Chapter 11
Mia continued to speak softly, “This older sister, on behalf of my mother, I apologize. Since you don’t want the money, please don’t follow the Milton family anymore. You have your own hands and feet, you can support yourself. I’m just afraid that my mother’s way of doing things might hurt your pride.”
Her words were polite and appropriate, earning praise from those around them.
People looked at Mia, then at Amelia, and thought there was a world of difference between them. Mia was graceful and kind, like a little fairy. Amelia, on the other hand, seemed petty, with a sinister mind.
The crowd behind the elderly couple shook their heads.
Seeing this, Amelia’s lips curled into a faint smile, and her clear eyes seemed capable of seeing through everything.
Mia, however, avoided Amelia’s gaze. For some reason, she felt a little afraid of this “older sister” who didn’t follow the usual rules.
Was she resentful because she had been kicked out of the Milton family? Was she trying to take revenge?

Three months ago, she had been meek and obedient, not like this at all. Today, it was as though she had gone mad, saying whatever came to her mind,
Mia couldn’t figure her out, but the Milton family had supported her for over a decade. What else did she want? Did she really think she could become the Milton family’s true young lady?
Impossible.
While feeling uneasy, Mis couldn’t help but look down on Amelia. She hid her disdain well, still speaking gently and softly,
“Mia is right,” the elderly man chuckled. “In medical
psychology, we discuss the psychological gap in adolescents, especially those from small towns. They care more about how others see them, and as a result, can’t always tell when people are being kind.” He then looked at Amelia. “Young lady, since you’ve already come to the big city, you should let go of your grudges and take a good look around.”
Amelia listened with amusement, then suddenly asked a completely unrelated question, “Are you the famous Dr.Adler, who is said to be able to cure all ailments?”
The elderly man, slightly displeased by her attitude, replied, “Yes, I am. Why?”

“I would advise Dr.Adler that while it’s a small matter to deceive others, it’s a big problem if you can’t even teach your students properly and they end up making a mess treating people.” Amelia spoke in a calm voice, pointing in a direction. “Just at the traffic light over there, your student is still kneeling on the street. Don’t you want to go check on him?”
The elderly man’s face twisted in disbelief, scoffing, “Impossible! My student-”
Before he could finish his sentence, a young man dressed like a medical student came rushing over. “Master, it’s bad! I don’t know what happened, but my senior brother is kneeling on the street and can’t get up, no matter how hard we try!”
The elderly man’s expression froze.
The elegant demeanor he had just displayed vanished without
a trace.
The atmosphere in the air turned awkward.
What was true embarrassment? The elderly man’s current state was a perfect example.
His face changed multiple times before he quickly walked toward the traffic light.
Before leaving, he shot a cold, almost murderous glance at Amelia–an expression that was difficult to describe, as if a

Amelia didn’t care. the Adler family was nothing but a group of morally corrupt people with narrow views. They didn’t deserve to be in the medical field.
Cure all diseases? They were turning medical practice into a popularity contest, accepting students left and right, only to raise a bunch of useless people.
Hah… As long as she stayed out of the spotlight, the Adler family would continue to exploit her achievements. It seemed like it was time for her little underlings to be replaced.
This whole scene had been orchestrated by the Milton family to impress the elderly man. Mary, who had followed the elderly man, couldn’t help but laugh when she saw that Amelia had even offended Dr.Adler.
This girl hadn’t been to the countryside and didn’t realize that without the Milton family, she was nothing. Now, she was making enemies with the powerful families in LA. Soon enough, she’d come crawling to them, begging for their help!
