Chapter 14
Alpha Luther’s POV.
I happily strolled through the
corridors of my mansion.
The intoxicating smell of my mating with Marina lingered still in the air around me.
The fact that I had to tiptoe back to my room made this more of an extra thrill to the experience.
It heightened the
of satisfaction that coursed through my veins. I was happy and it showed in my steps.
As I entered another of my private Jocked the door and leaned on it for some seconds.

Marina proved to be a useful omega tonight. She had fulfilled my every desire, and the connection

I moved beyond the physical.
My wolf, who had always been lurking beneath the surface, purred in contentment, he had sensed a bond that mirrored the ancient ties of mates.
He, too, was excited but I stopped him.
I had to put him under control.
I knew better than to let my wolf have its way. The mating bond was sacred, a connection that could not be taken lightly.
I wouldn’t let my animal side guide me beyond what I wanted.
I had enough stress from the pack and needed a distraction, not a mate and Marina was a delightful diversion.
She was the sweet escape I had been searching for to spice up my life and I liked that she was there. It was a pity that she could never be my true
mate.
As I entered my innermost bedroom, Closing the door behind me, I peeled off my clothes and climbed into bed.
The softness of the sheets reminded me of being in between her legs. I snapped out of it. It was a contrast to the raw passion I shared with Marina.
My body hummed with satisfaction as I settled beneath the covers, welcoming the embrace of sleep.
“Thank the moon goddess,” I hummed too.
My wolf, however, was not easily accepting of what I had decided as he whispered the opposite.
“Accept her.”
It restlessly wrestled within my mind, the excitement of a potential mate was important to it.
I sighed and immediately focused, exerting my alpha control, a firm mental leash preventing my wolf from pursuing Marina further.
The internal struggle between him and I was a constant dance, and I knew the steps well. I had been down this path before.
Finally, I won.
I woke up to the morning sun rays penetrating my blinds.
The afterglow of my night with Marina lingered in my mind.
It was a subtle reminder of the pleasures I enjoyed myself with, last night.
The time was a little late so I rose from my bed, feeling invigorated and ready
face the challenges that awaited me.
I had work to do.
And then, Marina to see again.
The packhouse buzzed with activity as I prepared for my day. I had earlier moved from my home to the pack house without seeing Marina. Her maid said she was still asleep.

“Tell her I would like to see her by nightfall“. I remembered saying before I left.
The attendants moved swiftly and they dressed me in regal attire befitting an alpha.
The tailor standing before me handed me a mirror and I could see my reflection, a satisfied smile sat on my face.
I looked powerful, an embodiment of everything dominant.
My eyes held a glint of contentment, a secret knowledge that added an enigmatic edge to my demeanor.
“You’ve done well,” I said as I tapped him on his shoulder and tipped him.
As I made my way to the pack’s communal dining area, my fellow pack members could see the radiant aura that surrounded me.
I heard whispers that followed in my direction, everyone was wondering about the source of my newfound happiness.
My friend, Sean, was the first to approach, curiosity etched on his face.
“Luther, what’s got you in such high spirits?” Sean inquired, falling into step beside me.
My grin widened, and I found myself chuckling, a low, deep sound that should have mirrored the pleasures of the night before. “Just a blessed evening, my friend. Sometimes, one finds joy in unexpected places.”
Sean raised an eyebrow, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Do tell. Spill the details. The whole pack is buzzing with curiosity. I want to hear this gist”
My laughter echoed through the halls as he shook his head. “Some secrets are best kept, Sean. Let’s just say I conquered a challenge I’d been eyeing for a while.”
Sean’s eyes widened with realization, a smirk playing on his lips. “Ah, I’m sure you mean Marina. You finally took the plunge, didn’t you?”
I nodded, my expression unapologetic. “She’s everything I imagined, and more. But you know the rules, my friend. A mate is a mate, and I can’t let myself be led astray.”
Sean clapped me on the back, his laughter joining mine. “Well, you certainly seem to have a spring in your step. Here’s to conquests and the mysteries of the heart!”
As I went about my duties as alpha, the packhouse continued to buzz with the news of my mysterious conquest.
Everyone seemed to notice that I was in a good mood.
The air was filled with excitement, and I could smell it.
It was a blessed day for me. I had not one moment of anger in it and I was glad.
I got home quite early and was told Marina was still sleeping.
I didn’t mind.
I rushed to eat, sleep and lay my head for a bit in preparation for the night. It was going to be this night, the night after, and many more nights to
come.
“Is she still asleep?” I questioned Bree, her maid.
Bree nodded.
I couldn’t understand it.
For more than six hours now? Not possible.
I rose from my chair and dashed into her room.
I found her deep asleep, looking as innocent as a pure maiden that had just been given to me for the first time.
I wanted to rampage her again.
I thought of using my manhood to wake her up.
It was a good idea.
“I will do it,” I said to myself in a whisper and then walked over to her.
I pulled my shorts down and slipped my manhood in when I noticed she was already wet.

I pulled it out, only to be welcomed by the scent of blood.
My heart froze.
Did I just mate with her?
