Alpha Gabe
“Garrett, seems we have had some intruders from your pack. Well at least one that I am aware of.”
There was a moment of pause on the other end of the phone before Alpha Garrett responded, “What do you mean? I have no beef with you. I can’t see any of my warriors going against my orders.”
Alpha Gabe sighed, “Well someone threw a dead rabbit against the window of my Beta’s house. Scared his mate half to death, blood all over the place. The warriors and scouts followed the trail. It led to a human ranchers land. The scent was distinctly your pack.”
“One wolf from my pack? Seems crazy. Why would one wolf travel a hundred miles to throw a rabbit and then run away? I can go speak to my head warrior and get a count on all of our men, but I don’t see this happening Alpha Gabe. To be honest, I’m to busy dealing with the Godsend pack. They are making me lose my mind,” Garrett admitted.
“Well they seem to be involved as well,” Alpha Gabe said. “We caught their scent as well. We are about to blow the door off an old cinder block building to get inside and see what’s going on.”
“Now why the hell would I work with those assholes?“, Garrett was roaring mad on the other end of the phone.
Gabe nodded his head, “I was wondering the same. So I take it you have no issue with us blowing up this building and tracking your wolf?”
“Of course not. In fact, I will come and assist to show you that we are not involved.” Alpha Gabe was quiet on the other end of the phone for a second before he added, “You know what, I’m going to call you back. I’m going to take a look into this myself.” He hung up.
Without a second thought, Alpha Gabe sent a mindlink to Cody to make sure the out building was under watchful guard and if anyone exited it, to restraint them. He ordered that they would blow the door tomorrow, to give Garrett enough time to conduct his little investigation.

Carolyn
I was petrified of what had been happening, of what could happen to me. I wasn’t sleeping well, in spite of Cody holding me next to him every night. Every tiny noise had me bolting awake and looking around. Cody had assured me that he had all doors and windows alarmed and that no one would be able to get to me. I still couldn’t help but feel paranoid.
What did I do to deserve this? I had been faithful to my maté, in spite of the fact he was sleeping around, getting drunk and beating me all the time. I had been faithful to the Moon Goddess, praying to her for guidance in my life. Now I finally had peace and a man who truly loved and cared for me. Wyatt was threatening to take it all away, in the name of revenge. Gabe had notified Tobias and they were on the hunt to locate Wyatt. His own pack said they hadn’t seen him in weeks. His parents said the same. Tobias had his best IT people working on tracing phones and anything else to locate him. The most recent clue was the call I received to my phone. They had been able to at least ping the cell tower the call bounced from. He was in Montana. I was on edge.

Cody walked through the door for dinner, looking a little tired. He told me he had been getting together some explosives to blow a off some outbuilding. The wolf responsible for the rabbit incident had been traced to that location. The plan was to blow the door tomorrow. This made me feel a little better, we had a few leads now.
Cody walked into the kitchen and grabbed my hands in his, bringing my hands to his lips and placing a soft kiss. “Carolyn, this will be over soon. I don’t want this to affect you, but I know it does. Can you promise me that you will still be my mate and my wife? Don’t postpone the ceremony. If you put your life on hold, it means he wins. He wants you scared. He wants you hiding.”
