Fred still thought Claire was in the hospital and hadn’t been discharged yet. He just couldn’t believe that she went to stay in a rough neighborhood.
He thought, “First, she pulls that lake stunt and badmouths Caroline to get my attention.
Now, since that didn’t work, she’s hiding out in some sketchy area by herself. Claire, you’re just trying to make me care, aren’t you? Not going to happen!”
“Don’t worry about her for now. Just keep an eye on her. She will come back in a few days.” Frederick narrowed his eyes slightly and hung up the phone after instructing.
“Yes, General Hawthorne.” Richard heard Frederick’s order and nodded respectfully.
After hanging up the phone, he sent someone to keep an eye on Claire and told Nora, “She is very important to us. However, we can not alert her. Let’s see what she wants to do.”
A few days ago, the Kingstown Security Department had received news that a terrorist had sneaked into the Kingstown slum and intended to create a major riot.
There were many people there, and the terrain was complex. Once something happened, it would be out of control.

Nora didn’t know what had happened. But when she heard Richard’s words, she patted her chest proudly and guaranteed

Then, Frederick remembered that Claire was still in the slum.
“How is Claire doing in the slum these days?”
After the morning meeting. Frederick asked Richard.
“General Hawthorne, since Ms. Prescott moved into the slum, she has been working non–stop for Nora without complaint, from morning till night every day.”
Richard thought about it and told Frederick everything that had happened in the past few days, including Claire’s humble life in the slum.
“What?” Frederick couldn’t believe that Claire would be like
this.
With that, Frederick immediately ordered Richard to go to the slum.
After being arrogant for a few days, Nora became even more
aggressive.

When Frederick arrived, Nora was teaching Claire a lesson with
a cane.
“Do you still not know what to do? Or do you want to be caned?”
Nora was a landlady in the slum, but she had lived there all her life and had never had a good life, let alone being served by
others.
She now felt that Claire was easy to bully and wanted to find the feeling of being a wealthy lady and being served by others through Claire.
The cane in Nora’s hand was about to fall on Claire.
“Claire, are you dead? Don’t you know how to fight back?”
With that, Frederick rushed over in a flash.
