She picked up a key and inserted it into the lock of the nearest box. With a click, the box slowly opened to reveal a property deed. It was the deed to the Yvonne Manor, a house worth millions.
Wonne turned to Reid, who stood under one of the arches, bathed in starlight that sparkled like fine diamonds on his shoulders and hair, making him look even more dazzling.
His features were aristocratic and elegant, like a statue carved from moonlight, exuding an air of aloof sophistication.
He raised an eyebrow and nodded forward, urging her to continue. Yvonne stepped up to the second box and opened it to find a set of sports car keys.
She moved on to the third and fourth boxes, each revealing more and more valuable items–exquisite jewelry that sparkled in the soft light. Finally, she opened the last box to find a share transfer agreement.
Reid stepped closer, his voice serious. “Steven has been buying up minority shares. His stake is now more than yours, at 35%, which gives him veto power.”
“I knew you wouldn’t be happy about that, so I bought some shares too. With yours, we now hold 36%. If I can persuade a few more shareholders, it won’t be hard to remove him as CEO.”
Yvonne chuckled softly. “If we fire him, who’s going to work for me?”
She then looked at the pile of gifts, her heart swelling with a mix of emotions. These gifts were worth nearly 100 million. She couldn’t help but ask, “Why are you giving me all this?”
Reid’s eyes softened as he looked at her. He replied, his voice filled with deep emotion, “Whether you love me or not, you’re mine. You deserve everything other women have–and so much more.”
He stepped closer to her, gently picked up a blue diamond necklace, and softly draped it around her neck. The blue diamond sparkled enchantingly against her skin, like the brightest star in the night sky.
“If it weren’t for the complications with my company’s stocks, I’d give you half my shares,” he said.
Yvonne tilted her head back slightly, feeling the cool touch of the necklace against her skin. A smile played on her lips. “This feels like I’m being kept,” she
said.
“Then I’ll give you all my assets, and you can keep me,” he replied with a smile.
Yvonne glanced at him sideways. “Me? Keep a powerful prince?”
“Prince? I’d rather be your loyal subject,” he said with a chuckle.
As he finished speaking, the sky suddenly burst into vibrant fireworks. The dazzling light illuminated the entire night, painting a magnificent scene across the darkness.
Yvonne was momentarily frozen, captivated by the sudden beauty. She turned to see the fireworks exploding like giant, blooming flowers, turning the night into day.
Then, several beams of light shot up into the sky, spelling out the words: Yvonne, may your life be filled with joy and peace.
The display was so grand that nearly half the city stopped to gaze up at the dazzling sky. Children cheered excitedly, pointing and shouting, “It’s so beautiful!” Adults, too, were moved by the unexpected romance, their eyes filled with wonder and envy.
Wesley and his crew had just finished a free clinic session and were taking a taxi home from the airport. As they drove, fireworks lit up the car windows. He turned and saw the sparkling message outside.
The taxi driver commented, “Oh, another rich kid showing off. These young folks really know how to party.”
Wesley looked at the words, feeling a strange silence. Somehow, he just knew that the “Yvonne” in the massage was the Yvonne he knew–she was here as well.
