Chapter 24
Chapter 24
Raising her long and slender neck, Sylvia pointed at Mia on the ground.
“Ask her yourself, and you will know.”
At this moment, Mia was still coughing, and her face was red. Pointing at Sylvia angrily several times, she
couldn’t say a word.
Seeing this, Nancy looked at Sylvia in disappointment and said sadly, “Sylvia, Mia is your sister–in–law. Although she said something unpleasant at the entrance of the hotel, she apologized. How can you take revenge on her like this?”
She added, “She’s just a little girl. Sylvia, you used to be so kind. How did you end up like this?”
Hearing her words, everyone on the scene thought that Sylvia was deliberately taking revenge.
Mia nodded vigorously in agreement. She coughed and cried at the same time, looking so aggrieved.
The crowd began to whisper. After all, the victim was Mia from the Fallen Group. Everyone followed suit
and complained about Sylvia.
Saying nothing, Edgar stared at Sylvia gloomily.
His stare made Sylvia uncomfortable all over. She sneered and asked, “You know Mia best. Do you also think that I’m taking revenge on her deliberately?”
Edgar pursed his lips tightly and remained noncommittal. No one could tell what he was thinking from his expression.
Smiling sarcastically, Sylvia felt that her question was absurd. After all, Edgar had never believed her.
But it didn’t matter to her whether he believed her or not. She didn’t bother to explain.
She turned around and planned to leave, but several socialites who usually got along with Mia stopped
her.
“Stop! Do you want to leave after beating Mia? It’s not that simple!”
“That’s right. If you don’t give us an explanation today, don’t even think about leaving here.”
Sylvia snorted disdainfully. Just as she was about to retort, she saw Patric pushing his way through the crowd and standing in front of her.

When the socialites saw Patric, their eyes lit up, and they all went up to add fuel to the fire.
“Mr. Smith, did you see that? This woman is extremely vicious and despicabler
“That’s right, Mr. Smith. You must seek justice for Mia. What’s more, this woman doesn’t deserve your
status,”
Patric was expressionless. He tugged at his tie and slowly took off his suit jacket.
Just as the ladies were watching him take off his clothes and being infatuated with him, he gently put his
coat on Sylvia dotingly.
“It’s late. Don’t be cold.”
The crowd was shocked to see this scene. Those who had been hostile to Sylvía suddenly stopped talking
The socialites were so jealous that they wanted to kill Sylvia.
Putting his arm around Sylvia’s shoulder as if there were no one else around, Patric said, “It’s getting late. Let’s go back.”
Sylvia nodded.
As soon as they turned their heads, Nancy said unfriendly things behind them.
“Mr. Smith, her bullying Mia is an indisputable fact. Are you really going to protect her?”
Patric turned around, but he looked into Edgar’s eyes and said, “My girl never takes the initiative to make
trouble unless someone finds fault with her first. Mr. Fallen, if you don’t believe me, check the hotel surveillance video. Otherwise, go to the police station and find out what happened.”
The way he addressed Sylvia as his girl indicated that he doted on her so much and was intimate with
her.
Edgar was stunned.
He thought, “Judging from their familiarity, could it be that they knew each other since we got married?”
Clenching his fists, he looked at the petite Sylvia in Patric’s arms and asked solemnly, “Have you ever been disloyal to me?”
The crowd suddenly burst into an uproar.
Given Mr. Fallen’s words… why sounded a bit jealous?
As if she had heard the funniest joke in the world, Sylvia looked back at him.

“We were married for three years. I have a clear conscience about you. As for what you said, it should be me who asks you that.” As she spoke, she looked sarcastically at Nancy, who was holding Mia on the ground.
Then she left the Easter Hotel with Patric without looking back.
The crowd burst into an uproar!
