Evelyn Adler sneered. “Dr. Hart, it seems you’re confused as well. What does this little girl know about medicine? She must have heard the symptoms from some nurse.”
“Dr.Adler, this young lady just arrived, and we haven’t had a chance to speak with her yet,” a nurse quickly explained.
Evelyn Adler glared at them. “So what? How old is she? She probably hasn’t even finished school! Does she have a medical license to be treating people?”
**
*Smack.**
Without saying another word, Amelia slammed her medical license down onto the seat. Not only that, but her medical license was for a **chief physician**–a prestigious level!
Anyone who had studied medicine knew how difficult it was to achieve the rank of a chief physician.
Now, who would dare say she was unqualified?

The sound of the slap was like a sharp slap to Evelyn Adler’s
face.
The doctors and nurses were stunned, unable to believe it. “Chief physician? Isn’t that the equivalent of a professor here in LA… but she’s so young, how did she achieve this?”
Amelia’s deep–set eyes narrowed, her beautiful face staring coldly at Evelyn Adler. “Move.”
Evelyn Adler’s face turned pale as she continued to scrutinize the license, wondering if it was a fake.
But by this time, Amelia had already been escorted into the patient’s room by Manager Monroe.
Dr. Hart, the attending physician, followed behind, preparing to assist.
Some nurses, who would usually never dare to cross Evelyn Adler, were now also helping, all eager to act quickly and save the patient.
Evelyn Adler glared at the scene in front of her. No one had ever dared to embarrass her like this in the hospital.
“Let her treat him. I want to see who’ll take responsibility if something goes wrong!” Evelyn Adler sneered.

Evelyn Adler was calculating. She had heard Dr. Hart’s words and could already tell that the elderly patient’s condition was hard to treat.
Her refusal to take the case was entirely justified.
Poor people always had poor ailments. There wasn’t much money to be made from treating them, and the risks were high.
This girl loved showing off, didn’t she?
Let her show off. If she ends up killing the patient… well, at least it would be entertaining.
When the family arrives and finds out what happened, there would be a spectacle to watch.
According to her knowledge, the patient’s family hadn’t signed any consent forms yet. If something went wrong, this girl wouldn’t be able to recover from it!
“You, go and turn on the recording equipment in the emergency room,” Evelyn Adler said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “Make sure we’re not responsible if something happens.”
Given the unique circumstances, this treatment session had drawn many onlookers.

Inside the emergency room, Amelia had already put on a medical mask and a sterile gown, standing at the bedside. Her movements were methodical and precise, exuding
professionalism.
“Do we have the patient’s chest X–ray?”
“Here,” Dr. Hart immediately handed it to her.
Amelia took it, her expression unchanged. “Lobar pneumonia, complicated by heart failure.”
“Yes!” Dr. Hart nodded in acknowledgment.
Amelia opened the medicine box. “Please report the patient’s underlying conditions and any previous medications.”
“The patient is 78 years old with a history of coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, and a urinary tract infection,” Dr. Hart hesitated. “The problem is that the patient is allergic to many antibiotics, so we’ve been cautious in using medication.”
Hearing this, Amelia remained calm. She gently rolled up the patient’s long sleeve. “Just as I thought.”
Dr. Hart’s pupils contracted. “What is this…”
“A tick bite,” Amelia said, her tone light and unconcerned.

The doctors and nurses in the observation room couldn’t believe their eyes.
“We examined for so long and didn’t notice the wound.”
“It’s so small, I guess it’s hard to see normally.”
“But how did she know?”
“I don’t know, but she’s amazing! She just rolled up her sleeve, identified the tick bite with one look–so impressive!”
