It was just a video clip, after all. The results would be on his desk by tomorrow morning at the latest.
When they were hunting down criminals, the entire police force in Kingstown could be mobilized within ten minutes.
It wouldn’t take nearly as much effort to investigate a video. But one night should be sufficient.
With the instructions given, Richard finally allowed himself to drift into a deep sleep.
However, the moment his men took action, Arthur was already informed.
“Mr. Arthur Hawthorne, just as you expected, Frederick has sent someone to check the video.”

“Be it in business or politics, everything falls under your domain. How could someone as insignificant as Frederick ever hope to be your rival?
“Even if he’s hopping around with excitement for a few days now, once his past comes to light, he’ll never stand a chance at running against you for president.”
Vivian wore a tender smile as she gazed upward. With a gentle lean, she bridged the small distance between them and pressed a soft kiss onto his cheek.
“Mr. Arthur Hawthorne, why go to such lengths to create that video for Ms. Diana Hawthorne? What if Frederick discovers the
truth?”

“I merely provided the latest technology under their names. No way Frederick will trace it back to me in such a short time.
“Plus, he won’t have the time. The real show is about to begin. If he wants to investigate, let him.
“Look, if you’re itching to intervene, then go ahead. But if you’re not, then just let him be. Shawn, haven’t you been dying for a real showdown with Frederick’s right–hand man, Richard? Well, here’s your moment. Go on. You can play him as you like.”
With that, Arthur ended the call. He grabbed Vivian’s waist and pulled her onto his lap.
“Come on, Vivian. Puff out your chest for me!”
“Mr. Arthur Hawthorne, you badass!” Vivian giggled but straightened her posture obediently, her chest rising to meet his touch.
