Chapter 22
Evelyn Adler sneered, “What a fuss. She’s just from the countryside, of course, she’s familiar with the symptoms of insect bites. She’s just tricking all of you. Let her try using a scalpel and see how well she does!”
Amelia didn’t reach for a scalpel. Instead, she took out a set of silver needles from her medical box.
Those who had been anticipating Amelia’s skills suddenly slumped, their faces filled with disappointment.
“Acupuncture? For such a serious illness, she’s going to use needles?”
“She’s taking this too lightly!”
“Maybe she can’t even use a scalpel. Why did Dr. Hart trust a little girl? This is going to be a disaster.”
Evelyn Adler grinned maliciously. “I told you, she’s just pretending. She doesn’t have any real skills. Maybe that license is even fake.”
“Dr. Adler is right,” someone chimed in. “How can the be such a young chief physician?”

Chapter 22
“Could she really be a fraud?”
As people began to murmur, Amelia calmly lifted her hand and swiftly inserted the first needle!
The needle landed at the top of the head, entering about an inch into the scalp, and another three points deeper.

*(acupoint names).”
With each needle she inserted, Amelia would softly name the acupuncture point.
Her voice was neither rushed nor slow, and her technique was flawless. With her left hand, she expertly located the acupoint, while her right hand gently guided the needle. Occasionally, she would rotate the needle’s handle, or lift and insert the needle with precision.
The doctors and nurses in the observation room were mesmerized.
LA, after all, had limited cultural depth, and there were very few doctors proficient in Traditional medicine. Now, as they watched Amelia’s elegant, rhythmic movements, they were unsure of how to react.
This was like watching a textbook demonstration of acupuncture!

Even Evelyn Adler’s face changed as she muttered, “She… she really knows how to use needles… how is this possible?”
And that needle technique–she had never seen anything like
it!
Amelia held the needle, entering and withdrawing it three times with steady, deliberate movements. Her gaze was calm, almost as if this was just another ordinary day for her.
The doctors were astonished, and couldn’t resist the urge to take notes on her technique!
Even if Dr. Adler was an expert in this field, she didn’t possess such skill!
Evelyn Adler, noticing the gazes around her, stubbornly said, “It’s all showy nonsense. She’s clearly just stabbing randomly. How could that be effective?”
Just as she finished speaking, the nurse in charge of observation suddenly shouted, excited, “The fever’s gone down! The patient’s temperature is down to 37.3°C!”
“The patient’s pupils are normal, and their consciousness is improving.” –
“What about the heartbeat?”

Instantly, the observation room was buzzing with excitement!
Manager Monroe jumped up in joy. “I knew it! The little doctor really can do it!”
He glanced at Evelyn Adler and smirked, “Compared to some so–called experts, she’s a hundred times better!”
Evelyn Adler’s face felt as if it had been slapped–her face burned with embarrassment.
Meanwhile, Amelia, who had achieved a miraculous result, remained unfazed. She didn’t stop there. She raised the needle and carefully punctured the tick bite wound, gently squeezing out the toxins inside.
In her ear, she could still hear the elderly man mumbling, “Amelia… is that you, Amelia?”
Somehow, the elderly man found the strength to grasp Amelia’s wrist in a disoriented gesture!
Evelyn Adler curled her lips. Even if the patient was saved, what would that change?
An elderly person from a rural area–how useful could they be? It was likely they would be a burden.

With that thought, Evelyn Adler felt some satisfaction in her heart.
At the same time…
In the VIP–exclusive elevator, the president and vice president of the medical university hospital had arrived. They looked with awe at the man standing at the center, their bodies trembling.
The man was dressed in a perfectly tailored suit. His face was so pale that it made him look both noble and fragile. But no one dared to treat him like a mere patient.
Because the dangerous aura emanating from his eyes was so strong that it was impossible to ignore…
