Chapter 42
Remy looked at the woman, her heavy makeup and disheveled clothes, furrowing his brow slightly. “You’re Miss Fiona?”
Molly felt embarrassed. How did she not realize that her blind date was Dr. Walker?
“I, hehe…” Under his gaze, she felt unreasonably guilty.
He slowly walked toward her, and Molly instinctively took a step back. “Dr. Walker, it’s been a while.”
Her back hit the wall, trapped in a difficult position.
“What are you wearing?” The man calmly adjusted her coat, and Molly stiffened, stammering. “It’s, uh, it’s just a style.”
“Don’t wear this kind of thing again.” Remy finished adjusting her clothes before turning his attention to her heavily made- up face.
Smoky eye makeup, bright red lips–she had ruined her originally fair face, making it look almost unrecognizable.
“Oh.” She wondered why he was even bothered by this.
“So why do you pretend to be Fiona?” His expression was serious, and Molly felt like a child who had done something wrong, standing there obediently.
“She’s my friend, she has a boyfriend, so I just… ” Molly felt very awkward.
If she had known, she would have just communicated through her phone, saving herself the trouble of dressing up like this.
Remy raised an eyebrow. “Did you dress like this on purpose to make me back off?”
Molly nervously fiddled with her fingers, laughing awkwardly. “No, you’re great. Fiona just feels like she doesn’t match up.”
He scanned her from head to toe and said indifferently, “Since you’re here, sit down and have a coffee.”
She was not in the mood at all. She was so embarrassed. “No need, Dr. Walker. Next time…”
Remy interrupted her slowly. “I actually wanted to ask for your help, but if you don’t want to, I won’t force it.”
“I’m willing, of course!” Molly said, quickly sitting down. She had to please him now.
“Do you want sugar in your coffee?” he asked, picking up a small spoon.
“Half a spoon, thank you,” she replied.
Watching the man’s graceful movements, Molly couldn’t help but think–did he really need to go on blind dates? Didn’t he have plenty of nurses chasing him around?
If her good friend didn’t have a boyfriend, setting her up with him wouldn’t be a bad thing. Dr. Walker seemed like the type of man who could resist temptation, and he was far more respectful to women than most men.
“Can I call you Molly?” Remy placed the coffee in front of her and set the spoon down.
“Sure, Dr. Walker. Can I ask you a favor? When you go back, just say you and your blind date weren’t a match. You can make up any excuse, please, please.” Molly clasped her hands together, pleading.
He casually took a sip of the coffee, then agreed without hesitation. “Okay.”
“Thank you, Dr. Walker” Molly sighed in relief, glad she hadn’t wasted her time.

Remy watched her little gesture, the corner of his mouth lifting slightly. “Molly, I have a favor to ask of you too.”

“Dr. Walker, if you need anything, just say it. I’ll definitely help.” Molly eagerly agreed. If they were helping each other, she wouldn’t feel guilty.
“Last time my colleague saw you and asked me to treat them to a meal, do you remember, Molly?” he asked.
Molly took a small sip of coffee. “Yes, I remember. Your colleagues were very friendly.”
Remy rubbed his hand under the table and, feeling a bit awkward, said, “I want to treat everyone to a meal. Can you pretend to be my girlfriend again?”
“Huh?” Molly swallowed the coffee. Again?
He crossed his legs, his voice slightly lowered. “You don’t want to”
Molly shook her head. “It’s just. What if you actually find some girl you like in the future? Wouldn’t it be awkward then?”
He smirked slightly. “It’s fine, I won’t run into anyone like that.”
‘What does that mean?‘ Molly thought to herself. ‘Could it be that he likes men?‘
She looked him over carefully. If he did, that would be a bit of a shame for the ladies out there.
“Sure Il help,” Molly said.
“When do you have time?” asked Remy.
I’ve been a bit busy lately, maybe this weekend. Are you okay with that?” asked Molly.
“Alright.” Remy picked up his coffee, drinking while watching her
‘Is she nice to everyone?‘ he wondered.
Thinking this, he couldn’t help but feel uneasy.
Ring, ring…
Molly took her phone out of her bag. “Sorry, Dr. Walker, I need to take this call.”
Remy nodded. “No problem, go ahead.”
As soon as the call connected, Linda’s excited voice came through. “I found the model. They’re waiting for you at the company.”
Molly glanced at the time, realizing she and Remy were almost done.
“Okay, I’ll be right back,” she said.
After hanging up, Molly smiled apologetically at him. “Dr. Walker, I have some work at the company. If there’s nothing
else…”
“Molly, you’re a designer?” he asked.
“Yeah,” she said.
“I’m free. Can I come by and take a look?” Remy asked.
‘He wants to come?‘ Molly thought that having a comparison would help her find a better model, so she immediately agreed.

The G&Q design department was just across the street from the main store. Molly usually worked here and occasionally went to the main store for a check–up.
When Molly brought Remy to their design department, Linda was giving her subtle looks. “Did you bring a model with you? You have great taste.”
The height, posture, wide shoulders and narrow waist–his body shape was practically perfect.
A model? The man remained silent.
Molly understood Linda’s reaction–she had felt the same when she first saw Remy.
Not wanting the man to overhear, she pulled Linda aside. “He’s not a model, just my guest. He’s here for a visit.
If she had to choose, she would definitely pick him, but Molly didn’t dare to ask, since he was a doctor by profession.
“Oh, but he’s even more stylish than the models I found.” Linda was embarrassed.
“No way? Are models nowadays really not good enough?” asked Molly.
“It’s mainly because this type is hard to find.” Linda explained.
G&Q had a certain international reputation and was also a luxury women’s brand. Top socialites and celebrities all
erambled to cooperate with them. It was unexpected that they had been stood up this time.
Plus, their standards were high, so finding the right candidate wasn’t easy.
“Let me take a look.” Molly glanced at the man behind her. He caught her gaze and smiled lightly. That smile was as warm as spring, exactly the type she liked. She wondered if he would agree to help her.
She didn’t act on the thought, however, and led Remy to the meeting room, sitting beside him and whispering. “Dr. Walker, you’re about to get an eye full today”
“Hmm? Remy stared at her heavily made–up face, clearly intrigued.
I’m picking male models, you know, the kind that looks like a charming bad boy on TV. My colleague has brought a few over. Could you help me pick out the best one, based on your view as a man?” she asked.
With him as a benchmark, the others seemed rather ordinary.
“Picking male models? The corner of the man’s mouth twitched. This was getting interesting.
He never thought he would get such a job.
“Yes.” Molly didn’t notice his reaction and called toward the door. “Linda, let them in.”
“Okay. A moment later, Linda brought in five male models.
All of them were over six feet, with different looks. Some were too rugged, others too soft. None of them had the vibe she was looking for.
Dr. Walker, do you like any of them?” she asked
The man looked expressionless. “No.”

“Oh, I see.” Molly guessed it might be because there were too many models for him to who understood immediately,
“You guys can take off your shirts,” said Linda.

pick from, so she turned to Linda,
Molly thought there was only one that looked right. “Dr. Walker, what do you think of the one in the middle?”
Tall, handsome, manly, with decent abs.
“Not that great,” he said coldly.
Molly felt a little awkward–compared to him, he really didn’t seem that great, but he was still one of the best in this group.
Remy looked at her. “Why are you picking a male model?”
Molly answered honestly, “I’m holding a fashion show next month, and I need to shoot for a magazine this month. The model I booked last minute canceled, so I had to find a new one, Dr. Walker, I’m going to check him out.”
Molly left the man beside her and walked up to the model.
She left the one in the middle to handle the specifics.
“This is Boren.” Linda introduced.
Hello. Whatever you need, I’ll do it.” The man winked at her flirtatiously, and Molly immediately felt disgusted.
She wanted a refined rogue, not a manipulative guy looking to climb the ladder.
Because of her position, there were many people trying to win her favor, regardless of gender.
“I have a special skill,” he said.
“What skill?” Molly asked.
Boren confidently flexed his chest muscles, a trick that was very popular among old wealthy women.
Molly shot a skeptical look at Linda, silently questioning her judgment in screening applicants.
Linda hung her head, not expecting it to turn out like this.
From Remy’s perspective, they were both staring intently at the male model’s chest, and he was immediately unhappy.
He stormed over. “Dr. Walker, what’s going on?”
Seeing him approach, Molly asked in confusion, not yet realizing the seriousness of the situation.
Remy grabbed her wrist. “I need to talk to you privately.”
“Uh, wait, Linda, we’re done here for today,” said Molly.
“Yes.” Linda quickly understood.
“Dr. Walker, let’s go to my office,” said Molly.
‘Is he really going to make a scene here at work? What is this guy doing? He is hurting my wrist!‘ She complained to herself. When they reached the office, Molly looked at him in confusion Dr. Walker, what’s wrong?”
