Chapter 5
They had been in the shower for an unknown amount of time, and Lia had no energy to figure it out.
Afterward, she tried to get up, but Coby picked her up instead.
“Don’t be shy, we’ll take it slow.” He said, his voice impossibly gentle.
As soon as she was placed on the bed, Lia instinctively grabbed the thin blanket.
Before she could cover herself, his kisses caine rapidly, and her hand gripped the sheets tightly.
She gasped for breath.
“Beep, beep!” The sudden ringing of the phone froze Lia’s body, but Coby didn’t move at all.
The phone rang again, but he remained unmoved.
Lia trembled violently. She had no right to ask him to stop, nor could she.
Coby noticed her reaction and pulled back slightly.
He opened his reddened eyes, glanced at her tightly shut eyes, and lay down beside her. “I’ll give you two minutes to answer the phone.”
-Lia quickly said, “Thank you.”
She got out of bed and checked her phone–it was a call from Olive.
‘It’s so late, is something urgent happening? Lia felt a panic rise in her chest and quickly answered.
“Mom, what’s wrong with Grandma?” Coby lying in bed propped his hand on his forehead and turned to look at her.
Her beautiful back seemed to glow, delicate as a flower.
“Lia, where are you? Your Grandma woke up.” Olive was probing with the phone call.
After all, Lia had said she would find a way, but how could Lia raise that much money?
“Mom, I’ll go see Grandma tomorrow.” When she learned Layla had woken up, the heavy load in Lia’s heart finally lifted.
“Lia, have you raised the money? Actually, I have an idea” Olive thought this was the perfect opportunity, believing Lia would compromise for Layla’s sake.
Lia felt like a burning gaze was fixed on her. She looked back and saw Coby was indeed watching her. ‘Has it been over two
already?‘ she thought.
“Mom, let’s talk about this later. I have to go.” Lia wanted to end the call quickly, not wanting to upset Coby.
“Alright then, go take care of your things. Don’t delay your work. Olive secretly felt pleased, thinking it was going well.
After hanging up. La let out a heavy sigh and turned to walk over
“Sorry, Mr. Ford, for interrupting your mood. Let’s connue.” She obediently crawled to the other side of the bed, lying down flat, her face set in resignation,
Coby couldn’t help but chuckle. “Lia, I’ve never forced anyone. If you don’t want to, you can leave.”

Is he angry? Lia knew she was being drainatic–who else would take the money and then like this?
She turned to face him. “Mr. Ford, I want to”
Lia took his hand and placed it on her chest, her face so red it looked like it might bleed if touched. Coby didn’t expect her to be bolder than he imagined.
“Maybe it will not be perfect the first time, but I hope I can satisfy you.” With that, she kissed him on the lips, more than just a fleeting touch this time.
Coby’s lips curled into a smile as he cupped her head, deepening the kiss.
He was very satisfied.
In the quiet night, the bed rocked gently, and even the moonlight filtering through the curtains seemed shy.
They didn’t fall into a deep sleep until the sky began to lighten.
When Lia woke up, Coby was already gone.
Fragments of memories flashed through her mind, but she instinctively tried not to think about them.
Her whole body ached terribly, and she forced herself to sit up. She couldn’t find her clothes, but even if she found them, she probably wouldn’t be able to wear them.
Lia stared at the ceiling, lost in thought. Am I regretting it?”
No, she didn’t regret it. She got what she wanted.
She thought too much, and didn’t even notice when the door opened.
“Good morning” greeted Coby
At the sound, she turned her head and saw Coby walking in with a tray.
“Mr. Ford… Her voice was hoarse, her throat hurting badly.
Coby raised an eyebrow, noticing how awkward the title sounded
“Have some food.” His tone was still as indifferent as always, as if the passionate man from last night wasn’t him.
Coby placed the tray on the bedside table, which held a bowl of patmeal and some side dishes.
“Thank you.” Lia was surprised he brought it to her. She should’ve gotten up earlier.
She reached out her foot but quickly pulled it back. “Mr. Ford, could I borrow a piece of clothing
Her delicate foot was quite cute, but she quickly hid it away.
Coby said slowly, “I don’t have any women’s clothes at my place
Lia bit her lip, knowing she shouldn’t have made such a request. Sorry,” she said.
After a moment, Coby said, “Wear mine.”
Coby walked over to the wardrobe and picked out a shirt. “Make do with this.”

“Okay, thank you,” said bin,
“The white shirt’s sort of transparent, but it’s better than nothing Lia thought, smiling as she took it.
As she dressed, Coby stood nearby, showing no intention of leasing.
Although Lia didn’t look at him, she felt his burning gaze. She struggled to put it on, and as soon as her feet hit the ground. her body went limp.
She felt weak and awkward–she had overestimated herself.
As she struggled to rise, a pair of large hands slipped under her knees and around her waist, lifting her up
She curled up in his arms like a kitten, wanting to ravage her.
Lia wasn’t short–she was 3 feet 5 inches–but Coby was so tall, taking her seem smaller in comparison.
“Thank you.” She didn’t understand why it hurt so much whenever she moved.
Coby asked, concerned, Are you feeling unwell?”
“No.” She was too embarrassed to admit ir.
Although her friend Cora had once said sex was supposed to be pleasurable experience, Lia felt like it was painful.
Her whole body ached.
“They say a woman’s first time is painful,” he said, clearing his throat.
Lia blushed and didn’t respond.
Seeing her with her head lowered, Coby changed the subject. “Go wash up first.”
Lia nodded. “Okay”
Coby placed her in the bathroom but didn’t leave, instead, he quietly watched her.
Lia was afraid to make eye contact with him. He always had this enigmatic look, and no one knew what he was thinking.
“The toothpaste hasn’t been opened yet, he reminded her.
She didn’t even know what she was thinking. She just kept squeezing the unopened toothpaste.
“Oh.” Lia was embarrassed, having squeezed the toothpaste for a long time but nothing came out. It was sealed at the top and hadn’t been opened.
As he was watching her, she felt a bit flustered.
Lia opened the toothpaste and suddenly thought of him. “Mr. Ford, have you washed up
“No,” replied Coby.
“Then… here you go: Lia handed him the toothbrush with the toothpaste already applied. It was a new toothbrush
She wasn’t sure which toothbrush was his, but instincnvely gave new one to him. She quickly realized her mistake and hurriedly pulled it back.
Coby said, “It’s fine. It’s about time I changed mine anyway.”

At this. Lia awkwardly franded it over again and made space for him.
The comer of Caby’s eye twitched as he took the toothbrush from her hand.
“Are you always this kind to everyone? The thought of her being so kind to everyone made him feel uncomfortable.
Lia smiled faintly. “Only when there’s something to gain.”
He leaned closer, as if trying to see through her. “Gaining money from me, or gaining me?”
She froze for a moment, then quickly responded, “Stop joking, Mr. Ford,”
Coby’s expression became serious. “Money, I can give. As for me myself, I can give too. Ms. Phillips, you’re smart enough to
know what I mean.”
His words made Lia’s heart skip a beat. I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I don’t understand.”
Coby said. “No worries. Take your time to think about it.”
Take my time to think? What am I supposed to think about? Could he still want… Lia was surprised at such thoughts.
Coby could have any woman he wants; why would he care about someone like me?‘ she was confused.
After washing up and eating, Lia said goodbye. Staying any longer would only make things more awkward.
“Thank you for your hospitality,” she said.
“You haven’t received the money yet; are you not worried I won’t give it to you?” Coby sat on the couch, lazily watching Lia, who was standing obediently.
His shirt was a bit big on her, the hem falling just above her thighs, exposing her long, fair legs–an undeniable allure that was hard to ignore.
Lia said, “I believe you won’t go back on your word.”
Coby’s reputation was always excellent, and that was one of the reasons Lia sought him out.
“T’ll take that as a compliment. Clearly, Coby was in a good mood.
He placed the check on the table. “Take a look.”
“Thank you, Mr. Ford” She picked up the check and saw the amount on it, and for a moment, she thought she had read it
wrong
“Mr. Ford, we agreed on 2 million, but this is 3 million.” Although she would gladly accept more, if it was just a mistake, she felt she should point it out.
“Ms. Phillips, it’s your first time, so the worth of it should be for me to decide. He had purposely given her that much.
With that realization, Lia quietly put the check in her bag. “Thank you, Mr. Ford. Perhaps we’ll meet again.”
“Ms. Phillips, so you just want to leave like this?” asked Coby.
Lia looked at her clothes; she hadn’t even worn any undergarments.
Coby said, “Wait until the clothes arrive, then you can leave.”
Chapter 5
“Thank you,” said Lia.
Coby said. “Go lie down on the bed.”
Lia looked at him in surprise.
Coby explained. “I’m not an animal. If you’re sick, you need to rest more.”
‘He noticed that I’m sick? Lia thought, since she had to wait for the clothes anyway, she might as well lie down. She really didn’t feel well, maybe a nap would help.
“Okay,” Lia had barely gotten into bed when he returned and wrapped his arm around her.
“Mr. Ford.” She stiffened, not daring to move.
“I didn’t sleep well last night. Stay with me and sleep for a bit.” He closed his eyes, inhaling the fragrance of her.
“But…” said Lia
