Chapter 37
* 1 mind link her, Ashlynn, It’s Dawson. Her mouth makes a little “O“, as her head swivels towards my wolf. I shift right then and step out into. the moonlight. At that moment, we make eye contact. “Mate, we both whisper. Her eyes are round as saucers, and it’s as if shes glued to the
back. I take this as a sign that it’s ok to go to her, I dowli stro spot she stands in. I take a couple of steps closer, and she doesn’t try to move into the shallow pool of water and walk towards her, my hand out towards her, begging in my mind, for her to take it. Suddenly, it was if here trance is broken. A smile comes across her face and she uncovers herself, but still doesn’t move, I slowly approach her, never breaking eye contact. I stop just shy of us touching, chest to chest. She reaches out her hand and takes the one I have stretched towards her, then the pulls me to her. Our lips crash together, and it’s as if time has stopped. I can feel her skin against mine, it’s cool from the water, but I instantly feel. heat between us. Our tongues are tangled in a fervent dance, not able to get enough of each other. I have placed my free hand to the back of her head, holding her close to me, deepening our kiss. My wolf is trying to push forward, he wants to claim her, here and now. I have to warn him that she is special and every moment with her should be special. He grunts in my head, but stops trying to press forward. I can feel my erection, hard against her stomach. I could chip wood with it, that’s how hard it is. I’ve got to get myself under control.
1 finally break the kiss, needing to take a breath and speak. I stare into her eyes, searching to make sure she is ok with me, with this. She has one hand still holding on to mine, and the other on my chest, her thumb rubbing absently over my nipple. I’m not sure she even realizes she’s doing it, but it’s got me groaning with need. “Ashlynn,” my voice is strangled and raw.
“Dawson,” she says. “I’m so glad it’s you.” Her smile could light up the world. Then she suddenly she’s smirking, and she shoves me backwards into the pool of water. I lose my footing and fall back, now soaked from head to toe, just like her. She’s laughing and her laugh sounds so beautiful to my ears.
I come up sputtering. “Really? What was that for?“, I ask, although I’m smiling to.
Ashlynn shrugs, “I was dirty, wanted to wash off. I thought maybe you would too,” she’s laughing again. Then she holds up her hand as if to stay away. “But seriously. I am glad it’s you Dawson, I’m crazy about you. But I don’t want us mating out here in the woods. I hope you understand that,” her eyes travel down to my still very erect manhood.
I shake my head, acknowledging what she’s saying. I reach my hand out to her. “Ok. Let’s go home.” She steps towards me and takes my hand and we walk out of the pool. I stare down at her and I can’t help myself, “You look so beautiful in the moonlight. I can’t believe you are actually mine.”
She smiles up at me, a glint in her eye. “Race ya back,” and she shifts and runs down the hill. I shift just as soon as I see her wolf standing there, and we race down the hill. Our wolves nipping and playing with each other. We stop halfway, letting them explore, sniffing each other, rubbing against one another, and then my wolf Drake, lets out the loudest happiest howl, and hers follows suit. Drake gives her a big sloppy kiss up the side of her face, and she takes off down the hill, back to the pack house.
Ashlynn is my mate. Not just that, but she’s my fated mate. I am the luckiest werewolf alive, and I will spend the rest of our lives trying to make her happy.
