Chapter 51
Irene’s POV:
Now was the right time, the perfect moment to express my true feelings, especially when I felt my entirety melting for every one of his tiny actions. He was taking over me without him knowing, and I wasn’t sure if he knew for certain just how much I loved him and still loves him.
“I love you, Damien Chad.” I boldly declared, watching his expression and how it transformed from shock into surprise then to appreciation. It was as if I was doing him a favor by telling him what I’d always felt for him.
“Irene..” his tone was a whisper, as he walked towards me in slow steps, rhyming with the pulse of my needy southern lips.
“Mmmn.” I replied, staying in my position, waiting for him to reach me and do whatever he wanted with me.
*Say it again.” He rasped, there were smiles in his eyes and twinkles sparkling in his blue eyeballs.
“I love you. Damien Chad,” I repeated the words that resonated so perfectly with the thumps of my heart for him as if each thud was a pronunciation of the words that composed my heartful confession.
“Again.” He puffed out the words from his mouth a puff of smoke as he reached where I was standing, grabbing both my hands to be entwined with his
“I love you so much, Damien.” I grinned at him, our gazes locked on each other, and he mimicked my grin, revealing his pearly white teeth and how his eyes shaped into crescents due to how happy he was.
“You don’t know how happy hearing you saying those beautiful words to me made me feel.” He mumbled, his eyes getting glossy “Thank you for telling me.” He added and pulled me softly into a hug that warmed my wholeness.
“There’s no need to thank me. It’s how I have always felt for you And I’m sure you know that” 1 told him, and he smiled before capturing my lips for a few seconds.
“I love you, Irene Chad. You are forever mine and I’m going to make sure nothing ever comes in between us” He proclaimed and I nodded sweetly, blushing and smiling.
“I believe you,” I replied, and before we could keep declaring more of our feelings to each other, I dragged him to the small two–seater couch in the room.
“Let’s eat before we end up devouring each other.” I joked.
“I wouldn’t mind that. You are a better meal” He commented and I squished his cheeks. “You are too naughty Damian Chad,” and he nodded “Yes, naughty for you Wifey
With cute banters and teases in between, we eventually ate and dressed up. We joined the family in the lounge, ate, and chatted. Nobody dwelled on the nightmare anymore. Charlie was unaware so everything went smoothly.
It felt like a family rest day. Just watching movies, eating, chilling at the lounge and all cuddled ур
Sweet stories were being shared and everyone had a good laugh and some embarrassing moments.
And when nighttime came, Delores dragged me to the kitchen so we could cook together. But Lenora joined us, making it – an all–women cooking night while the guys chilled out with cold root beer in the lounge. Charlie had his cold banana milk
as he joined them 100.
The scene was really cute, but we ladies had to deliberate on what we would be cooking based on the available ingredients.
“Fried rice, the Korean style. And some braised chickens?” I asked the two ladies, and they nodded.

“Perfect,” Lenora said, giving me the thumbs

“And I wanna know all the tea about how you and George met each other,” Delores said to Lenora. It has always been easy for Delores when it comes to mingling with people because she is a social butterfly. And it was lovely to see Lenora returning the same energy-
So we got to cooking after splitting the task. Lenora insisted she wanted to taste my cooking so, while I was the main chef, she started telling us about how she first met George.
I felt like a movie. He’s just so perfect.” Lenora said, already gushing before she even started the story. I was busy with the vegetables chopping, cutting, and slicing them accordingly.
“Spill it already.” Delores, with her thick Spanish accent groaned causing me to chuckle at her antics.
“It started as a one–night stand” Lenora began, but just that first statement caused me and Delores to scream before clasping our hands over our mouths to keep it quiet.
The door was suddenly pushed open and the men rushed in, looking so worried.
“What happened?”
“What’s going on?”
They asked in chorus and we at first froze, staring at them before bursting into laughter.
“Could you ladies answer our question?” Steven asked, and Delores managed to cease her laughter and answered.
“It’s girls talk. You guys should shoo.” She then pushed them out of the kitchen, including little Charlie and shut the door.
“Men.” Lenora shook her head and continued talking, “So we met at a bar, crazy for each other just by staring lustfully at each other. And with alcohol in our system, it was easy for me to let loose. We danced at first, then found ourselves in a nearby motel. God, this man was so freaking crazy in bed. I thought I had reached heaven that night because I couldn’t see anything anymore. My vision was white. My body was wobbly.” She was blushing and had to stop talking.
“He’s so good and well packed down there.” She continued telling us about her relationship with George as we kept on cooking. By the time the food was ready. Delores and I had already known about sixty percent of their story.
She never saw George again after that night until two weeks later, when he came in as a switched student to her class and sat beside her. And all through that lecture, they were eye–fucking each other until they ended up in her apartment again.
Addiction grew into need. Lust developed and entwined with love, And that is how they ended up here, engaged.
“Dinner is ready!” Delores announced and soon the dinner was served and everyone was digging into it.
Sweet comments about how delicious the food was, were being thrown in the air. It was a pleasant time bonding with everyone and not once did any bad thought cross my mind.
And when we were having our dessert, which was a pie Delores made, George got on his feet and elinked his fork on his glass cup.
“Can I have everyone’s attention, please?” He said, “I have an announcement to make.”
