. She didn’t need to guess who was calling.
“Answer it,” Noah said as they drove towards the place where Wyatt was going for his art outing today.
Chloe answered the call, hearing a voice she hadn’t heard for over five years.

She crouched down and hugged Wyatt tightly. It seems like Cheney didn’t know about Wyatt yet.
She thought for quite a while before saying, “Noah, I’ll leave Wyatt with you for now. Please take him back to Waston.” She was confident Noah could take good care of Wyatt.
Noah asked, “What about you?”
“I’ll stay in Dellanex.” She could manage on her own just fine.
She needed to ensure Wyatt’s safety. Cheney wouldn’t dare to make trouble in Dellanex now.
In Milagia, before dawn, Ronin couldn’t sleep, so he got up and woke the lab technicians, taking them to the lab.
“Ronin, it’s not even seven yet. The results won’t be out until eight.” Ryan Becher, a blue–eyed blonde man, yawned, his eyes barely open as he was placed in a chair.
“It’s urgent. Please. I’ll cover your breakfast for the next month. I’m begging you,” Ronin urged. He couldn’t wait anymore.
“At least let me use the restroom, okay?” Ryan got up and went to the restroom outside the lab.
Just then, a young nurse came over. “Dr. West, Mr. Sinclair’s doctor is looking for you.”
“Did something happen?” Ronin asked.
“I don’t know.”
Ronin frowned, glanced at the time, quickly put on his lab coat, and headed to the villa out back. Meanwhile, the printer took in two sheets of blank paper. Soon, the report was printed out.
