Chapter 115
Ares POV
After yesterday’s events, Eros and I had eventually been scolded by Athena over the fact that we had been technically neglecting our mate and family. So attempting to fix it by speaking to her, Athena decided she herself wasn’t having any of that and had gone and closed herself off in the bathroom, refusing to speak to us.
A simple task that should have been simple enough to fix, became harder than it really needed to be. Athena having been so angry with us that she had eventually stormed off. Something that she had the very right to do for after all, it was totally our fault.
For while we were totally focused on protecting her and our home, we on the other hand were also failing as mates, failing to see that her needs were well met and clearly they were not. No. They were far from it.
‘We sure messed things up with mate haven’t we?‘ asks Zeus, a soft whine sounding as he did.
‘It would seem so‘ I admit openly to him.
‘So how are we going to fix it then?‘ questions Zeus, the need to be closer to her growing.
‘How about a Pack BBQ? That way not only can we spend time with her, the entire pack can as well, allowing them to truly see their Luna and Queen for what she’s worth. A beautiful mate and mother‘ I say, hoping that Athena would at least be willing to go for a pack activity opposed to just being locked away from us.
‘Worth a try‘ whispers Zeus.
Nodding in silence, I carefully moved to arrange the necessary things to ensure that we had everything that we needed to host a Pack BBQ for this evening.
Heading towards the Pack Kitchen, I’m eventually approached by Maya, the woman in question carrying her little girl within her arms, a smile gracing her lips as she moves to approach me. “Good Morning my Alpha” greets Maya.
“Good Morning Maya” I greet back in return.
“How are you today?” asks Maya again.
“I am doing well Maya, thank you. Tell me, how is baby Selene doing?” ask, my eyes moving to look at the sleeping infant within her
arms.
“She is doing wonderful Alpha. A little fussy here and there but overall wonderful. It’s hard to imagine just what Arthena might be going through with her triplets” admits Maya, causing me to sight sadly.
“What’s the matter Alpha?” asks Maya as she moves to look at her Alpha more closely. Noticing the way he had appeared to be sulking.
“It’s Athena, Maya” I move to say, wondering just how much information I should share with her without saying too much, not wanting others to know what was going on back at home or with us for that matter.
“What is wrong with Athena? Is everything okay?”
At catching the undertone of her worry do I move to sigh again.
“Everything is fine Maya. She’s just a tad mad with Eros and I” I admit, feeling embarrassed by it.
“Mad? About what?” asks Maya.

“For neglecting her by accident. I say to her, noticing the shocked look to her face before giving me a soft smile.
“Don’t worry Alpha, she won’t stay mad for long” admits Maya, knowing just how well Athena would eventually forgive them, especially if she wanted their attention.
“You think so?”
“I know so”
Smiling softly, I move to thank her quickly before letting her know of the Pack BBQ later this evening. All in which she smiles, moving to take care of Selene while letting me know that she and her mate would be there as well.
Watching her leave, do I move to return to my task at hand. The Kitchen staff. Needing to tell them as well of the upcoming BBQ.
-Pack BBQ-
“Whoa… this thing turned out huge” whispers Emma, as she moves to stand beside her best friend in the whole entire world.
“I know. Ares and Eros really out did themselves with this. Almost everyone from all the packs are here” chimes Emily.
“Out did themselves on what?” chimes a voice, causing both Emma and Emily to turn only to see that of Athena. Now dressed in a casual pair of dark wash denim shorts as well as a white peasant top that came off near the shoulders to help showcase her neck and shoulders along with each of her mating marks, her hair ties up into a high ponytail all while wearing a wedged heel.
“Oh Athena, you came” smiles Emma, happy to see her Luna out and about finally.
“Of course I’m here, why wouldn’t I be?” asks Athena, her eyes raised in a question.
“Oh for no reason” answers Emily to her Luna, her eyes scanning for that of Ares and Eros.
“What is going on?” asks Athena again, only to freeze when a pair of arms move to wrap themselves around her waist, instantly relaxing when she realizes it was one of her mates.
“You came. I didn’t think you would have” I move to whisper, gently moving to kiss her bare shoulder as she slowly shivers from my lips touching skin.
“I–I was curious” whispers Athena, secretly craving the touch of her mates but didn’t want to look weak for doing so.
Breathing in her scent, I move to speak up. “Athena darling, May I speak with you please?” sensing her hesitation, does she slowly move to nod in agreement.
“O–Okay”
Trying hard not to grin at her response, I carefully move to take her someplace more private. Knowing that I along with Eros had some major ass kissing to do tonight if we ever wanted her forgiveness.
Once alone, do I move to finally speak up, our eyes now moving to look at one another before finally I break the silence that was building between us.
“I’m sorry. I know what we did was wrong, but you must know that we love you. You’re our world, our Luna, our Queen. But most importantly the mother of our children. So please, can you ever find it within your heart to forgive us” I plead, hoping that she would.
Sighing softly, does Athena move to speak up. “I–1” pausing in her words I’m all but afraid that she’ll say no and head back home until she decides to speak up yet again.
“I’ll accept your apology. But only if you cut back on the patrols and spend more time with me and your pups. We miss you” admits

Athena, causing me to smile as quickly lift her into my arms before spinning her around, causing her to squeal in happiness.
“Of course love. Anything for you” 1 exclaim softly, happy to know that she was willing to forgive us.
Giggling again, does Athena move to wrap her arms around my neck before finally kissing me on the lips, a kiss I would cherish as a reminder to never piss her off again or else risk losing her all together,
Parting from the kiss, do I move to whisper slowly. “Come love, let us go and enjoy the Pack BBQ. It’s for you after all” smiling again, the moves to nod her head slowly before moving to carefully follow me back towards the party.
