Chapter 64
At Allen family villa, a servant whispered in Luna’s car. “Madam Frances says she has something important to discuss with you.”
“She’s looking for me?” Luna’s expression shifted subtly as she clipped the flowers she was holding, “Let her in. I want to see what she has to say.”
“Yes, Madam,” said the servant.
Frances returned to the Allen family, feeling both excited and anxious. This time, she wasn’t a servant, but carrying the Allen family’s heir. She was much more important than these servants
“Madam, hello,” Frances said with a fou
pression.
Luna’s eyes flashed with disdain. This shameless woman dared to come find her. She was foolish and unaware of her place.
“What do you want?” Luna continued arranging the flowers, her voice neither warm nor cold.
“Madam.” Frances suddenly dropped to the floor, crying.
Luna stopped what she was doing and coldly looked at the woman on the floor. “What is this?”
Trying tricks in front of her–how foolish!
Frances sobbed, looking as pitiful as she could, “I’m pregnant with Issac’s child.”
Everyone around gasped.
“Say that again,” Luna screamed.
Luna’s expression didn’t change, as if such news was nothing new.
She knew exactly what kind of person her son was. Over the years, many women had tried to use him to climb the social ladder, but none of them got their way.
Frances took out the ultrasound report, feeling confident. The baby in her belly was his. She could even do a paternity test. She couldn’t let such a good opportunity slip away.
“Madam, this is the ultrasound report. I’m two months pregnant. That night, we didn’t use protection,” she said.
After that night, she only thought about hiding, forgetting to take the pill.
Luna took the ultrasound report with a blank expression, glanced at it briefly, then ripped it into pieces.
“Issac has so many women. If every one of them comes knocking, wouldn’t I have a house full of grandchildren? Have security throw this shameless woman out.” Luna slowly massaged her temples, trying to control her temper.
“Yes, Madam.” A servant came and immediately called security, and they surrounded Frances.
“No, Mrs. Allen, really, the child in my womb is Issac’s! I swear!” Frances frantically raised her hand and swore to the heavens.
Luna didn’t even glance at her. “You worthless woman, you think you’re worthy of carrying the Allen family’s heir? Stop dreaming.”
“Madam, it really is Issac’s child, please, I beg you.” Frances fell to the ground, pleading desperately.

She thought Mrs. Allen would be easy to talk to, but she never expected she wouldn’t even give her a chance to prove herself.
Luna turned a deaf ear and waved her hand at security.
Frances couldn’t resist the strength of the men and was dragged away without mercy.
“It’s really Issac’s, Mrs. Allen, Madam…” Frances’s heart–wrenching cries went unheard.
She collapsed on the ground, her belly aching slightly, but she didn’t want to leave like this.
Why wouldn’t they believe her? It was clearly his child. Why?
In the garden, Luna sat solemnly in a chair.
“Madam, the young master’s call has gone through.” A servant handed her the phone.
“What is it? I’m busy,” said Issac.
“Son, where are you?” Luna asked.
“At work.” Issac waved his hand, signaling the men to leave.
Hearing he was working, Luna felt relieved, her expression softening slightly.
“You used protection with Frances, right?” she asked.
“Why are you suddenly asking about this?” Issac hated hearing her mention that name.
“Just asking. Don’t let those shady women end up pregnant.” Luna brushed it off lightly.
“I know. I’m hanging up.”
Luna didn’t get the answer she wanted and turned to the woman beside her. “Daisy, what did those people say?”
“Madam, they said they took the money and did their job,” the servant replied.
“Did their job? Then why did this pregnancy rumor even come out?” she asked.
Daisy didn’t know how to answer that.
Luna figured that Frances wouldn’t dare fake a pregnancy to fool her. If the child in her womb really was Issac’s, that woman certainly wasn’t fit to be the mother of her grandchild.
“Send someone to keep an eye on this woman’s movements.” Luna wanted to take strong action, but considering her son’s rebellious nature, she decided to hold off for now.
Figuring out whether that woman was carrying the Allen family’s bloodline would be easy enough.
Lia and the others arrived at an Italian restaurant.
Coby got out of the car first and moved to the side of Lia’s door. When she opened it, he reached out his hand.
Lia looked at his hand and hesitated. “Everyone’s watching.”
Phoebe and Millie were in Owen’s car and arrived first, just in time to see this scene.
The man smiled lightly, “Let them see how couples interact.”

Lia chuckled. “I’ve never seen someone so shameless.” She placed her hand in his.
Coby nodded approvingly. “Lia, only now you know? I thought you already realized when I asked you for a cond…”
His hand was firmly squeezed, and he swallowed the rest of his words.
Lia’s face turned bright red.
Coby leaned closer to her ear. “Lia, let’s talk more when we’re alone.”
As expected, someone’s hand was squeezed again, but it had no effect on him.

The three eavesdropping people didn’t hear the end, and they were left wanting more. Phoebe couldn’t help but ask. “What did Mr. Ford ask Lia for? Owen, do you know?”
“How would I know?” Owen shrugged. “I’m not the boss.”
“Owen, did you know Mr. Ford was pursuing Lia?” Phoebe wanted to know if she and Millie were the only ones too oblivious to notice it, even after spending so much time together.
“Phoebe, don’t you think you’re asking too much?”
It was really hard for him to keep such a big secret. On top of that, he had to watch them show off every day!
“I’m just curious,” Phoebe said innocently.
“Curiosity kills the cat,” said Owen.
Owen was really getting tired of this. ‘Why does she have a million questions?‘
“Alright, stop talking. Let’s hurry inside. Mr. Ford and Lia have already gone in.” Millie finally spoke up.
“Let’s go, let’s go,” said Owen.
The meal was quiet, no one said much.
Phoebe, Millie, and Owen watched in surprise as Mr. Ford was so considerate, serving food, pouring drinks, and even personally peeling shrimp for Lia.
‘Is this really the Mr. Ford we know?‘ they wondered.
After the meal, they came outside.
“Mr. Ford, Lia, thank you for treating us. Millie and I are heading back since we’re going the same way.” Phoebe and Millie had already planned to leave quickly, not wanting to disturb them.
“Wait, I’ll drive you. Mr. Ford, Lia, bye.” Owen followed them.
“Bye,” said Lia.
Lia and Coby exchanged a look and both smiled.
“Why are you two leaving me behind?” He didn’t want to be a third wheel either.
“Owen, didn’t you say you weren’t going the same way as us?” asked Phoebe.
Last time, he drove them home but took a huge detour, and Phoebe and Millie didn’t want to trouble him again.
“I like driving!” Owen said.

Phoebe and Millie smiled akwardly.
“Besides, how can I let you two girls go home alone at night? What kind of person do you think I am?” said Owen.
“Thank you, Owen.” Phoebe flattered him. “You’re so kind.”
“Was my image that bad? Now you’re realizing how good I am?” Owen thought he was popular, but he was mistaken.
Phoebe and Millie kept quiet to avoid saying anything more.
In the car, Lia leaned on his shoulder, playing with his big hand. “Owen and Phoebe seem to argue a lot.”
“Really?” He hadn’t noticed.
“I think so. I often see them bickering,” said Lia.
“Owen keeps whining about being single in front of me every day,” said Coby.
Lia smiled at him. “Is being alone so bad?”
Coby gently kissed her lips and pulled her into his arms.
“It is. I won’t be able to fall asleep without you in my arms,” said Coby.
Lia rested in his embrace, listening to his sweet words, feeling happy inside.
She was already so used to him.
Every time she opened her eyes, seeing him made her happy.
At that moment, Lynn suddenly reported. “Sir, there’s a car following us.”
“Coby.” Lia looked back, and sure enough, a car was tailing them
Coby remained calm. “Shake them off.”
“Yes, sir,” said Lynn.
The car sped off quickly.
Coby held Lia close, whispering soothingly. “Don’t worry, everything’s fine. No matter what happens, I’m here.”
“I’m not scared,” said Lia.
As long as he was with her, she felt safe.
But the other car kept following them relentlessly, even trying to ram into theirs. It was clear they were after them.
Lynn had gone through a rigorous selection process to become Coby’s personal driver, and his driving skills were unquestionable.
With the cars closely pursuing from behind, he successfully shook them off at a few turns and took a detour back to the Skyview Villa. Pat.
Although they had escaped, this incident couldn’t be ignored.
The other party knew their schedule. That car had intentionally run the red light to crash them–this wasn’t just simple following.

“Don’t worry, I’ll investigate, but I don’t know if it’s targeting, you or me, just be careful when going out in the fuser Coby’s face showed no emotion.
“Mm” Lia nodded.
For some reason, Lia had a bad feeling. She hoped it was just her overthinking
“Coby, be careful,” she said.
He smiled and gently patted her head. “I know. I’ll go to the study to handle some things first”
“Okay.” Lia nodded.
When Coby came out, his expression turned serious, and he quickly made a call.
“Find out whose car it is, and do it quickly,” he said.
Many didn’t know that the Ford family operated in both the legitimate and underground worlds, and Bruce was never just a bodyguard when he was young.
The Ford family’s enemies were many, but those people didn’t have the guts.
“Yes, Mr. Ford.”
“How’s the investigation going on that matter?” Coby asked.
“Mr. Ford, the Howard family is definitely looking for someone, but not just one person.”
“Not just one person?” He frowned.
“Reliable sources say Edward’s gone missing.”
Edward had come back to the country to handle the K&H domestic affairs, but the person who was supposed to show up hadn’t been seen for months. Even if he was low–key, he couldn’t have disappeared without a trace, not even going to the office.
The Howard family was secretly looking for Edward, so something must have happened. Who else was the Howard family looking for?
“Keep investigating. Also, secretly send someone to protect Old Mrs. Phillips. Coby ordered.
“Yes, Mr. Ford.”
In the room, Lia was on the phone with Cora.
“Lia, I’m sorry. I couldn’t make it today.” Cora felt guilty.
“It’s fine, Cora. Next time.” Lia was understanding.
“That man is so annoying. He wants to meddle in everything.” Cora could only complain.
“Cora, what does he look like? Do you want to send me a photo? I’ll have Coby keep an eye out,” said Lia.
Lia didn’t want her best friend to be bothered any longer. It was obvious the man was a real troublemaker.
“A photo? Ah, Lia, you’ve reminded me. I’ll go take one right now. Cora hurriedly ran to take a photo. Last time, she missed the chance to take a photo of that bracelet, but this time she’d secretly take a photo of him, hoping she wouldn’t get caught.

She slowly walked into the living room, where the man was sitting on the sofa, reading.
It was such an odd sight, and maybe it was because she watched too many dramas, but he seemed out of place–who just sits and reads all the time?
“Is something wrong?” The man didn’t even lift his eyelids, his voice low and seductive.
“Nothing, just having some water.” He didn’t even look up, how could she take a photo?
Cora observed while drinking, only to see the man elegantly stand up and walk towards her.
Why is he coming this way‘ Cora quickly finished the water in her cup.
The man trapped her between himself and the table, his deep, affectionate eyes slightly raised.
“I’m going back to my room.” Cora tried to sidestep, but he wouldn’t let her.
He coldly said, “Tonight, sleep with me.”
“Are you crazy? I need to make a call.” Cora slapped his hand away and angrily returned to her room, completely forgetting about taking the photo.
She angrily sat on the edge of the bed. This man was too much. She looked at her phone and saw her best friend hadn’t hung up. She continued to vent. “Lia, I’ve never met such an infuriating man.”
“Cora, I think you should move out quickly. Even if you’re responsible for the car incident, you can’t live with him. From what you’ve described, he doesn’t seem like a good person,” said Lia.
Lia was planning to visit that man sometime to check things out. If he really wasn’t any good, she couldn’t let her friend suffer any longer.
“Actually, it’s usually fine. It’s just that sometimes, he really knows how to piss someone off,” said Cora.
As if on cue, the man swaggered into the room, and Cora shot him a fiery glare.
“Lia, I have to go. Let’s talk tomorrow.” Cora quickly hung up the phone and glared at him. “Who told you to come in? Get
out.
Instead of leaving, he walked up to her. “Who gave you permission to cozy up to other men?”
“I was just talking to my friend. What the hell are you talking about?” Cora complained.
“I just won’t allow it,” said the man.
“What does it have to do with you, I…” Cora widened her eyes, staring at the man who was so close. He actually…
Meanwhile, on the other side, Lia finished the call and realized she had forgotten to ask about the photo. She quickly sent another message.
When Coby returned to the room, he saw Lia looking at her phone. “Lia, who are you texting?”
“Cora. She didn’t come tonight, so she called to apologize. We’ll reschedule for next time,” Lia replied.
“Alright.” He quietly waited for her to finish her message before gently turning her body toward him, his eyes burning as he stared at her. “Owen told me something.”
“Hmm? What is it?” She asked, confused.
“He said I haven’t been trying hard enough, which is why you haven’t gotten pregnant,” he said.
