The first needle landed with a sharp “thwack“.
The little boy immediately furrowed his brow, and amidst his struggle, it seemed he regained some consciousness, his small brow furrowed tightly.
The crowd gasped. “He’s waking up!”
Oliver froze, his face turning a mix of pale and green. “How is this possible…?”
How did she do it?
Just one needle? And the boy regained consciousness?
The boy opened his eyes. His dark, round eyes were shiny and clear, his lashes long and delicate. He stared at Amelia quietly, his little face pale.
Everyone widened their eyes in disbelief.
The elderly woman could hardly believe it. “Little girl, you just casually gave him one needle, and he’s better already?”
Amelia gently pressed on the site, checking the blood flow. Once it was enough, she used a cotton swab to press and stop the bleeding. “It’s not just casually sticking in needles. The specific acupoint and fingertip have the function of clearing heat and opening the orifices. His condition is heatstroke, caused by high temperatures. Acupuncture can treat high fever.”

“Sounds like you really know what you’re talking about,” Oliver sneered. “This boy hasn’t spoken since earlier. Maybe it’s because of the needle you just put in–he’s suffering from side effects!”
The elderly woman was puzzled. “He’s already awake, what are you talking about side effects? Young man, you’re not just avoiding an apology, are you?”
“What’s it to you?” Oliver shot her a glance and suddenly smiled. “I get it now, you two are in on this together, right? One’s luring people in, and the other’s scamming. It’s a collective scam. I knew all you fake practitioners are up to no good.”
At his words, Amelia’s eyes turned icy. She was about to raise her hand when, unexpectedly, the little boy spoke, weakly and coldly. “Traditional medicine has always been a legacy. You haven’t mastered the art of medicine–perhaps you should read more in the future.”
“You…” Oliver was immediately speechless. Just when he had been saying the boy wasn’t healed, the boy spoke–directly confronting him. Wasn’t this a slap to his face?
The elderly woman laughed so hard she almost fell over. “University kid, she’s talking to you, you should read more!”
“I won’t lower myself to your level,” Oliver sneered, speaking arrogantly. “A bunch of poor people.”
*Whoosh!*
Amelia flung a silver needle from her hand. It grazed his cheek before piercing into the nearby locust tree.

The suddenness and fierceness of it made Oliver freeze in place, even causing his legs to wobble.
But Amelia just smiled slowly, calmly, her beauty almost demonic. “Did you forget something, hmm?”
She looked like a young girl, but the murderous aura she exuded made everyone around her feel uneasy.
Oliver gritted his teeth, struggling to remain composed. “What did I forget?”
“Apologize and call me ‘Master,” Amelia tapped her phone twice, her smile devilishly charming.
Oliver refused to back down, still arrogant. “Everyone makes diagnostic errors. I don’t have time to argue with a half–baked little fraud practitioner like you.”
The elderly woman couldn’t stand it anymore. “Is this it? You‘ re a disciple of Dr.Adler, and you lost to a little girl, and you still won’t apologize? What about your medical ethics?”
“What’s wrong with my medical ethics!” Oliver shamelessly retorted. “Who can prove what I said earlier? The money you’ ve earned in your lifetime isn’t enough for Dr.Adler’s treatment! You should feel lucky I’m giving you free medical advice. And if you people want to stir up trouble, go far away. Do you even know where this place is?”
The elderly woman’s hand shook with anger. “You, you!”
Oliver coldly snorted, a look of disdain on his face. Now that it was a society governed by law, he didn’t believe this little girl would dare lay a hand on him.
