Chapter 3
“Boss really has an eye for this! I’ll prepare the payment account for the Jenkins family right away!”
Amelia’s eyes were calm. “No rush, I’ll take a nap first, and deal with it tomorrow.”
Amelia’s biggest interest, besides making money, was treating all kinds of difficult and mysterious illnesses.
A job like the Jenkins family’s was quite a good one.
In fact, when it came to handling this case, Amelia was probably the only one in LA who could do it with a calm mind.
Right now, it seemed like all the prominent families in LA were in a hurry.
For instance, the Milton family had been pulling strings everywhere, trying to get their hands on a letter of invitation from the Jenkins family.
Rumors were even circulating in the streets, claiming that LA had never been this lively in a long time.
First, the richest man in New York was looking for his
granddaughter, and then the Jenkins family came to visit for a consultation.
Some gossip even suggested that the Jenkins family came to LA because the legendary “Miracle Doctor” had appeared here.

There were many rumors about this “Miracle Doctor,” but no one could tell if they were true.
But with the Jenkins family’s invitation, it was possible that the “Miracle Doctor” would really make an appearance…
The next day, in the retirement community.
Amelia was still late getting up, just like any other working person. On hot mornings, she never wanted to leave the cool little house or the soft bed.
But, there was no choice–she had to make money.
Amelia washed her face, went out with no makeup, grabbed her bag, and in order to avoid traffic during rush hour, she picked up a bicycle.
“Amelia, you’re heading out?”
“Mm… yeah.”
Along the way, she greeted people here and there, casually munching on bread sticks that Uncle Lee had given her. She pedaled slowly, soon blending into the flow of traffic.
Half an hour later, at the famous Caesar Hotel in LA.
The lobby and the outdoor area were both packed, no one had time to spare.
These past few days, it seemed like every luxury car in LA had gathered here.
Compared to all these fancy vehicles, Amelia riding in on her

So much so that, before she could even stop, the security guard came over and shooed her away.
“Hey, hey, hey, what’s this poor student doing here? We’re not open to the public today.”
Amelia stopped the bike with one leg, her gaze meeting his. Her tone was calm. “I’m here to save someone.”
“You? Save someone?” The security guard burst into laughter. “I say, little girl, you’re young, but quite the bragger, aren’t you?”
Amelia thought for a moment, then pulled out her phone and opened the order page. “Please go tell the people inside, ‘The Miracle Doctor is here, invited.””
“The Miracle Doctor? I’m the doctor here!” The security guard waved her off with a dismissive glance. “I’ve seen plenty of invitations, but I’ve never seen someone show up with their phone like that…” As he spoke, a luxury car drove in, and he eagerly waved at it. “Go on, get out of the way, don’t block the road.”
After that, he hurried to open the door for the luxury car. “Ms.Adler, Miss Milton, you’re here! Let me go inside and prepare tea for you right away.”
The people in the car just nodded through the window, without a word in response.
The security guard, however, seemed as though he had won a great prize.

As the luxury car drove past, the young woman inside the car seemed to recognize Amelia. Her delicate, pale face showed hesitation.
The elderly man asked, “Mia, what’s wrong?”
She smiled lightly, “Nothing.”
Outside the car, Amelia walked away with a calm expression, her movements decisive. There was even a hint of amusement
at the corners of her lips.
Who would have thought that she, who had once been able to decide life and death with a single needle, was now so easily looked down upon?
When a tiger fell on the ground, even dogs dare to bully it. Amelia curled her lips.
She always believed that medicine was about fate, and she would never treat those who were driven by profit.
As for today’s consultation, she had already decided to let it
- go.
Amelia took out her phone and was about to send a message rejecting the order.
But suddenly, from the street, a loud scream pierced the air!
“Not good, someone has fainted!”
Instantly, a crowd gathered around.
“Oh my god, it’s a child!”
“His face is so pale…”

Hearing the commotion, Amelia didn’t hesitate. She parked her bike and walked quickly toward the crowd.
Lying on the ground was a little boy, around three or four years old. His forehead was drenched in sweat, clearly from exertion.
Someone grabbed a guy in a white coat and shouted, “Young man, you must be a doctor, please save this child!”
“No, no,” the young man in the white coat shook his head, a look of disdain in his eyes. “His family isn’t here. I can’t act on my own.”
He added, “Besides, I don’t treat just anyone.”
Seeing this, Amelia stepped forward, pushing through the crowd. Her voice was cold and her tone professional. “Please step aside, let the air in. The patient needs ventilation.”
Her presence was so commanding that the onlookers didn’t question her and stepped aside without a word.
When Amelia crouched down and placed her fingers on the little boy’s neck, an elderly woman nearby grew anxious.
“Little girl, you’re so young, are you sure you can handle this?”
