Chapter 117
Athena’s POV
“Hello?” I answer.
“Hello Athena, miss me?” chuckles a voice, a voice that quickly sends a chill running down my spin in an instant.
“Lily?”
“So you do remember me, how nice” chuckles Lily’s voice, my hand beginning to shake at the thought of Lily calling me, at our home.
“W–What do you want?” I ask, my voice shaking as well, Kai frowning as he moves to inspect the house.
“What do you think I want? I want you. I want the pleasure of seeing you die right before I take everything that you hold dear to you. You
a chord with me. mates, Your home. Even those cute little pups of you” chuckles Lily as if hitting
“You leave my children alone. If it’s me you want then come and get me but you leave my children alone” I order.
“HA! And why should I? After all they’ll be mine as soon as you’re gone laughs Lily, enjoying her taunts, knowing they were working as my heart begins to race with fear.
“Please Lily… just leave them alone. Please” I beg, tears attempting to fall at the thought of Lily taking my pups away
“Beg me” orders Lily, enjoying my pain.
“Please… Please don’t hurt them, they’re just babies, innocent bystanders” I plead finally.
“Mmmm, let me think about it… Mmmm, NO”

“LILY” I cry
Laughing at my pain, does Lily continue to gloat, “I see that my second letter has finally arrived. Good. Now listen and listen carefully. I’m almost ready with my missing pieces, and once I have the final piece then I’ll be coming for you Athena, mark my words, and when I do you won’t know what hit you.”
Unable to reply, I just continued to listen to her, Kai eventually returning once he found no one else within the house. Terror now racing through me as Lily continued to gloat.
“Oh Athena, Oh how I miss you. But soon we’ll be reunited and then I’ll get to enjoy myself as I ever so slowly kill you” laughs Lily just as she moves to hang up, the line now going dead as she hangs up on her side.
Fear now gripping at my heart at all the possible ways that Lily could follow through with her plan, my body going numb until I suddenly collapse, passing out from everything that had happened since waking up that morning.
“LUNA” cries Kai, grabbing me with his arms as he attempts to keep me from hitting the floor. My body now limp as he carefully moves to take me back to my room.
Upon reaching my room does Kai carefully move to lay me upon the bed, now worried for his Luna as he moves to contact his Alpha’s. ARES! EROS! IT’S ATHENA! SHE NEEDS YOU‘ cries Kai with worry, his eyes still watching his Luna carefully.
‘WHAT? NOW WHAT HAPPENED?‘ cries Eros.
LILY THAT’S WHAT. SHE CALLED THE LAND LINE HERE AND SPOKE WITH ATHENA. WHATEVER IT WAS, SEEMED TO HAVE SPOOKED THE LUNA INTO FAINTING‘ admits Kai softly, still worried for her and her well being.

Chapter 117
Hearing each of his Alpha’s growls, does Kai move to sit down next to his Luna, knowing that she was going to need all the love and support that she could get once she woke up.
‘Kai, stay where you are, we’re on our way home. Don’t move until our return, that’s an order‘ barks Ares as they move to head for home.
Roger that
Then with that said, does Eros and Ares move to race for home, Kai still watching over his Luna as he did.
30 minutes later
Upon reaching home, do Ares and Eros both move to slam open the door to the house, Kai still upstairs with his Luna when hearing the door downstairs slam open. “ATHENA! KAI” cry the twins, worry now etched within their voices as they move to race throughout the
house.
‘Upstairs Alpha’s‘ comes the reply of Kai, Ares and Eros now rushing for their room.
“Kai?” calls Eros only to be shushed by Kai as he continues to watch Athena.
“She’s sleeping, she passed out once her call with Lily ended” admits Kai solemnly.
“What happened?” asks Ares, as he and his brother come to sit next to their mate, wanting to be there for her once she had awoken.
“Not sure, we had just gotten home when the phone rang, unsure of who it was she moved to answer it only to panic when she heard the voice of Lily come the other end. Apparently Lily had called to gloat about something, unfortunately I was not in the room she did, I was busy checking the rooms of the house to make sure that she wasn’t hiding here or something.” remarks Kai.
“What happened then?” questions Eros his eyes now resting on his mates face as she slept.
“Don’t know, by the time I returned she was begging to Lily for something and then suddenly she fainted, apparantly the call was too much for her and she couldn’t handle the stress of eveything that had happened.” answers Kai, trying to think of a more logical excuse as
to why his Luna had fainted.
Sighing, the twins can only nod before moving to dismiss Kai for the evening, both Ares and Eros soon moving to rejoin their mate on the bed as they each move to wrap an arm around her waist wanting to be their when she woke up, to be the ones her eyes would land on when she did. To comfort her when she moved to explain what happened with the call.
“Everything will be alright love, we promise” whispers Eros.
“No one and we mean know one shall ever harm you or our family again, and that includes that bitch Lily” whispered Ares, both silently promising their mate that no harm would ever come to her, at least as far as they could help it.
Moving to kiss Athena’s temple softly do both move to snuggle her closely, hoping that with their presence and body that Athena would feel safe and warm and just sleep for the rest of the evening, not wanting to burden her with the events of the phone call.
