Chapter 113
Ares POV
It was about mid morning when suddenly the door to father’s office all but bursted open, my eyes now moving to those who had entered only to see my brother, a couple of bruises forming along his face but nothing major as he all but returned from the training grounds.
“How was training?” I ask, my eyes still trained on him.
Grunting, Eros moves to sit on the couch that was still stationed within the office.
Arching an eye I attempt to figure out what’s gotten into him when he finally snaps. “WHO THE FUCK DO THESE ASS FUCKS THINK THEY ARE” yells Eros, clearly still mad at something as I carefully try to ask him what was wrong.
For believe or not, it was often considered hard for someone or something to piss Eros off to the point that he’d start swearing like a sailor. Which meant that something clearly had to have happened while at this morning’s training.
“Okay spill, what’s gotten into you so badly?” I ask, treading with caution.
Snapping his eyes over to me, he all but growls before moving to sit back up his hands coming to run fingers through his hair before sighing, the need to blow off some steam a little necessary. “If you must know, I was over at the training grounds observing when suddenly two morons decided they wanted to start talking shit about our mate and Luna.” admits Eros, still angry that someone would do
that.
“WHAT?!” I yell, shocked that they would.
“Yes, it’s true, two of our newest pack members thought it would be okay to talk shit behind Athena’s back and not think that someone like me would hear them” growls Eros.
“Okay, take it easy. I’m sure it was all just a big ol misunderstanding” I move to say hoping to calm him down, not wanting or needing him to go back out to hurt someone in rage.
“But it wasn’t a big ol misunderstanding as you say it was, no, these two motherfuckers knew exactly what they were doing. So because of it I challenged them to fight” smirks Eros as if proud of himself for what he had done.
“Challenge? What Challenge?” I ask, the need to know evident.
“A sparring match, a fight” answers Eros proudly.
“Who won?” I ask, even though I’m sure I knew the answer to that one for my brother never lost a sparring match ever.
“Me of course, I whipped their asses good too” laughs Eros, definitely proud with what he had done early this morning.
“And the punishment?” I question, knowing that usually when Eros fought with someone, the winner usually got to pick the other’s fate and I was all but scared to know what he had picked for them just to prove a point to them.
“Simple, they got put on laundry duty for a month, that should hopefully teach them than to bad mouth their Luna like that in front of their Alpha and King. For never in my whole entire life have I ever felt humiliated by one of our pack members like that before, now just imagine if Athena was there, what she would have felt by that.” answers Eros.
Nodding, I begin to think the same way, knowing that if Athena had been there then she more than likely would have been hurt or upset by the fact that her pack, our pack was openly talking about her like she was no one of importance but more like a burden to those
around her.
Looks like we’ll need to have a meeting on pack order and tolerance. For that was definitely not okay for them to say what they did about

our mate, Our mate is strong and hella braver than they know for the only reason she surrendered to Ezra was because of the kids in the bunker, had she not he probably would have slaughtered them right before her eyes” I move to admit, a knowing look to my face as I move to speak it.
Humming in agreement to what I had just said, I carefully moved to contact Kai, knowing that both he and Seth were present there as well and wanted to hear it from him too.
‘Kai?‘ I called.
‘Yea?‘ answers Kai, his voice holding that of amusement..
‘What happened during training?‘ I ask, knowing that I shouldn’t have doubted my brother’s judgment but the need to verify it all the more prominent.
‘What did Eros tell you?‘ asks Kai, deflecting my question.
“That he basically challenged someone to a sparring match and now these two are facing laundry duty for a month is that true?”
Chucking does he move to reply back to me, clearly amused that his Alpha would do that.
‘Yes, Ares, Eros actually did do that, apparently two members of the Blood Rose Pack had decided to talk shit about their Luna, thinking of her to be an unfit candidate to rule over the packs for being weak.‘ answers Kai, causing me to growl as I did.
‘Good‘ I say, pausing yet again. ‘Oh and Kai, where having a meeting on pack order and tolerance for what happened today should not have happened. Just imagine what Athena would have felt had she been there.‘
‘I know Alpha, Sorry Alpha, It won’t happen again‘ answers Kai softly.
‘Good see to it that it doesn’t or else these punishments will get a whole lot harder‘ I bark before closing the link, my focus now back on my brother as I did.
“What?” I blink, Eros all but watching me as I did.
“Did you really have to check in with Kai?” asks Eros.
“Yes” I admit, shrugging as I did. “What can I say, I had to double check to make sure it was accurate after all”
Laughing at my words and my actions does Eros move to throw a pillow over in my direction, the pillow smacking me right in the face as
it did.
“HEY!” I laugh tossing the pillow to the side. “What was that for?”
“Simply, for not believing me when I first told you what happened, but no.. You had to go behind my back and as Kai who I’m sure all but told you the exact same thing, your cheeky bastard” snorts Eros, are playful banter all but fun until finally the need to get back to work arises, causing me to return to what I was doing, handling emails and calls as the new Alpha of the pack.
My brother soon joining me over at the desk to help me.
