Chapter 41
Lia wasn’t sure if he would approve of her proposal, as it came from her own perspective. After all, women, regardless of age, often yearn for love.
To her surprise, not only did he agree to the proposal, but he was also eager to make themselves the test case.
He understood the bellflower’s meaning, and his words were impossible to resist.
Happiness was right here, and it was up to them to hold onto it.
Her heart raced as she clenched and unclenched her hands, then took the initiative to hug him.
“Coby, I hope I won’t disappoint you,” she said.
“Silly girl.” He cupped her face and placed a gentle kiss on her lips.
The purple sea of flowers witnessed his deep affection, and she couldn’t help but fall into it.
The man’s soft lips brushed against her full earlobe, his voice husky as he whispered, “Lia, I will be proud of you.”
Lia’s heart surged, and she slowly embraced him.
Except for Layla, no one ever cared about her or valued her, but this man treated her well, prioritized her, and believed in her unconditionally. No matter what happens in the future, at least for now, she had been loved.

From a distance, someone quickly took a picture and left.
At a cafe, Molly looked troubled.
“Molly, just help me this one time, okay?” Fiona asked, clutching her friend’s arm in desperation.
She was out of options, so she had no choice but to ask for help.
“Fiona, I really think you should just be honest with your parents Even if you get away with it this time, they’ll still try to set you up again,” said Molly.
Molly wasn’t unwilling to help, but this kind of situation would only repeat itself if it wasn’t addressed honestly. After all, matchmaking wasn’t something trivial.
“But my boyfriend won’t get my parents‘ approval. Molly, please just help me get through this one time. Next time, I’ll come clean. I’m begging you, bestie,” said Fiona.
That was the problem. Her boyfriend’s family wasn’t well–off, and her parents wouldn’t approve. But she liked him, so Fiona thought she would hide it for now.
“Alright, Fiona, you should tell your parents as soon as possible. Molly couldn’t resist her friend’s repeated requests -agreed reluctantly
“Got it, thanks so much, Molly,” said Fiona.
“Let me think of a way to make him not like you. What does he do for a living?” asked Molly.
and
Even though she agreed, she had to figure out how to make sure the man didn’t like her, but without overdoing it, which was

Fiona thought for a few seconds. “I think I heard he’s a doctor.” She wasn’t really paying attention, just focused on how to reject him.
“A doctor? Probably some bald old–fashioned guy. I’ve got an idea now,” said Molly.
Most doctors were older, and even if young, they tended to be very rigid.
“Thanks, bestie. You’re the best!” Fiona happily hugged her friend’s waist.
“I mean, you spent Valentine’s Day with me. I should be thanking you,” said Molly.

“Best friends don’t say these things. Molly, just make sure,
doesn’t like me!” She had to remind her.
“Mhm, don’t worry. I’ll make sure he doesn’t like you.” Molly was confident about handling this.
Meanwhile at VitalCare Medical, another conversation took place.
“Dr. Walker, when are you going to treat us to a meal?” Nurse Lisa teased.
Lisa was married with children, but since she worked in cardiology, she was quite familiar with Remy. “Dr. Walker has a girlfriend? I’m the last to know, this is surprising!”
Remy gave an awkward laugh. “She’s busy. I’ll treat everyone when she has time.”
Since he officially announced having a girlfriend that night, by the next day, the whole hospital knew. Remy couldn’t help it. Everyone was more excited than him, and everywhere he went, people were asking about it.
“I see. Well, now that we all know Dr. Walker has a girlfriend, we’re all curious about what she looks like. Dr. Klein said she’s very beautiful, no wonder she won Dr. Walker’s heart.” Lisa complimented so much that Remy became embarrassed.
She was cute and beautiful, but she wasn’t actually his girlfriend.
“Lisa, you should check on the patient in bed 8,” he said.
“Oh right, Dr. Walker. I’ll go check on them now.” Lisa hurriedly pushed the cart away.
‘Girlfriend?‘ Remy thought about that girl. ‘What is she doing now?‘
He pulled out his phone and opened their chat history.
After he replied that night, she hadn’t sent any more messages.
‘She really treats me like a stranger, huh?‘ he thought.
[Are you there?] He sent a message, waiting for a few minutes, but no reply came.
Should he take the initiative and contact her? Would she think its strange? Or should he tell Coby? He might strangle him for daring to have feelings for his sister.
At G&Q Design Department, Molly was having a bad time.
The day wasn’t going so well for her.
“Linda, you’re telling me the male model isn’t coming for the shoot?” she asked.
“Molly, he got art offer from an internationally renowned directer, so he turned down our collaboration.” Linda was incredibly frustrated.

Molly frowned. “We shouldn’t work with people like him again. No matter how big his name is, G&Q isn’t going to fall apart
without him.”
She was preparing for the next season’s new products, which required magazine shoots to be finished this month. Even though G&Q was a women’s brand, this shoot needed a male model to complement the looks. With the model suddenly bailing, this became a huge problem.
The theme of this issue of the magazine was “gentleman gone bad” type.
In the modeling world, there are plenty of sunshine guys and muscle guys, but finding a proper “evil gentleman” is really tough.
“Got it. Should I start looking for a model now?” asked Linda.
“Yes, start looking. I’ll come back this afternoon to select the right one. The shoot is the day after tomorrow, get everything right. No mistakes,” said Molly.
“Okay,” Linda replied.
and we need to
This new product line was Molly’s first challenge since taking over G&Q, and there was also a new fashion show next month. Every step, every detail, needed to be perfect.
If she couldn’t even do her job at G&Q well, taking over the Marsh family would be even harder in the future.
After Linda left, the office left with only Molly. She thought, if she couldn’t find a model, she could use an actor. Some of them were really good at playing the “gentleman gone bad” type, and she seemed to have added a few on social media
you annaa before.
Molly opened the App, and just as she was about to find someone, an empty profile picture popped up.
‘Who is this? I don’t recognize them. She opened the chat window and saw their previous conversation. It was Dr. Walker from that night.
‘Have I been running into doctors lately? The person I’m meeting this afternoon is also a doctor,‘ she wondered.
[Hello, Dr. Walker.] She texted.
‘Well, now there’s a candidate. He fits the “gentleman gone bad” look–glasses with gold frames, polite, but doesn’t really seem like a bad guy,’ she thought.
Not long after, he replied: [Molly, do you have time this afternoon? I’d like to thank you by taking you out for a meal.] [No need, Dr. Walker, you don’t have to.] She replied.
Molly noticed that all her previous transfer payments to him had been refunded. If he was going to treat her, she should be the one to pay.
Remy subconsciously tightened his grip on his phone. [Actually, there’s something I need your help with.]
‘Would it be rude to be so direct?‘ Just
as he was about to delete the message, Molly sent a reply. [What is it?] [I want to ask you…] Before the was sent, Remy received a call from his mother.
“Mom, I’m at work,” he said.
Cage
His mother, excited, said, “Son, my good friend’s daughter is three years younger than you. I’ve arranged for you two to meet this afternoon. Go meet her and chat.”
焼き
Remy knew this day would come eventually, “Mom, I told you n
to arrange these things.”

“Oh, it’s just this once! Don’t feel pressure: Just a friendly conversation. Anyway, you don’t have a girlfriend, so just go meet her,” she said.
His mother knew how to play the family card to get him to comply.
“I have plans this afternoon.” He immediately refused.
“Remy, I’ve already arranged everything. You can’t let the girl wait. Even if you don’t want to, at least go and explain.
“It’s your dad’s fault. He shouldn’t have let you study medicine. You should’ve taken business instead. When are you going to take over the company?” His mother knew just what to say to make him give in.
“This is the last time. I’ll go this once and explain clearly to her. Don’t arrange anything more,” said Remy.
“I know, I know. Coby’s already married. You should try harder,” she said.
His mother wasn’t in a hurry, but now that her good friends had daughters–in–law, she was anxious for Remy.
“How do you know?” asked Remy.
“His mom told me in secret. I know I shouldn’t tell you, but it’s because you’re not in a hurry,” she replied.
“Where’s the address?” Remy decided to say less, not wanting to make things more complicated.
“It’s at Encounter Cafe, Room B, two thirty in the afternoon. Remember,” she answered.
After hanging up, Remy was about to send Molly a message. But he saw her message first.
[Dr. Walker, I have something to do. Let’s talk later. If you need anything, feel free to ask.] A cute emoji followed.
He quietly deleted the message he had been about to send. He would talk to her next time.
Afternoon came, Molly arrived at Encounter Cafe ten minutes later than scheduled.
Her main goal wasn’t to go on a blind date but to ruin it. As much as she felt bad for the other person, she had no choice. Her good friend already had a boyfriend, and she couldn’t split herself in half.
ि
She walked over to the floor–to–ceiling window, looking at the exaggerated makeup and hip–hop style outfit she was wearing It was so over the top that the other person would surely be put off.
Molly purposely wore her jacket loosely, with the collar pulled low, making her look like a hooker
If her brother saw her like this, she’d probably be ridiculed.
Remy glanced at his watch, casually sipping his coffee. He’d wait another ten minutes, and if the person didn’t show up, he’d leave.
Ten minutes later, Remy stood up, planning to leave.
Bang!
The door opened, and a woman with disheveled hair rushed in.
“Sorry, I got stuck in traffic, I…” Molly steadied herself and was stunned when she saw the man in front of her.
“Dr. Walker, what are you doing here?”
