Alpha Gabe

I heard Garrett gasp and looked over at him. His eyes were wide in recognition. There on the ground lay a small boy, chained with silver to the wall. He was dirty and looked as though he needed to eat a good meal and have a bath. The boy raised his eyes and looked at Garrett, The recognition dawned on the boy too and he began to whimper and tried to stand, but he was to weak, and fell back down. Stop. Don’t move Alek. We will get you out of here,Garrett commanded the boy. He then looked over at me. This boy has been missing for over a year. We thought he maybe was killed by a bear or something. He had his first shift and his mother said he was so excited that he told her he was going to hunt a rabbit. She never saw him again. It never occurred to me that he could have been taken by someone. It was on our pack land and there was no evidence of any intruders,I saw the pain in Garrett’s eyes. As an Alpha he felt responsible, even if he couldn’t have done anything about it. Looking down at the malnourished boy, I sighed. We were going to have to figure out how to get those chains off of him without anyone else getting hurt

Just then Cody came up behind me. Alpha, we need to go down the other tunnel. It’s quite a bit longer and there are some sconces on the wall lighting some of the way. It’s not just this boy, there are more. With a nod, I followed Cody down the second tunnel, the smell of urine and death clinging to the space. We rounded a corner and there was an open area. In the area were several cages and inside those cages were werwolves. In wolf form. Two of them were up and snarling, saliva dripping from their jowls. They looked feral. I saw one reach a paw through the bars and pull back with a whimper. That told me the inside of the cage was lined with silver. This whole thing was a damn mess

Garrett had walked to one of the cages, looking intently at a small blue grey wolf. It was female. He kneeled down in front of the cage and commanded her to shift. She was to weak to even attempt to disobey her Alpha’s command. Within seconds, there lay a beautiful petite she wolf, with silver blond hair and haunted blue eyes. I barely heard her whisper Alpha?. With that, Garrett stood and growled deep in his chest, turning to me. I will fucking kill them for this!, his eyes were flashing back and forth as he tried to keep control of his wolf

Placing my hand on his shoulder, trying to keep him calm and aware of the situation, I spoke in low tones, Keep it together, we don’t even know how this happened or who is responsible. We will figure it out though. And when we do, they will pay. Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he nodded in understanding

The she wolf sat on her butt, her legs pulled to her chin to cover herself. She looked like she had been beaten and her lips were dry and cracked from lack of water. Alpha, she whispered again. He turned to look at her. I’m sorry Alpha, I tried to get away, but they beat me every time. They are horrible. Her tears fell but she did not make a whimper

Who are they?, Alpha Garrett asked her

Some wolf from the Godsend pack, he’s a warrior. He has two others that help him,she was growing tired, her eyes fluttering closed. Just then one of the warriors slipped a small canteen of water into her cage between the bars. It was one of the ones who had been keeping watch all night, so he had some provisions in a small pack. She took the water and sipped it slowly. That little bit of effort was all she had left in her, as she lay down and quickly fell asleep, her breathing slow and irregular

Cody,I turned to my Beta. Figure out how to get these wolves out of these cages and silver chains. Garrett and I are going further down this tunnel with the rest of the warriors that are down here. I will mind link you if I find anything more,Cody nodded at me and with that, the rest of us disappeared into the dark tunnel, the only sounds was Cody trying to pick the lock on the cage the girl was in, and the low snarls of the two feral wolves

We walked into the tunnel for at least ten minutes, our eyes adjusted to the darkness. Dexter was up ahead somewhere, I could hear his

tan exit! movements and that of the warriors who accompanied him. Suddenly I heard Dexter call out, Bingo! Alpha we’ve

Garrett and I exchanged looks and then took off running down the tunnel as fast as we could, shifting mid stride to our huge wolves
