Quinn was looking at the photos. They were taken the previous night on Laura’s terrace. However, those photos were cleverly captured to only show her with Harlan, conveniently omitting Laura’s presence.
Among them, a particular photo stood out. It showed Harlan leaning on her shoulder, and she, in turn, held him around his waist.

Laura glared at Jacinda, her eyes blazing with fury. She was just about to charge over and give her a good beating, but Harlan, who was standing nearby, stopped her.
“A toy boy, huh? That’s a first. Never heard someone describe me like that before,” sneered Harlan, his anger turning into laughter. His piercing, narrow eyes, as dark as the night, stared at Jacinda as if she were nothing more than an object.

“Slander can be punishable by up to three years in prison,” Harlan said with a cold laugh. “The person who came to pick me up yesterday was my uncle, Mr. Yannick Xiberras. He can vouch that Laura was there as well. Are you suggesting that Mr. Xiberras would also lie?”
