But Frederick’s response was short and final, and he turned around to go back to his room without saying anything more.
Caroline froze.

Fuming, she returned to her room. Seeing the stuffed animal on the bed, she grabbed it and punched it a few times in frustration.
“Claire, you bitch, why did you have to get out of prison? Why did you have to tempt Frederick? If it weren’t for you, I’d be the one with him.”

After venting, Caroline lay down on her bed, seething. She sent another message to Zachary.

Zachary, who was in the middle of some passionate moments with a sexy woman, glanced at Caroline’s message and replied casually before returning to his distraction.

Caroline thought for a moment, using pregnancy as a way to escalate things, but she got no reply from Zachary, even after waiting a long while.
Meanwhile, Zachary had already stripped down, wrapping his arms around the woman’s long legs as he prepared to move things to the next level. WhatsApp messages were the last thing on his mind.
Caroline, seeing no response from Zachary, could only stew in her frustration, lying in bed and glaring at the screen.
