Chapter 93
Hearing Everett, Cathy couldn’t help but smirk. “Mr. Coleman, did you hear that? The design drafts were damaged after Mr. Sanders handed it over. Aside from Ms. Dawson, no one else had ever touched it”
Everett recalled something and explained, “Well, I passed the drafts to my assistant, Tamera, since several designers hadn’t submitted their manuscripts. I asked her to sort the documents and passed them to Ms. Dawson. I have no idea how it ended up like this.”
Hearing Everett’s explanation, Andrew said, “Then call Tamera to come here at once!”
“Got it,” Everett affirmed, quickly dialing Tamera to come over.
When Tamera got the call, she was excited. Being called to meet the CEO was a big deal to her. ‘Could it be that my performance had finally caught his eye? Is he going to give me a promotion and a raise? Or maybe, Mr. Coleman has taken a fancy to me? He has never even given Ms. Carlson a second glance. Is it because she’s not his type? Maybe I’m his type!
Tamera could not stop wondering. After all, she often read romantic novels and had always been a hopeless romantic. Therefore, she became so excited.
Before heading up, Tamera tidied herself up, fixed her makeup, and swapped her subtle lipstick for a bolder shade. Feeling more fabulous than ever, she eagerly headed to the 37th floor.
When she reached the 37th floor, she stared at Sarah sharply. ‘I’ll put her to shame once I’m with Mr. Coleman. She’s been nothing but a drag! Tamera thought.
Noticing Tamera’s smug face, Sarah couldn’t help but roll her eyes annoyedly.
Tamera knocked on Andrew’s glass door softly and Everett hurriedly opened it. Once Tamera was in, her voice was bubbled with excitement. “Mr. Sanders, did Mr. Coleman ask me to come? Are you sure it’s Mr. Coleman?” She asked.
Everett nodded and cleared his throat, “Yes, Mr. Coleman wants to see you. Make sure you answer honestly.”
Tamera nodded eagerly and followed Everett to Andrew’s desk. She stood quietly, but her heart pounded as she stared at Andrew.
She had always seen Andrew from a distance. But at that moment, she stood before him. It felt surreal, and she couldn’t help but blush.
Seeing Tamera’s expression, Cathy realized she was crushing on Andrew and thought, ‘Everyone seems to be enamored with Mr. Coleman. But what does she, a design assistant, have that made her worthy for Mr. Coleman?‘
Cathy immediately asked, “Ms. Dixon, when you passed the design drafts from your department to Ms. Dawson yesterday, was everything in perfect condition?”
Tamera was puzzled by Cathy’s question. Noticing this, Cathy lowered her tone and warned, “Think carefully before you answer. If we found out you’ve taken the bullet for someone else, we won’t hesitate to end your contract.”
Tamera stared at Everett blankly. Meanwhile, Everett wiped the sweat from his forehead, and asked, “Tamera, after I gave you the folder with the design drafts yesterday, did you accidentally spill anything on it?”
Tamera shook her head, looking puzzled. “I did not.”
“Are you sure? Were the drafts in perfect condition when you handed them to Ms. Dawson?” Everett asked one more time.
