Henry’s anger erupted, his handsome face darkening. He grabbed Shana’s chin, forcing her to meet his
gaze
“Shana, have you gone mad with greed? You dare to talk about splitting assets after spending these years. lazing around as a pampered wife, doing nothing but wasting money? Have you earned a single penny yourself?”
Shana’s hand clenched tightly.
Henry’s eyes filled with mocking disdain. “Are you in such a rush to divorce so you can go back and team up with your dear uncle to find another fool to sell yourself to for a good price?”
Shana’s chest heaved with rage. She had never expected anything decent to come out of his mouth, but he still managed to shook her with just how low he could go.
Her eyes reddened, and a mist clouded her vision, But when Henry looked at her, she forced a smile.
“Mr. Floyd, you don’t think that just because you said that, I’ll back down from claiming my share, do you?”
Then, her gaze turned icy. “Considering what you did to me, taking i

If she hadn’t escaped that night, she wouldn’t be standing here negotiating a divorce–she would have made sure they both perished together!.
Henry frowned, a strange look flashing in his dark eyes. What had he done to her?
Shana forcefully pulled his hand away and spoke with righteous indignation. “We didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement, so from the moment you married me, every cent you earned afterward is half mine. If you’re unclear about that. I’d be happy to have my lawyer explain the marriage laws to you!”
Why should she give it all up? If she did, it would just be left for the mistress to enjoy.
If anyone was going to be the understanding one in this situation, it wasn’t going to be her!
Henry laughed in anger. His eyes tinged with red as he glared at her and ground his teeth.
“Fine, I’d like to see if you have what it takes to claim half of my assets!”
He stormed off, leaving Shana leaning against the wall. She took a moment to regain her strength, just as Brian emerged from the private room, carrying bags of supplements.
It was unclear how much he had overheard, but Shana didn’t bother asking, waiting for him to speak first.
But Brian’s expression remained neutral, and he said nothing about what had just transpired. He simply remarked, “Let’s go. I’ll take you home.”
On the way back to the apartment, Brian only talked about her health, how to take the supplements, and how devoutly Gillian had prayed for the fertility charm never mentioning the earlier confrontation as if nothing had happened.
As they were about to part ways, Shana couldn’t hold bark any longer.

As soon as she said it, she felt a sense of relief but also braced herself for the storm that might follow.
But Brian seemed unfazed. “Every time you argue, you say you’re going to divorce, but you always reconcile soon after. I doubt you’ll last three days this time. Once you’ve calmed down, go make amends with your husband. You can’t blame Henry for bring sangry this time–you’ve embarrassed him greatly.
Shana was stunned.
It wasn’t the mention of the publicly displayed divorce papers that stunned her, though that certainly humiliated Henry. It was the realization of just how insignificant she had become in this marriage.
She had threatened divorce countless times, only to always return and plead for reconciliation.
After so many false alarms, no one took her seriously anymore.
Not Brian, and definitely not Henry.
Back in the apartment.
Cheryl examined the expensive supplements and clicked her tongue. “Your aunt is only ever this generous when it comes to you having a baby. Normally, she’s incredibly tight–fisted, but she’ll spare no expense for
this”
She smirked sarcastically, “But I guess it makes sense. No pain, no gain, right? If you have the Floyds heir, you’ll be set for life, and she’ll get to bask in the reflected glory. The Floyds are like a gold mine to her.”
Shana tugged at the corner of her mouth, saying nothing.
Realizing she might have overstepped, Cheryl forced a laugh and changed the subject. “You really pissed of Henry today. He probably won’t agree to the divorce easily. What’s your next move?”
Hugging a pillow, Shana shrugged nonchalantly. “Obviously… keep pissing him off until he does.”
The next morning at 5:30 AM, Shana was roused by ten alarins. He grabbed her phone and dialed Henry’s number.
He had a very precise internal clock, waking up at 6:30 AM every day, and he was notoriously grumpy when woken up.
So when he answered the phone, his voice was low and irritable, “What do you want?,”
Shana got straight to the point, “Mr. Floyd, when are we going to finalize the divorce?”
“Shana, do you even know what time it is?”
Unfazed, Shana hung up.
The next day, she called again with the same question.
This time, he snapped, “Why don’t you make an appointment with a psychiatrist?”
