Chapter 5 Is Mr Floyd Incapable?
Cheryl’s implication was clear. After the divorce, Shana would no longer be Mrs. Floyd and would lose all the privileges that came with that title–fancy clothes, bags, jewelry, and unlimited credit cards,
“You don’t think I’m going to be like some self–righteous heroine in a novel, walking away from the divorce without taking anything, do you?”
Shana had already considered this.
For three years, she had diligently played the role of Henry’s wife, the daughter–in–law of the Floyd family. Although Henry didn’t like her, that didn’t stop him from sleeping with her.
After all, they were a legitimate married couple. She had taken care of him, honored his parents, always upheld his reputation in public.

Moreover, the reason for the divorce was his infidelity. He even had an illegitimate child. She was the one choosing to step back and let that pair of adulterers be together, Asking for half of his assets was the least she could do.
After the divorce, she would immediately rise to the Paragon list of wealthy…en. With money, beauty.
and free time, without having to serve a lousy man, what could possibly trouble her for the rest of her life?
After listening. Cheryl sobered up instantly and gave her a sincere thumbs up. “Shana, you’re seriously woke! I underestimated you!”
She clasped her hands together and said, “When you’re rich and successful, don’t forget about me, future lady tycoon!”
Shana sent the drafted divorce agreement to both Floyd Group and their home at Moonville Bay, ensuring that Henry would see it no matter where he was.
Henry saw it in the company’s conference room. He was in a meeting, and his assistant, Larry Weaver, had accidentally brought it in among some documents and unknowingly displayed it on the projector.
As a result, all the senior executives saw the bold divorce agreement, which not only demanded half of Henry’s assets but also spelled out the reasons.
“Cheating within marriage, wanting to have his cake and eat it too–if a man doesn’t respect himself, he’s no better than a snake oil salesman!”
“Moreover, the husband has failed to satisfy his wife in bed, and after three years, still hasn’t managed to get her pregnant. A marriage without love or children is a hollow shell. The husband’s failure on all fronts warrants divorce!”
The executives exchanged glances, then cast concerned looks at Henry.
Is our usually wise and powerful boss a flop in the bedroom?
No wonder he kept a mistress. The less a man has to offer, the more he tries to overcompensate.
Larry hurriedly turned off the projector, glancing nervously at Henry,

Hey sat in his swivel chair, his eyes cold as he stared at the divorce agreement. After a long moment, at derisive laugh escaped his lips.
He tossed the papers aside, commenting. “This woman is getting more creative by the day
Larry was filled with questions as he couldn’t help bin wonder.
Mrs. Floyd had made threats of divorce before, but they were always fleeting. However, this was the first time she had presented a formal agreement. Could she be serious this timer
Hesitantly, Larry asked. “Mr. Floyd, is there a chance that Mrs. Floyd really does want a divorce?”
“Impossible”
Henry’s voice was cold but firm, exuding confidence.
Larry pondered this and found himself agreeing. Everyone had witnessed Shana’s deep affection for Hemy over the past three years.
As one of Henry’s childhood friends had once remarked, Shana clung to him with such tenacity, served
with such devotion, and stuck to him like glue, that not even the mountains or heavens separating them could tear them apart!
Just as Larry was about to leave, a thought struck him.
He paused and said, “Mr. Floyd, since there were many people in the meeting, should we maybe remind them not to spread any rumors about Mrs. Floyd wanting a divorce?
gets out, it could lead to a lot of speculation about Floyd Group, and even affect the stock price.”
Larry thought he was being thorough, but Henry dismissed his concern without a second thought. “There’s no need to explain something that doesn’t exist. You can go.”
Shana waited impatiently for a response from Henry, but days passed in silence. Frustrated, she reluctantly removed him from her blacklist and called him.
The phone rang once before being abruptly disconnected.
She gritted her teeth and tried again, only to be met with the same result.
Clenching her jaw, she forced herself to remain calm and not stoop to his level. Once the divorce was tinalized and she had the money, she would hire people online to tarnish his reputation.
Just as she was about to call again, her phone rang.
Shana raised an eyebrow. Has the jerk suddenly developed a conscience?
