Seraphina was a little confused and asked in confusion, “How do you know me?”
“The night before yesterday, you fainted on the side of the road. I happened to pass by and sent you to the hospital.”
Hearing this, Seraphina was even more shocked than Ethan.
“Mr. Grayson, it turns out that you saved me. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
It was a coincidence that she wanted to be in a dream. Seraphina sat down to calm her mind, a smile spreading across her lips – the first since her release from prison – her heart feeling warm.
At this moment, she was extremely fortunate that the Season family’s house had been bought by
someone with a good heart, not someone else.
“I didn’t expect you to be Mr Season’s daughter.” Ethan’s tone was as gentle as ever.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t know where your parents went. When I bought a house two years ago, I didn’t
come forward. All the procedures were followed up by the intermediary.”
Seraphina’s heart was empty for a moment. It was not a good feeling for her because all her hope was in vain as soon as she came across the news about her family by Ethan.
But she understood that it was not Ethan’s fault for this matter and thus she expressed her gratitude
towards Ethan.
“It’s alright. I’ll think of other ways. If it doesn’t work, I’ll report the crime.”
Ethan nodded in agreement and took out his business card.
Ethan got a very strong feeling that Seraphina must have encountered some trouble, otherwise, she
would not have fainted on the side of the road and lost contact with her parents.
Whereas, she was trying her best to keep smiling, but he could see the helplessness in her eyes.
“I’m a lawyer. If you need help, you can come to me.“, He handed her card to Seraphina after doing a brief analysis of her situation.
And with the words of Ethan, Seraphina came across another surprise since she entered the house

Seraphina took the business card with both hands and stared at the delicate bronzing font on the card
which read “Ethan Grayson”
Along with having his personal details like professional contact number and email for his clients to connect with him without any issues.
And while reading the details on the card, the scenario of the day whe she was released from prison floated before her eyes, when she vowed to find a lawyer to overturn the case and clear her name, in
order to give Seraphinaana a clean background.
And now that the lawyer was right in front of her, she almost impulsively decided to tell him about what she had done for last four years.
Best time hadn’t come yet. She couldn’t be rush.
“I don’t know what else to say other than thank you.”
Ethan showed a warm and healing smile with a suggestion, “There is no obstacle that can’t be overcome.
If you work hard and live an optimistic life, everything will be fine.”
On the way back, She kept repeating the last sentence of Ethan’s words in her mind and before she knew
it, tears blurred her vision.
As the day swiftly passed, nightfall arrived.
Seraphina was busy in Malena’s Meadow, cleaning up the private rooms one by one, without a chance to stop for a minute.
Why was she the only cleaner doing the cleaning today? She couldn’t even see the shadows of other
cleaners in the club.
Although she had doubts in her heart, she did not dare to neglect her work. No matter how tired she was, she would persevere.
Finally, after all the private rooms were cleaned, Seraphina could not straighten her tired waist as she dragged her exhausted body towards the resting room.
“Season, stop“, A deep and serious voice sounded from behind. Seraphina turned around and saw the manager walking towards her with a cold face.
“Where are you going?“, Manager asked her with harshness in his tone as usual.
Seraphina said wearily, “All the private rooms have been cleaned. I’m going to the back to rest for a
while.”
“Who allowed you to rest?” The manager asked sharply, and immediately ordered, “Now go to the

kitchen to wash the cups. You can get off work after all the cups have been washed.”
“Manager, I…” Seraphina was exhausted and her face was pale as she wanted to defend herself.
The manager interrupted her, “Shut up, don’t give me excuses, Malena’s Meadow doesn’t support idlers. You can do this work if you can, or get out of here if you can’t.”
Seraphina pinched the corner of her clothes and lowered her head sadly, “I’ll wash them.”
At this moment, in the manager’s office, sitting on the boss’s chair was a man with a strong aura beside whom the manager of Malena’s Meadow’s stood respectfully.
“Mr Winters, according to your instructions, Season finished cleaning the private rooms and went to wash the cups.”
Listening to the words of the manager, Kaelan raised his head and his cold eyes were as a hunter. He
stared at the screen and saw Seraphina’s every move on the LED screen mounted on the wall before him which was playing the footage of the kitchen where Seraphina was cleaning the cups.
Seeing her obviously very weak but still stubborn look, he was angry.
“Continue the same load of work tomorrow.” He ordered with heartlessness.
“Understood.”
When it was almost midnight, Seraphina had just finished washing the cups. Her whole body was stiff and sore, tired and sleepy, and she almost fainted by the pool.
She gritted her teeth and walked into the dormitory building. There was no one in the empty corridor.
She could only hear her slow and heavy footsteps.
After finally reaching the door of the room, she raised her hand and knocked on the door, hoping that her well–meaning roommate would open the door for her.
However, Seraphina overestimated her roommate. She knocked on the door for at least five minutes, but no one opened the door for her.
Seraphina wanted to cry but had no tears. She suddenly fell onto the ground in exhaustion. Although the ground was cold, she was too tired to get up. She leaned against the wall and fell asleep.
The high–intensity work lasted for nearly half a month. Seraphina lost a lot of weight. Malena’s Meadow had squeezed her time dry. She could only sleep for two or three hours a day, and the rest of the time was spent working. It was as if she was doing the work of ten people alone.
At first, Seraphina didn’t understand why the manager was targeting and making things difficult for her. After she slowly calmed down, she finally realized that the person who was really making things difficult

for her was actually Kaelan.
“Seraphina, if you stay in New York City, your future will not be easy, You brought it all on yourself“, Ethan’s threats and warnings were still in her ears.
Seraphina’s heart clutched fiercely together, her eyes already red. There was unjustified suffering, and even more so, there was anger and unwillingness to yield. Yet, there was no compromise or surrender.
On this day, it was almost mid night again when Seraphina returned to the dormitory.
Since the last time she had slept in the corridor without the key, she no longer dared to be careless
without the key.
The corridor was still empty. Seraphina found that her bedding, bag, and daily necessities were all thrown at the door of the dormitory. She paid no heed to picking up her luggage, and instead rushed straight into the room.
“Why did you guys throw my things out?”
“This is what the manager said. He doesn’t want you to live in the dormitory. He wants you to sleep in the lounge of the clubhouse.”
“Why?“, Seraphina asked with expression of shock on her face
Responding to which her roommate sneered disdainfully, “Why? The manager doesn’t likes you.”
