Chapter 94
When Tamera heard Everett, she understood something was wrong. She looked at Andrew’s desk and saw a folder soaked in coffee. Looking closely, she noticed something and thought, ‘Could it be that ruined folder containing Adair’s designs?”
Tamera immediately blamed Alyssa, “When I handed the design drafts to Ms.Dawson, it was in perfect condition. She must’ve accidentally spilled coffee on those drafts!” Afraid of getting into trouble, Tamera insisted it was Alyssa’s doing.
Tamera seemed to recall something and explained, “Yes, she must’ve ruined it. She had gotten off work when I handed in the documents yesterday. She didn’t want to go to the 37th floor, so she took it home. She must have spilled the coffee at home.”
“But she didn’t drink coffee at home,” Andrew interrupted.
Everyone immediately looked at him. Alyssa also looked at him in surprise.
Andrew coughed lightly and asked Alyssa, “You didn’t drink coffee, did you?”
Alyssa nodded, “I didn’t, so this wasn’t my doing.”
you didn’t drink coffee last Hearing the answer, Tamera became anxious. “Ms. Dawson, what do you mean by this? You said night. Are you accusing me? Mr. Coleman, I didn’t do it. It wasn’t me. It was fine when I gave it to Ms. Dawson, so it must be Ms. Dawson’s doing!”
Alyssa and Tamera looked at each other. Then, Alyssa said, “I’m not accusing you, Ms. Dixon. I know you didn’t do it.
Hearing Alyssa’s words, Tamera looked at her in surprise, “You…
Alyssa turned to look at Andrew and ensured, “This matter has nothing to do with Ms. Dixon and Mr. Sanders, let them go back to work.”
Cathy curled her lips and asked, “Ms. Dawson, are you admitting you ruined the designs?”
Alyssa smiled slightly and lowered her gaze. She would not give her answer right away.
Meanwhile, Andrew told Everett, “Mr. Sanders, you may return to work with Ms. Dixon.”
Everett breathed a sigh of relief and immediately whispered to Tamera, “Let’s go.”
Tamera hurriedly followed him and left Andrew’s room. Afterward, Everett wiped the sweat off his forehead and said, “Oh, what a relief. I thought I was getting fired!”
Meanwhile, Tamera did not say anything. Her heart felt guilty. She tried to blame Alyssa for what happened, but Alyssa defended her, saving her career. ‘Am I a bad person?‘ She thought. Afterward, she followed behind Everett.
When they entered the elevator, Everett said, “Ms. Dawson is a good person. She didn’t push the responsibility onto us but took all the responsibility herself. Meanwhile, Ms. Carlson doesn’t look like she will let Ms. Dawson off easily. I hope everything is fine up there.”
Tamera bit her lower lip and murmured, “Will she be fired?”
“Fire her?” Everett shook his head. “I’m afraid it’s worse. The company will probably demand compensation before firing her. After all, she ruined Adair’s designs.”
Tamera took a deep breath and said, “She is so stupid! Why did she decide to admit it?”
