Lia had sent many roses for Issac, but he didn’t know she was allergic to them. As soon as she touched them, red rashes would appear on her skin.
It’s laughable when someone who never cared about you suddenly does.
Lia had just returned to the secretary’s office when Phoebe hurried over. “Lia, Mr. Ford is looking for you.”
“The meeting’s over?” asked Lia.
“Yes, from what Owen said, it seems urgent,” Phoebe said.
“I’ll go over right now.” Lia went back to her office to grab the invitation, thinking that he must have found out about this by
- ow.
At the General Manager’s office, Lia knocked lightly on the door, and upon getting a response, she entered.
“Mr. Ford, is there something you need from me?” she asked.
“Close the door.” The man looked up, no longer smiling, his expression now serious.
“Alright.” Lia obediently closed the door, wondering if he was jealous.
Coby put down the pen in his hand and walked toward her with steady steps.
“Mr. Ford, please…” Lia didn’t finish her sentence before the man wrapped his arm around her waist and led her to sit at the desk, leaning down to look at the collar of her shirt.
“Did you touch it, Lia?” he asked.
“What?” Lia didn’t understand what he meant until Coby began unbuttoning her shirt. Then she realized.
“Mr. Ford.” Her face turned red. ‘Gosh! Does he not realize we’re in the office?‘
“Coby, wait.” Lia nervously grabbed his hand.
“Be good, I just want to check.” He insisted.
“Uh…” Lia placed her hand on the edge of the desk, awkwardly turning her face away. How did he know about her rose allergy?
Coby saw the small red rashes on her fair skin and his eyes flickered. “This is a failure of the front desk and security.”
“No.” Lia quickly defended.
“The outsiders were loitering in front of the Ford Group, and security didn’t handle it immediately. That’s a failure of their duty. More importantly, you knew you were allergic to roses, yet you still touched them.” His voice sounded angry.
“I just wanted him to leave quickly. I’ll talk to them about it, and it won’t happen again. It’s my fault.” Lia took the responsibility upon herself.
“You fool, what I care about is your allergy.” He was deeply concerned.
Although Lia had been scolded, she felt happy inside.
“Coby, I’m fine. It’ll be better in a few days.” She held his hand.
Coby reminded her sternly. “You deserve this. You knew you were allergic, yet you still touched it.”

Smack!
Coby slapped her palm. He thought he had hit too hard, so he gently blew on it. “Does it hurt?”
“No.” Lia shook her head. “Coby, are you done being angry?”
“No.” The man’s face remained stern.

Lia wrapped her arms around his neck, lightly touching her lips to his in a coquettish manner. “Please don’t be mad, okay?”
She had no idea how cute her coquettish act was. He just wanted to grab her and have his way with her.
Let’s go to the hospital,” he said.
“I can go on my own, you’re busy… Mm…” Lia couldn’t even finish her sentence.
He was finally satisfied with the kiss and slowly buttoned her clothes.
Lia was trapped in his embrace, unable to escape.
“If you don’t let me go with you, I’ll hold the front desk and security accountable for their incompetence.” He threaten deliberately.
“That’s unfair!” Lia thought he would separate personal and professional matters, but apparently not.
“Well. Your choice,” he said it as if it was perfectly natural.

After going to the hospital to get some medicine, he forcefully took her back home.
“I’ll be fine after taking the medicine. No need for rest,” Lia said. A boss asking an employee to skip work is ridiculous.
Coby pointed to the medicine on the table, looking serious. “There’s an ointment you need to apply. It’s not convenient to do it at the office.”
So, the man volunteered to help her apply the ointment.
Lia had rashes all over–on her chest, back, and thighs–but strangely, her face didn’t have any red spots.
She sat on his lap, facing him.
He was meticulous, not missing any small red bumps.
“Coby.” Lia felt both shy and warmed by his attention.
“Does it hurt?” He asked knowingly, looking innocent.
“I can do this myself, I can see it,” said Lia.
“Be good, let me do it.” He smiled lightly, his voice impossibly soft.
Her pale skin flushed red.
The cotton swab came to the “spot.” his eyes glinting with an unreadable expression.
“Lia, this place can only have marks from me, understand?” He leaned in.
