“Miss! Seventh Miss! I’ve finally found you!”
Manager Monroe, with his strong New York accent, was so excited that his beer belly jiggled with every word.
Amelia turned to look at him. He was dressed in an expensive suit, not tall but exuding a businesslike air.
She didn’t recognize him from her circle.
Amelia raised her hand to grab her bag, her brow slightly furrowed, “You’ve mistaken me for someone else.”
“Mis… mistaken?” Manager Monroe repeated her words in a deflated tone. Seeing how outstanding this young woman was–her striking looks and elegant demeanor–he had mistaken her for the Seventh Miss he was supposed to pick
- up.
Now, looking back, he realized how foolish he had been.
The information from River County hadn’t mentioned anything about the Seventh Miss being a doctor. This young woman, with such remarkable medical skills, couldn’t possibly be the one he was looking for. If she were really the Seventh Miss, the Milton family wouldn’t have overlooked such an

It was just that her silhouette from behind had been so similar that he’d acted impulsively.
Seeing the misunderstanding cleared up, Amelia was about to walk away.
Manager Monroe, however, stopped her again, “Wait! Miss, could you come with me to the hospital?”
Amelia looked at him with deep eyes, signaling him to
continue.
Wiping the sweat off his brow, Manager Monroe didn’t reveal the real reason he was there, instead opting for a more typical explanation: “Here’s the thing. Our boss… he went to the countryside, and for some reason, he started running a fever. It’s been a whole day, and even after antibiotics and an IV drip at the hospital, his fever still won’t go down. I’d like to ask if you could come with me to take a look.”
“If he’s already at the hospital, there’s no need to worry. There are professional doctors there, and his condition will improve,” Amelia responded at first, not agreeing.
She had not yet told her grandmother about being kicked out by the Milton family. She was planning to visit her medicine shop after finishing her clinic today.

But then, in his desperation, Manager Monroe said something that made her pause: “My boss is staying at the LA Medical University’s affiliated hospital, under the care of Dr.Adler. I’m worried she might misdiagnose him!”
Upon hearing that Mr. Cromwell, the boss, had fallen ill in LA, it was clear he must have gone to the best medical facility in the area. But after hearing about the elderly man’s case, Manager Monroe was seriously worried.
First, the illness had come on mysteriously, and second, since he couldn’t bring the Seventh Miss with him, perhaps bringing this little miracle doctor would save his job.
“Miss, consider this a favor from me, Monroe. My boss is getting on in years and can’t withstand much more,” Manager Monroe admitted, not hiding his ulterior motive. “And I don’t want to lose my job.”
Amelia thought for a moment, then replied, “I charge for consultations. My fee is a thousand. Can you accept that?”
“Of course! Yes, yes!” Manager Monroe nodded vigorously.
A thousand for such miraculous medical skills? It was practically a steal!
Manager Monroe quickly led her to the roadside, slightly turning his body. “After you, Miss.”

A luxury business car worth over three million, understated yet opulent, pulled up. It had a New York license plate.
New York 88818… Such a license plate number wasn’t something an ordinary company manager could afford.
Amelia, being sharp, recalled the details her little brother had sent her earlier and had a guess. She raised an eyebrow lazily. “The person who’s sick… their surname is Cromwell?”
As she was about to get into the car, Manager Monroe almost stumbled!
“W–What? How did you-” He panicked, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. “Little Doctor, how did you know? I didn’t say anything about that.”
Amelia rested her chin in her hand, casually chewing on a fruit candy, her eyes narrowing into a light laugh. “Manager Monroe, don’t be nervous. I was just guessing. The surname Cromwell sounds quite grand.”
“Just… just a guess?” Manager Monroe let out a long breath, relieved. “Yes, the Qin surname does sound grand. lol…”
It made sense. How could this little miracle doctor know about the Cromwell family in New York? She seemed to live such a simple life, treating elderly people in the neighborhood and offering free consultations. She couldn’t possibly have any connections to the elite circles in New York…
