Chapter 12
Despite Kaelan assigning three bodyguards for my protection, I was still kidnapped on my way back.
Who would have thought Olivia would be hiding in a bathroom stall? Just as I finished and came out, she held a knife to my throat.
“Seraphina, you were seeing Eldric again, weren’t you? You disgusting slut who lusts after her own
brother!”
Her hair was disheveled, her appearance desperate.
Even now, she still loved Eldric.
I didn’t dare make any sudden movements. Calming my racing heart, I explained gently.
“I only treat him as my brother. There’s nothin
“Like hell! You two clearly slept together!”
between us.”
“Olivia, I can’t believe you don’t see it. I’ve had no feelings for Eldric for ages–he’s the one who won’t let go and keeps pursuing me.”
I tried to soothe her emotions. “We have no grudge against each other. The person you should hate is
him.”
She raised the knife high. “He loves me! I’d do anything for him!”
“Die! Just die!”
In that critical moment, a tall figure in a suit pulled me into his arms.
Olivia was pinned to the ground by the bodyguards, howling helplessly.
“If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have ended up like this! It’s all your fault, Seraphina Season! I’m going to kill you!”
I heard the sound of a blade piercing flesh, followed by a shocking splash of red.
Kaelan let out a muffled groan, his face turning ashen. Yet his arm around my waist tightened.
“Seraphina, are you okay?”
I stared blankly into his anxious eyes. Only two words came to mind:

Serves him right.
“Silly girl, why are you crying? I’m not dead yet.”
Kaelan wiped away my tears, his lips growing increasingly pale.
Was I actually crying? The tears flowed harder. I sniffled, frantically pulling out my phone.
“I’m calling 911 right now. We need to get to a hospital.”
“Don’t you have that concierge doctor on call? Get him here!”
Kaelan turned his head with effort, kissing my lips.
“You’re worried about me… that’s new.”
This was the only kiss between us that carried no lust.
Madman.
Nearly dying, and still kissing!
I wanted to scold him, but before I could speak, he lost consciousness.
Kaelan remained unconscious for two days and one night. Due to severe blood loss, he was in the ICU for
a while.
I stayed by his side, never leaving.
His subordinates all remarked on how deep the love was between their boss and his wife.
I just smiled, saying nothing.
The next day, late at night when everyone was asleep,
I set up a livestream in the hospital room, right by Kaelan’s bed.
Holding up my ID card with both hands, my eyes red–rimmed, face deathly pale.
The picture of devastation. Yet my words came out strong and resolute.
“I am reporting my husband, Kaelan Winters, CEO of Winters Enterprises, on multiple charges including rape, forced marriage, money laundering, and bribery.”
“Below is the evidence I’ve compiled. Please help me–don’t let money be a shield for criminals. He must face appropriate justice.”

The livestream’s viewership exploded. I released the recordings and documents one by one.
The term “Winters CEO Crimes” quickly topped the trending searches, remaining there.
Kaelan had been wrong.
The camera was just a decoy. From the beginning, I never intended to record video.
The voice recorder sewn deep into my pocket was the key to extracting evidence.
