“Just wait. I’ll have these electronic versions ready within an hour Alyssa said, returning to her desk.
Sarah sneered, “If these documents aren’t sent to everyone with an hour, you might as well quit.”
A soft chuckle escaped Alyssa as she replied, “Alright, but what i do manage to send them out? What will you do, Sarah? Quit?”
Sarah instantly flared up upon hearing this. “Alyssa, as a newcomer, who gives you the right to let me quit?”
“I’d like to ask you the same question,” Alyssa said coolly.
“That’s because you’re not doing your job well,” Sarah retorted.
“But if I distribute it to everyone, would that mean you are underqualified for the job? The chief secretary did say that those empty vases won’t be able to stay,” Alyssa countered.
Sarah opened her mouth but found herself unable to refute.
“Hmph, don’t get too smug. I’d like to see how you’ll manage to finish it all within an hour.” She humphed coldly and sat back down in her seat.
Alyssa transferred the photos she had snapped on her phone one by one to her computer, then converted them to PDF. Meanwhile, she downloaded a conversion software, transforming the PDF files into Word format at an astonishing speed- almost a matter of seconds per image.
In just around half an hour, she had completed the conversion of all the photos. She then adjusted the format, edited the header and footer of the document, and inserted page numbers. Finally, she packaged the file and sent it to every member of the company via the OA system. Even Simon and Andrew received it.
Sarah saw a file in her OA system and opened it to find it was the very one she had assigned Alyssa to photocopy. She hadn’t expected that Alyssa would really accomplish it, even in less than an hour. Not only did Alyssa complete it but she formatted it so well.
Sarah stared blankly at the file, her hand gripping the mouse tightly.
Alyssa walked over, smiling. “Ms, I’ve sent it out to everyone.”
Sarah exhaled a deep breath. “So what, sending a file isn’t a big deal.”
“Just sending a file?” Alyssa asked coolly.
Sarah gritted her teeth, ready to retort at Alyssa. But seeing Simon standing nearby, she softened her voice slightly. “Ms. Dawson, sending files is part of what we secretaries are supposed to do. There’s no need to seek credit for it.”
Upon hearing her, Alyssa raised an eyebrow, wondering why the woman could change her face so quickly.
If it were before, she might not have understood what was going on, but having been confronting Hailey for a long time, she had already grasped the routines of an angelic bitch. Such sudden changes usually indicated the presence of someone they
cared about or feared.
As she expected, she turned around and saw Simon approaching, a smirk escaping her lips.
As Simon came over, Sarah seemed anxious as if fearing that Alyssa might tattle at Simon. “Mr. Hunt, Ms. Dawson must be eager to show some achievements to you. She just sent a document and came to claim credit. What kind of pressure have you put on her?”

Simon glanced at Alyssa, waiting for her to complain. To his surprise, Alyssa said nothing but just smiled and turned back to her seat, which caught Simon off guard for a moment.
He had already figured out what had happened and was prepared to stand up for Alyssa as long as she could speak up. He was ready to lend her a hand, but it seemed Alyssa was quite proud and refusing to tattle.
