Chapter 94

Can you tell us who took you?,Garrett started with one of the easier questions. He continued on with questions about how she had been abducted, if she knew any of the names of the kidnappers, how long did she think she had been in that tunnel, what sort of things that they had done to her and if she remembered specifics about any of the other prisoners we had found with her

Shawna was completely exhausted after only fifteen minutes. Ashlynn had stood and looked over at me at one point, stating that we needed to let her rest. I nodded in understanding and we decided it would be a good time to take a break and grab something to eat, while we discussed what she was able to tell us. Perhaps when we came back, one of the others would be able to talk

We headed back to my office, where I asked the cook to bring us some food and coffee, and sat down to go over what we knew. We had to create a time line regarding when and where each of them had been abducted and by whom. It appeared we had more than one abductor. According to Shawna, there were three men that had been involved from the time she was brought to the tunnel. A fourth had shown up only recently. The boy Alek had been there when she arrived. She was the second prisoner. She believed she must have been there for over a year, and when we told her the date, she confirmed it. She said the most recent prisoners were the two rogue wolves, and that they had been brought in unconscious, wolfsbane darts had been in their necks when they were thrown into the cages, the kidnappers pulling them out and then slamming the cage shut after. She stated that when they initially were brought in, they were in human form, and shifted once the wolfsbane and gotten out of their system. She guessed that had been a couple of weeks now, but she couldn’t be sure, it was hard to tell since they didn’t know night from day. The only way that she had kept track of time at all was by asking the new abductees the date when they arrived. Occasionally, she would hear the kidnappers talking about the day or the time, and based on the clothes they wore, she could tell generally time of year it was

Garrett made a phone call back to his pack. His Beta confirmed that Shawna had gone missing about fifteen months ago. She had vanished during a pack run, without a trace. There had been no signs of how or where she had been taken. We learned that they had shot her with a wolfsbane dart as well, then carried her away, using a scent masking spray. This was what she told us when we asked her how they could have gotten her away without anyone knowing. It had been two wolves who had abducted her. One of them, she said she felt must have been in charge of the whole thing. His name was Jacob. Immediately I knew who it was. Jacob from the Godsend pack. We already know he was dirty, with his darts laced with silver and wolfsbane. With this new information and the fact that they were at war with the Wyoming Wolf Pack, I couldn’t help but feel that Alpha Chris must be involved, or at least aware. This was not going to go well for him. Alliance or not, they were engaging in illegal acts and in the course of that, had trespassed on my land and harassed one of my pack members. It was time to call the Council. It would take them several days to get here, so hopefully by the time they arrived, we would have more information and maybe even have trapped those responsible. We were all in agreement on our plan of action. We started making the necessary calls. This was going to be dealt with and they were going to pay
