Chapter 115
He didn’t answer right away. He just kept staring at me like I was the only thing in the universe that made sense to him.
I hated how it made me feel.
I turned toward my closet, needing distance. “You should be with your guest.”
“Guest?”
I pulled a shirt from the hanger, voice flat. “Tall. Pretty. Perfect. The one you kissed.”
His voice dropped. Low. Dangerous. “Is that what you think she is to us?”
I shrugged, still not looking at him. “It’s none of my business.”
I heard the floor creak behind me. He was coming closer.
I tightened my towel and turned. “Don’t.”
He stopped. But his eyes were dark now.
Hungry.
“You think we’ve moved on? That we brought someone else into our home to replace you?”
“It’s not like you owe me anything, Enzo,” I said, forcing a cold smile. “You made that clear.”
He stepped in until the space between us was suffocating. His hand reached up, slow, brushing my wet hair back behind my ear.
My breath hitched.
“That woman is our sister Aria. She flew in few days ago. She’s staying a few days.”
I blinked.
“You kissed her forehead, I whispered.
He leaned in closer. His lips barely moved. “Because she lost her girlfriend. Fiancée actually. We’re comforting her. She’s family, my sister.”
The blood drained from my face.
I felt like the floor dropped under me.
He saw it all. The way my shoulders slumped. The way I sucked in a breath like I’d been drowning for hours.
“You were jealous,” he murmured, voice thick with something I didn’t want to name.
“No.”
“Liar.
He moved closer again. This time, I didn’t move away. His hand slid from my ear to my jaw, tilting my face up.

Chapter 115
I hated him for knowing.
I hated myself for doing it.
His thumb brushed under my eye, like he could feel where the tears had been. His touch was warm. Heavy.
Too much.
“You don’t get to do that,” I whispered. “You don’t get to leave me in the dark, disappear, and then come back like you care.”
“We never stopped caring. We were waiting. Giving you space. You said you needed time.”
I laughed bitterly. “So you let mysister deceive uou?”
His jaw tightened. “We stayed close. We watched. We made sure you were safe. Even when you didn’t know.”
I shook my head. “You could’ve just said something. Anything. Asked me. Believed me”
He leaned down until our foreheads almost touched. “I’m saying something now.”
My breath caught.
His other hand came up, resting on my waist. My towel slipped slightly, just a fraction. His eyes darkened.
“You can hate me tomorrow,” he said, voice like velvet and fire. “But tonight… just feel.”
I didn’t answer.
I couldn’t.
Because I already was.
Every nerve in my body was awake. Every inch of my skin buzzed with his presence. His closeness. His heat.
“Enzo…”
He pulled back slightly, just enough to meet my eyes. “You’re still mine, Aria. We never let you go.”
I opened my mouth to argue, to deny it, but he leaned in and kissed my forehead.
The same place he kissed her.
Only now I knew the truth.
And it didn’t make the ache go away.
It made it worse.
Because it reminded me of what I still wanted. What I still couldn’t admit.
What I still loved.
He stepped back, gave me space, but his eyes didn’t leave mine.
I’ll be waiting. We all are. But we won’t wait forever.”

Then he turned and left, closing the door behind him.
I stood in the silence.
Wrapped in my towel.
Heart pounding.
And I realized… I wasn’t okay.
Not anymore.
Not with pretending.
