Just as she was about to question Nancy, Jack and Edgar walked over side by side,
Seeing Edgar, Nancy burst into tears and rushed over. “Edgar…”
Edgar glanced at her and pursed his lips in silence.

Jack saw the embarrassment on Nancy’s face and asked, “What’s going on?”

“Really?” Edgar frowned, and his face became colder and colder.
Nancy still held a glimmer of hope. She nodded and tightened her grip on his arm.
Almost instantly, he withdrew his hand. “Nan, I really don’t understand you.”
Nancy choked.

even more.

His cell phone suddenly rang.
She glanced at the name displayed on the screen and answered without hesitation. “Thank you very much for tonight. If it weren’t for you, I might’ve made a fool of myself there.”
On the other end of the phone, Miss Zoey laughed loudly and said, “You’re welcome! “The Winter‘ seems
to be tailor–made for you. If it gets tainted by that Nancy, I’ll be depressed.”

Sylvia pursed her lips and smiled.

As soon as she sat down, Beth followed her in.
She looked sincerely worried. “Ms. Lancelot, did you hear what they just said?”
Sylvia replied with a simple “hmm” but acted in a calm way.
“Then… you know about the trending topics on the Internet?”

Seeing her confused look, Beth quickly explained, “Last night, someone suddenly posted a video on the Internet, saying that you splashed red wine on Miss Mellis at a banquet of the Mellis family. Then this morning, someone exposed that you were Mr. Fallen’s mistress. Now it’s all over the Internet.”
Sylvia suddenly stopped typing.
Beth then took out her phone and showed it to her.
She roughly browsed through the video. It had been edited, leaving only the scene of her splashing liquid on Nancy. She did look very arrogant.
