Chapter 25 Feel Sorry
A surge of bitterness rose in her throat as she looked attenry’s cold, indifferent profile.
Suddenly, she thought of Kate. If today’s conflict had been with?
ween Kate and Claire, who would he side
Would he continue to protect his cousin as always, or would he favor his beloved darling?
She couldn’t help but ask aloud what was on her mind,
Henry frowned deeply, clearly confused by her way of thinking. His tone turned impatient as he said, “I’m talking about your situation. Why are you bringing up her things?”
“Huh.” Shana let out a small, wry smile,
Avoiding the question and getting annoyed was already an answer.
When it came to choosing between Kate and Claire, it was clear he would have picked Kate.
Shana knew she was at the bottom of his list, or more accurately, after all her efforts, she was still stick outside his heart.
Arguing about this had seemed pointless.
She quickly snapped back to her usual composed self and said calmly, “Okay, I’ll go apologize.”
Anyone can make empty promises. If you want me to apologize, wait until the next life!
She’d been causing chaos lately, almost like she was possessed, and it really got on his nerves. Now that she’d finally given in, his anger still hadn’t subsided.
Seeing her white–knuckled lips and slightly red eyes, you’d think he’d been especially harsh on her.
She had been the one causing trouble. Who was she trying to impress with her tears?
“Help! Mr. Floyd Senior has collapsed!” A servant burst out of the room, shouting in panic.
Henry’s face went pale as he quickly headed toward the master bedroom.
Shana froze for a moment, and then pulled herself together and hurried after him.
In the bedroom, Duncan lay on the bed, looking pale and motionless. Shana felt her mind go blank and her legs go weak.
Duncan was old but healthy. What was going on?
Cyrus soon arrived, calmly checked him, gave first aid, and then turned to Henry. “He needs to be taken to the hospital.”
Henry nodded and told the servants to get the car read

Larry drove off.
Henry got into another car and started the engine. He saw Shana still standing there, dazed. He honked sharply and shouted, “Shana, what are you just standing there for? Get in the car!”
The harsh sound startled Shana, and she frowned. She looked at Henry, irritated by his attitude but knowing this wasn’t the time to argue. Taking a deep breath, she walked over.
She went straight to the back door, opened it, got in, and shut it, all in one smooth motion.
Henry’s face grew even darker. “Get in the front seat. Am I your driver?”
Shana stayed where she was, unfazed. “Is this really the time for that? Just drive already. Grandpa’s waiting! What a devoted grandson!”
Furious, Henry gripped the steering wheel tightly. But he was anxious about Duncan, so he said nothing, just slammed on the gas, and the car shot forward.
When Duncan got to the hospital, he was rushed into surgery. After about three hours, the red light finally went off, and Cyrus came out in scrubs.
He took off his mask and told Henry, “Don’t worry, Mr. Floyd Senior is stable for now.”
Henry patted him on the shoulder and said, “Thanks for your hard work.”
Everyone felt relieved when they heard the news.
But Shana, paying close attention, caught the word “for now” and wondered what was really going on with
Duncan.
Mr. Floyd Senior was moved to a hospital room. Since he was still unconscious, Henry told everyone to go home and said he’d stay to keep watch.
As his wife, Shana stayed behind too.
This time, she didn’t complain or show any reluctance. She cared for Duncan like he was her own grandpa, and she wouldn’t relax until he woke up.
The night was quiet, with only the soft beeping of the machines breaking the silence.
Shana’s eyes moved from Duncan’s pale face to Henry, who was standing next to her.
After everything that happened, he looked exhausted and pale, with a sad, worn–out look.
She knew how close he was to Duncan.
She asked quietly, “What’s wrong with Grandpa?”
She hadn’t asked before because there were too many people around.
Henry looked at her with a scornful glare. “You’re always talking about divorcing me and cutting ties with the Floyds. Why would you care now?”
What the…

Chapter 25 Feel Sorry
She thought to herself, Someone should tear apart this guys mouth!
This sc*mbag makes it hard for me to feel sorry for him.
“Fine,” she said coldly. “You’re right. We’re getting divorced, so I guess it’s not my problem.”

After Shana made her biting comment, she calmed down, turned away, and sat on the sofa without looking at him again!
Henry’s lips were pressed into a tight line. He frowned at her and was about to go over when the door opened.
Cyrus walked in, now wearing a doctor’s white coat. He looked even more refined and pleasant to the eye.
“Henry, come outside for a moment. I need to talk to you,” Cyrus said.
“Sure.”
Henry glanced at Shana, who was still staring at her phone without looking up. He walked out of the room.
At the end of the hallway, Henry leaned against the wall, pulled out a cigarette, and lit it. He took a deep drag and exhaled a thick cloud of smoke.
He looked both dejected and oddly charming at the same time.
“Go ahead,” he said quietly.
Cyrus, with his hands in his pockets, stared out at the moon. “Mr. Floyd Senior’s heart failure is pretty severe and has spread. Given his age, we can only offer supportive care. I’ll do everything I can.”
He came back from abroad just for Duncan. Now he was the doctor in charge.
Henry looked down.
The news wasn’t surprising.
Three years ago, Duncan was so determined to have him get married because he knew he was sick and might not have much time left. He wanted to take care of his worries before it was too late.
He’d been keeping this a secret–only he knew about it. He didn’t want anyone else to find out, so he was pretending to be busy while he was supposed to be in the hospital.
If things hadn’t gotten worse, he wouldn’t have come back.
He took another deep drag from his cigarette. “How much longer?”
Cyrus sighed. “About six months.”
“Understood.”
Henry closed his eyes briefly, and when he opened them again, he was back to his usual calm self. He put out his cigarette in the nearby trash can and said, “I’m counting on you to take care of Grandpa.”

Cyrus smiled. “It’s my responsibility. Don’t worry about it.”
Henry nodded and started to head back to the room.
“Henry, there’s one more thing, about Shana …”

Henry stopped in his tracks, his eyes narrowing sharply as he looked at him.
Cyrus seemed to ignore his reaction and said casually, Today, Claire was the one who threw juice at Shana first. Shana only reacted in defense; she didn’t start it.”
“Did you see it?”
“No, but the servants who were there should have. You can ask them.”
Henry gave a faint, uncertain smile. It was unclear if he believed him or not. He suddenly asked, “When did you two meet?”
Cyrus didn’t hide anything and gave a brief explanation.
“You’ve only met her twice, and you already know what kind of person she is?” Henry’s tone was flat, with no hint of emotion.
Cyrus frowned, about to respond but Henry cut him off. “We’ll take care of our own problems as a couple by ourselves.
“When we got married, you weren’t here. Later, my wife and I will invite you out to dinner so you can get to know her formally.”
Cyrus nodded in response and didn’t say anything else.
“I’m going back now.”
Henry walked a few steps, and then stopped and said lazily, “Cyrus, considering our age, you should treat her as a sister–in–law. Don’t mess it up!”
