Edgar called the butler over.
“From today on, Mrs. Yvonne Fallen and Miss Fallen will be grounded together. No one is allowed to let them out without my permission. If anyone dares to disobey me, they will be punished severely under
the rules of the old mansion,”
“Huh?”
Yvonne wondered, “Isn’t he going to teach that bitch a lesson?”
She flew into a rage, pointed at Edgar, and scolded him for being ungrateful and rebellious…
Edgar allowed her to scold him as she pleased. Without saying another word, he walked out of the room with a sullen face.
Then he called Tim over.
“Get someone to fix up the house as soon as possible, and then send someone here to keep an eye on the old mansion. Every phone call must be monitored and reported to me as soon as possible.”
“Yes.” Tim glanced at Edgar hesitantly.” But Boss, won’t this be a little too cruel to Mrs. Yvonne Fallen and Miss Fallen? Miss Lancelot was really too ruthless.”
Thinking of Yvonne and Mia’s miserable situation when he came in, Tim couldn’t bear it. He didn’t understand why his boss was so protective of that woman.

It was a small model airplane made by the aviation bureau!
“Fuck!”
Javier had forgotten that she was no longer a 15–year–old kid!
She had been looking forward to this for so long.
Patric, who was standing next to her, laughed hysterically. When he saw that her face was red with anger, he coughed twice and added, “Sylvia, this is a limited edition plane made by Javier. You can’t buy it with money. There’s only one like it in the world, it’s unique. Javier put in a lot of effort to make it!”
Sylvia rolled her eyes at him.
Fortunately, Sergio’s gift was not bad, which eased her anger a bit.
It was an exquisite emerald ring with a hidden mechanism inside that could shoot out a silver needle. It could also be regarded as a weapon when necessary.
She put on the ring. As for the small model airplane, she put it in the corner of the room.
Then, she took a shower and went to sleep.
The next day, she went to work on time.
As soon as she pushed open the office door, she saw a slender and strange figure standing in front of her desk.
The woman heard the sound of the door opening and turned to look at her.
The woman’s small oval face and almond–shaped eyes were full of arrogance. When she looked at Sylvia, the contempt in her eyes gradually turned into jealousy and hatred.
This strange woman seemed to be very hostile to Sylvia.
Before Sylvia could speak, the strange woman said, “When Sophia told me about you before, I didn’t believe it. Now it seems that you really do look like a bitch.”
Sylvia was confused.
She walked around the woman and sat down in her office chair, then said to the woman, “Miss, I have work to do. Please leave.”

Sylvia was interested in that. “You like him?”
The woman raised her hands proudly and snorted. “I’m his fiancee.”
Fiancee?
She was the woman who was engaged to Patric two years ago. She was Sarah Grammer, the second daughter of the Grammer family, which was one of the big families in S City.
Why had she never heard Patric mention her?
It seemed that he was not interested in this woman.
And it just so happened that Sylvia did not want such an arrogant person to be her future sister–in–law.
With a smile on her face, Sylvia said, “You are just a fiancee. Everything can be changed before the time comes. Miss Grammer, are you trying to claim sovereignty? I’m sorry, this place is small, so I can’t entertain you.”
“You!”
Sarah was choked with anger.
Before she could say anything more, Sylvia quickly threw herself into work and ignored her.
Sarah had no place to vent her anger and could only leave resentfully.
After leaving Sylvia’s office, she glanced at Lucy.
Lucy understood and followed her to a remote corridor where there were no surveillance cameras.
Sarah asked, “Is the new general manager of your company any good?”
Lucy glanced around to make sure that there was no one around.
She said in a low voice, “Mr. Smith personally brought her to the company and asked us to take care of her. I guess that she has been entangled with Mr. Smith before joining the company. Moreover, she usually doesn’t take anyone seriously. She even hit the popular artists in the company at will. She is extremely arrogant.”

Sarah was furious. “In that case, we can’t let her stay here.”
She waved her hand and gestured for Lucy to come closer. Then, she instructed her in a voice that only the two of them could hear.
Hearing this, Lucy felt a little fearful.
“Is that… really okay? Isn’t it too much?”
Sarah patted her on the shoulder gently. “Don’t worry. When it’s done, I’ll put in a good word for you to Patric and have you replace her as the general manager.”
On one hand was her sense of conscience. On the other hand was a promotion.

In the afternoon
Sylvia was still assigning recent activities to artists in the office when Lucy knocked on the door and came in with a smile on her face. Her attitude was unprecedentedly good.
“Director Lancelot, have you heard that the Saint TV Group has invested a huge sum of money in a male
lead drama?”
Sylvia didn’t even raise her head. She focused on her work and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Lucy smiled as if she were an old friend and respectfully handed a document to Sylvia. “I’ve won the opportunity to negotiate with the person in charge of the Saint TV Group, but they asked you to negotiate
it.”
Only then did Sylvia raise her head and look at her coldly.
Lucy was shocked by the coldness in her eyes, which seemed to be able to penetrate one’s heart.
Sylvia sneered and said, “It’s a good thing to get a commission bump. You should go there to negotiate a
contract.”
Lucy hastily smiled.
“I do want to go, but they think that I’m in a minor position, so only the director–level people are qualified to discuss it. In fact, the commission is not a big deal. After all, it’s a good opportunity to help the company’s artists build momentum. It’s all for the sake of the company. As long as we can get it, anyone would be happy to go.”

that you have been so respectful to me.”

When they arrived at the luxurious private room, three potbellied middle–aged men politely got up. When they looked at Sylvia, their eyes lit up.
Lucy took the lead in introducing them with a smile. “This is the beautiful director of the Angle Group, Miss Lancelot.
“Director, these three are Director Johnson, Director Wilson, and Director Moore.”
“You’re all directors?”
Sylvia blinked innocently and asked, “Why didn’t the Executive Leader come to talk to me?”
