Chapter 49
Reid, with unwavering confidence, shoved all the clothes into her arms and urged, “Hurry up and get changed. We need to recharge before we get time for the gifts.”
Yvonne rolled her eyes at him and pulled him to the window, pointing at the bright, blazing sun outside. “Come on, take a good look–it’s broad daylight.”
Reid just chuckled nonchalantly. “So what if it’s daytime? Love doesn’t stop because of the sunlight, nor does it vanish in the darkness. As long as we’re willing, anytime can be a moment to express love.”
With that, he pressed a switch, and the curtains on either side of the window slowly closed, softening the light in the room. Gradually, darkness swept in like a wave, completely blocking out the glaring sunlight outside.
In the dimness, Reid’s presence became even more palpable. He gently moved closer to Yvonne, wrapped his arms around her waist, and held her tight. His warm breath whispered in her ear, “Go change, okay?”
Yvonne couldn’t resist him and eventually changed into the clothes he had prepared.
Reid turned on a bed lamp, casting a soft pink glow. As he watched her graceful figure approaching, his heart surged with emotion, his eyes filled with love.
Yvonne slowly walked toward him, the pink light playing on her face, making her already beautiful features even more captivating.
Reid handed her a whip. “Didn’t you say you wanted to give me a good beating that night? Here, go on, hit me.”
Yvonne just took it and gave him a few real lashes.
Reid winced a few times, pretending to be in pain. “Really? You actually did it.”
“That’s not the way you talk to the queen,” Yvonne teased playfully.
Reid was at a loss for words, realizing he had brought this upon himself.
Rain started to fall outside, the drops tapping gently on the window, adding to the room’s intimate atmosphere.
Rainwater trickled slowly down the glass like a winding stream, blurring the world outside. A slender hand gently pressed against the rain–speckled window, the trails of water forming a pattern that complemented her hand’s reflection.
The night soon cast a soft veil over the window ledge, and the starry sky reflected in their eyes.
Reid held Yvonne’s hand as they climbed the hill, where a grand platform awaited them. It was vast and covered in lush green grass, with several floral
arches standing tall.
Vines cascaded from the edges of the platform like green waterfalls, dotted with twinkling lights that shimmered like stars.
Crystal lamps adorned the platform, their clear shades refracting the light into soft, dreamy glows that cast a magical veil over the scene. In the center stood several tall pedestals, each topped with a crystal box.
“What are you up to?” Yvonne asked, turning to Reid beside her.
Reid’s lips curled into a mysterious smile, but he didn’t answer right away. Instead, he gently lifted Yvonne’s wrist and gave it a playful shake.
The sound of jingling keys filled the air. It was a bracelet he’d placed on her wrist earlier in bed, adorned with delicate keys.
“The keys are yours–a gift. Go see what they unlock,” he said, his voice low and teasing.

Wonne’s eyes widened in surprise. He had mentioned a gift, but she thought it was just a joke. She walked toward the pedestals, her curiosity piqued. As she approached the nearest crystal box, the colorful light refracted through the crystal, creating a dreamlike, fantastical glow.
