Chapter 48
The fight was still going on in the living room.
Sylvia failed to hit Edgar for the first time. In the subsequent battle, her physical strength was no match for his. In addition, she was wearing high heels, so she was forced to the wall very soon.
Edgar smiled, grabbed her left wrist, and was about to press it against the wall.
It was the same trick as before.
This time, Sylvia learned her lesson. She knew he wanted to restrain her hands and press her against the wall. While he was grabbing her left hand, she opened the secret button of the ring with her right hand, and the silver needle popped out.
Edgar was caught off guard, and the silver needles on her emerald ring pressed against his Adam’s apple.
Fortunately, she had worn the ring given by Sergio. Although the silver needle was small, it was tough.
Time seemed to freeze.
They were so close that they seemed to be able to feel each other’s breath.
Edgar swallowed slightly, and a trace of dark red blood slipped down from his neck. The collar of his noble white shirt was quickly dyed red, like a small blooming poppy.
He frowned. “So ruthless?”
Sylvia sneered. “To deal with a bastard like you, I must be ruthless.”
Edgar smiled and moved forward a little more.
It seemed he didn’t believe she dared to kill him in the villa.
“If you come any closer, I will cut your throat. If you don’t believe me, you can try.”
Her words were light, but Edgar could clearly see the viciousness in her eyes.
If he provoked this woman, she would kill him.
He chuckled, let go of her hand, and took two steps back.
Sylvia was free now. She rubbed her left wrist gently and bypassed him to get the transfer agreement on
the coffee table.

She quickly browsed through it. There was nothing wrong.
She picked up the pen next to her and signed the transfer without hesitation.
He took one of them and left without looking back.
Edgar looked at her elegant back and raised his hand to touch the blood on his Adam’s apple. His expression was mysterious.
Sylvia came out of the villa.
When Tim saw her, he shrank his neck subconsciously. He ran to the villa to check on Edgar when she walked past him.
Sylvia ignored him and took out her phone to call Beth.
“Find a few people to take care of the villa. Replace all the furniture. Also, replant the flowers in the garden.”
“Okay, Ms. Lancelot.”
Beth agreed obediently and asked, “When do you plan to move in, Ms. Lancelot? I’ll arrange the time as
soon as possible.”
Sylvia smiled. “Who said I wanted to live here?”
“Ah? Ms. Lancelot, aren’t you going to move in?”
Before she could finish her words, Sylvia hung up the phone.
She walked up to the Santana parked at the gate. As soon as she opened the door, she heard the sound of a car slowly approaching from behind.
The car stopped not far away.
Nancy got out of the back seat. There seemed to be another person back there also. Judging from the hand movements, it seemed to be a woman, but her face was covered.
Sylvia didn’t want to talk to her. She just glanced at her and looked away, ready to get in the car and
leave.
Nancy trotted over to her and blocked her car door. She sounded surprised.
“Are you here to pester Edgar? He has nothing to do with you now!”
Sylvia smiled and said playfully, “You should ask him. He asked me to come.”

Nancy was shocked.

“Edgar wouldn’t have asked you to come! He wouldn’t even look at you if you hadn’t nagged him.”
Although she didn’t believe it, she did have a trace of doubt in her heart.
Sylvia removed the transfer agreement from her bag and waved it to Nancy. “Look, Edgar has transferred this house to me.”
After that, she pushed Nancy away.
Nancy lost her balance. She staggered a few steps before she could stand firm. She was so shocked that her eyes turned red.
Edgar had actually handed this house over to Sylvia.
He didn’t even allow her to get close to it. How could he give it to this woman so generously?
Why?
She was so angry, but then she figured it out.
Staring at Sylvia, she said fiercely, “Edgar gave it to you as part of the divorce settlement, right? He did this to draw a clear line between you and him. I advise you to give up whatever you are planning on
him!”
Sylvia sneered, but she was not angry. She suddenly narrowed her eyes and said, “This place belongs to me from now on. Miss Mellis, you’d better stay away. Otherwise, I don’t mind getting someone to throw
you out.”
“You!”
Nancy was pissed off. Seeing Sylvia open the door and sit in the driver’s seat, she became complacent again.
“In the past, you had the support of Patric, and I couldn’t defeat you. But from tomorrow on, you will be a
loser in front of me!”
Sylvia glanced at her and ignored her threat. Igniting the engine, she accelerated, leaving a trail of exhaust fumes billowing in Nancy’s face as the car pulled away.
Nancy choked and coughed. She stared at the green Santana and stamped her feet. Viciousness flashed across her eyes.
She couldn’t wait to see Sylvia suffer.

Chapter 48
Sylvia drove back to Patric’s villa. When she passed by a billboard, a piece of news was displayed on it. Hedda Mellis, the young lady of the Mellis family, had a car accident due to alcohol. Hedda was saved but she might be vegetative for the rest of her life.
Hedda’s parents looked very sad in front of the camera.
Sylvia didn’t pay much attention to the news.
Three days later, Sylvia went to the canteen for lunch.
The employees seemed to be particularly gossipy, and their expressions were very interesting when they talked.
Although Sylvia found it strange, she didn’t like surfing the Internet, so she didn’t like to listen to gossip.
“Ms. Lancelot, have you heard the big news
s mornin
Beth came over with her dishes and two collages and sat beside Sylvia.
“What news?”
Seeing that she didn’t know, Beth was intrigued by the gossip. “Do you know the news that the daughter of the Mellis family had a car accident a few days ago? Now the Mellis family announced they will bring back their youngest daughter, who has been abroad because of an illness.”
Sylvia focused on eating without raising her head. “What’s so strange about that?”
“Do you know who that girl is? It’s Nancy, the fiancee of the president of the Fallen Group!”
Sylvia paused.
Seeing that she finally reacted, Beth became excited. “Everyone is laughing at the Mellis Group. Hedda had just had an accident, and now they will celebrate Nancy’s return.”
The other two female employees at the same table also quickly joined in the discussion. They were all dissatisfied with the Mellis Group’s behavior and even boldly guessed that Nancy’s identity was not as simple as it seemed.
People held different opinions, and they were all talking about this matter.
Sylvia listened quietly and did not participate.
She suddenly remembered what Nancy had said to her in front of the villa a few days before she left.
Now it appeared that Hedda’s accident might not be as straightforward as it seemed.
